Interesting spot attached to a church. Parking threw us for a loop as they blocked off their direct entrance on a Sunday morning and was funneling through the church entrance off the side road. Ample seating inside and out and was not very busy at 1030am. Service was friendly and attentive. Brunch menu had less options on it than the version online but had a decent amount of breakfast and lunch items (ie burger, wings, salads, pizza). Wife ordered western omelette and I went with the choose your own bfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, and a biscuit. Food definitely took too long to come out (30 min after we ordered) but it was good once it finally came out (biscuit was huge and fluffy). Couple other observations, good many kids here bc of location to the church and the fact they have a playground area. Wasn't as loud as you'd expect but there were some toddlers wandering around at times. Also, with the open front door and raise up garage doors, we were hounded incessantly by flies during our meal.

Burger week continues and on Thursday, first stop is a restaurant I've never visited. Affiliated with a local church, I applaud their mission to support recovering addicts. The burger wasn't bad, and I think there were some missed opportunities to really accentuate flavors with just some minor tweaking of the ingredients, as an example, the candied jalapeños were just too tiny to contribute to the overall flavor. Service was good, a very friendly and helpful staff. Clean restaurant, but rather cold and plain.

CYO breakfast. Egg whites, bacon, biscuit and potato's.

The online menu is different from the one in store. We went for Brunch over the weekend and were disappointed in the items I was hoping to get. Service was fine. Restaurant was very clean.

Searching for a new place downtown and we stumbled upon the Common Table. It was a beautiful day to sit outside and the food was delicious!

The place is very clean, friendly staff and it's really big. Apparently it's connected next to a church which is cool. Imagine having service and going next door for lunch and fellowship. The food was very good. I had a pimento on sourdough bread meal, they brought the wrong order in but was so apologetic and even took it off the bill, which I'm really grateful for but it wasn't that big of deal for me. It was a kind gesture and they deserve 5 stars. Love them for that. We were out of towners, just got done seeing rock city and googled some food places and found the perfect spot.

Great food, and the portion sizes are very generous with very reasonable prices. The kids meals were almost adult sized for only $8-9.

It was also a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. I love that they work with local organizations for fresh vegetables and meat! Our waiter was very nice and fairly attentive. But the food... For the good - the crab cake was delicious. It was like all crab meat with no filler and was very tasty. The pimento cheese was also SO yummy. You could tell it was made fresh and had a great flavor. The pita it came with was fine, a little over-grilled. I was not crazy about the fried okra. I wish the pieces weren't just cut in half, because to me they had that slimy okra texture inside. My gf said they weren't THAT bad, but I really had to push myself to eat them. The rosemary fries have a great flavor and were crispy (I prefer thicker fries but my gf enjoyed these). I LOVE mac and cheese and was super excited to try theirs. It was very creamy and had a good flavor but there was way too much cheese for the amount of noodles. Like the ratio was pretty off. Now for THE issue. My gf ordered the Filet Mignon, medium. It came raw and without the blue cheese compound butter. By the time the waiter came to check on us, I was half done eating. He took the steak to be put back on the grill and brought it back with a bowl of crumbled blue cheese. It was still raw inside. He brought us extra fries, but by the time it came back I was done eating. She asked for it to go and it was STILL RAW. She had cut it, so it was super obvious if you looked. The manager came and talked to us and they took it off the bill, but for a $40 filet mignon it should not take 3 tries to cook it right and it still not really be right. She said there are cold spots on the grill and they're training a new line cook, but it was not a good look... I'd maybe give more of a pass if they were packed, but there was no one eating inside and maybe two other tables of folks outside.

Every one of the sides looks so good and fresh that I wanted to get each one of them just to try it! The fish was cooked perfectly and was nice and tender. The beets were fresh and the goat cheese carried so much flavor. For the desserts, we got the carrot cake with pecans and chocolate cheesecake. Both were soooo good. I would get both of them again, especially the carrot cake which was so warm and moist. And the candied pecans were such a nice complement to the cake - not too sweet at all. Everything about this experience was top-notch! From being seated quickly upon entering, to explaining how the ticket validation thing worked (more info at the end), customer service was some of the best I've been shown. The ambiance is chic but casual-great for both cozy date night or fun family night. Our server was so friendly and patient as we asked questions about the menu. I ordered the grilled salmon with spicy crab remoulade and my guy ordered the smoked wings with a side of fries. I was happy that I was able to select my own sides from the ones on the menu so I opted for the fried Brussels sprouts with maple and bacon and the buttermilk whipped potatoes. After a short wait, our food was brought out. This was truly one of the best salmon dishes I have ever eaten! The salmon was cooked to my liking, the potatoes were soft and fluffy and the fried Brussels sprouts were absolutely divine and perfect. The remoulade was a little salty but it may have been just been my taste. The potatoes helped with that so it was not a deal breaker. My guy was pleased with his food as well and I could tell he enjoyed everything he ate. We agreed that we would take this trip back just to eat this meal again. It was truly a wonderful experience, from beginning to end. I highly recommend trying this gem out! Pro Tip: The restaurant validates parking. If you park in the lot across the street, do not prepay on the app or online. Ask the servers at the front to validate to save the $18 parking fee before you order and within 15 minutes after entering. Unfortunately, we didn't do this and the restaurant cannot reimburse the money after you've already paid. You've been warned!

Nothing arrives looking like it spent twenty minutes being positioned with tweezers. It's meat, bread, potatoes, pickles and sauce--the sort of food that requires napkins and leaves evidence. The Reuben is borderline obscene. A heap of deeply colored, tender meat barely contained between aggressively toasted bread, melted cheese and pickles. It's messy. It falls apart. You stop caring almost immediately. The turkey club is the quieter surprise. Thick slices of actual turkey--not the sad, uniformly circular stuff that's been haunting office refrigerators since the Eisenhower administration--piled onto grilled bread with bacon, avocado and enough richness to make the whole thing work. Then there are the potatoes: thick, fried rounds with crisp, dark edges and soft centers, served without ceremony alongside ketchup and a creamy orange sauce. Simple food done properly. There's nowhere for bad technique to hide. And that's really the appeal of Main Street Meats. They're not trying to convince you that lunch needs a backstory. They butcher animals, understand meat, make sandwiches and appear to take all of it seriously without taking themselves too seriously. Michelin noticed the place. After eating here, it's not particularly difficult to understand why. Come hungry. Order too much. Get the Reuben. Wear a shirt you don't particularly care about.
