Modern Croque Madame & Corned Beef Hash with Whipped Eggs
Elizabeth M.

We always enjoy our visits and have learned several of the ins and outs of the First Watch menu. Unfortunately, one of their biggest issues is the freshness of their fruit. Understanding the difference between good and rotting produce is essential to a quality experience. I have ordered fruit in the past and noticed some would be rotten or starting to rot. This lead me to avoiding anything with "fresh" fruit when visiting First Watch. Fruit is a bit more delicate then a good deal of other types of produce and requires quicker turnaround. Utilizing better product standards and processes can help with this. Would like to see First Watch come up with a better plan for their produce and educate their staff to understand the difference. Everything else, as usual, was delicious and delightful. *Note: Ask for fresh fruit or just plain out avoid it.

Busy little place with reason! Broad menu and delicious options! The only thing that wasn't fantastic was the gluten free toast, but the rest was delicious!

Market Veggie Scramble

Met a friend before work this morning here since I'm in town for the week. We enjoyed a hearty, healthier breakfast in the outside patio area before 9 am so the summer heat wouldn't get to us yet. She enjoyed blueberry pancakes that are a seasonal special and I enjoyed a scramble of eggs, potato's, spinach, peppers, and goat cheese with a HUGE side of carrot cake pancakes. Pretty much ate for the day. DEFINITELY will be back!

Bacado A.m. Superfoods Bowl

Such kind servers and delicious brunch food. The Bacado was good and not too salty or greasy. The strawberry jam that came with the toast was a good in between of tart and sweet but a bit too sweet for my preference. The A.M Superfoods bowl was tasty. The coconut chia pudding was a good amount of coconut flavor but not too overpowering or sickeningly sweet. The almond butter toast was delicious and simple but the toast kind of got stale over time, so make sure to eat that when it's immediately served. The ambiance was cute and comfortable. However, the service is crazy because of the long lines. Make sure to do the online waitlist first before you arrive because you need to then check in in-person.

Over easy egg, NOT

Seated at 1024 am and food arrived at 1119 am, coffee burnt. Poor service. Whole Grain Toast

Another Florida restaurant we used to frequent every weekend. I was excited to see a First Watch open in Hixson but worried it wouldn't last. I was wrong, they are always packed! We made a point to go one morning when we were up early enough to beat the crowd. This particular location is much smaller than what I'm used to, so I can imagine they go on a wait fairly quickly. Prices are around $10+ a plate, but you do get a ton of food for that amount. Everything is made fresh so feel free to add or omit any of the ingredients. The location is clean and staff is extremely friendly. The kitchen is open so you'll have a view for the whole meal. I'd love to make this a monthly stop if we're up early enough!

Million Dollar bacon
Denise H.

My eldest son and I ate brunch here Sunday, June 9th, 2019. We started with the Million Dollar bacon. The bacon is cooked with a sweet glaze and a slight spice. It was interesting. I'm in the 'Crispy Bacon' club, so while the flavor was unique, the chewy texture was meh for me...my son's only comment was the name of the dish had delusions of grandeur. My son chose the Trifecta, with chicken sausage. He said this was his first experience with cheese that added no flavor to the eggs and syrup that wasn't sweet, however he like the sausage. I had the Frittata Rustica. It was a vegetable frittata with a crispy slice of baggett and greens tossed in a lemony dressing. The salad was "trendy" but didn't add anything to the dish but the frittata was delish! My son liked it as well. The food is pricey, so we were glad we had a coupon.

First time coming to Firstwatch and it was very yummy! The warm maple syrup was to die for!!

This was my first time going to first watch. The staff were so nice and welcoming. Especially the hostess!! Loved her! But what I loved more was the warm maple syrup. It was to die for! Oh and the food was good too!

Custard Lemon Ricotta Pancakes
Bil M.

I ate here two or three times on my recent trip to Chattanooga. Maybe it's Covid, but I don't understand why this place is not jampacked every morning. The food is amazing, and something that you'd expect from a much larger city. The lemon ricotta pancakes were perfectly cooked, fluffy and crispy. I couldn't get enough of them.

This food is amazing! Large portions, great food and low prices! I can't say enough about this place. Suffice it to say, just go!

Typical first watch. If you've had it before? You know what it is. It's nothing wonderful but it's a decent breakfast and brunch place.

Every one of the sides looks so good and fresh that I wanted to get each one of them just to try it! The fish was cooked perfectly and was nice and tender. The added little muffin I didn't expect was a nice touch and delicious. The collard greens were SO GOOD. I'd get them again. So flavorful and cooked well. The beets were fresh and the goat cheese carried so much flavor. For the desserts, we got the carrot cake with pecans and chocolate cheesecake. Both were soooo good. I would get both of them again, especially the carrot cake which was so warm and moist. And the candied pecans were such a nice complement to the cake - not too sweet at all. The ambience is super nice and fresh, and our server was so sweet and engaging. The hostess as well. Everybody there was so nice and welcoming. Entering or exiting New Country road onto Hamill can be rather difficult at various times of the day. We had to drive past the road and turn around as traffic was backed up on Hamill and we could not turn left. Once we got into the parking lot and drove around to the front, all was well. The parking a plentiful and handicapped spaces are placed near the front door. Walking into the building shows a typical IHOP setup with a hostess station right in front. We were seated immediately, and our server came by quickly to take our drink order. We ordered our food when the drinks arrived. The food arrived at our table in about 15 minutes. The breakfast sampler has two eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, hash browns, and two pancakes. The eggs were a bit undercooked from what was ordered while the meats were a bit overcooked. The hash browns were ok, but close to being overcooked. The pancakes were excellent. I ate everything but the pancakes, which I did take to go. The meal was filling if not necessarily cooked as ordered. The classic eggs benedict was a better choice. The eggs were cooked as expected as was the ham. The hollandaise sauce was fine but probably not home made. The hash browns were a bit overcooked. Our server was excellent, being attentive without being intrusive and also very personable. Unfortunately, the meals were only fine and did not match the excellent service. Coupled with the more difficult entrance to the building, the food needs to level up to make the trip worthwhile.

One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!
