This diner was open until midnight which was why we went there for dinner. Damien was our server and he did a great job working his half of the room. Quite a few people eating later in the evening. They also serve alcohol. Menu was pretty huge. The diner was nice and clean. My husband was happy with his chicken and bacon panini. He had a cup of chili which was just right. I ordered the beef stroganoff cup of soup and it looked and tasted like vegetable beef soup with a couple of noodles. The soup was not at all what I expected. I also ordered a chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad had way too much mayonnaise. I also couldn't taste anything but onions. This sandwich was really disappointing. I picked at it but I really couldn't eat it. The desserts looked amazing in the glass case. I would definitely come again and try something else on the menu. read more

I came in and was greeted right away. The place is clean and comfortable in temperature. I came with a double mission. To grab breakfast sandwiches and a desert. I asked which would be better, moist and light and I was recommended to the 7 sins. Can't wait to try it. I also ordered three egg sandwiches and as they don't have them on the menu they were a little on the costly side. Order came to $36. I hope the food is good. I'll report back afterwards. First time coming to City Cafe Diner and will be our last. Honestly wasn't impressed with any part of our experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. First off, the host comes off incredibly rude. Doesn't seem like a pleasant guy to be around at all. I think he may be the manager or owner of the restaurant cause he went to the back and was barking orders at the staff a couple times during our visit. Definitely was off put by his demeanor, I don't think he should be working in customer service at all. Or be managing anyone because I'm sure the staff hate him. Also, our server Nolan seemed like an ok guy but he rarely came to check on us and even forgot to input my sisters appetizer order. When we asked about it he said he'd check on it but they didn't even receive the food until we were done eating our main course. Not to mention the potato wedges looked dry and just had cheese thrown on top and most likely melted in the microwave. Poor guy probably hates his job. Their menu is so big, you can easily get lost in the options. And I don't mean that in a good way. Typically when restaurants can't focus on a main theme for their menu offerings I'd bet that means most of the food is frozen and just heated up if ordered. The quality is typically lacking as well, which was the case with our meals. My husband got the cordon bleu panini, I tried their four bridges panini and my son wanted to try their fettuccine Alfredo. I think between my husband and I, the fries were the star of our dishes. My son seemed to like his meal though. My sister got their eggs benefit and her husband got the monte cristo which he said wasn't all that great. Just based on our first visit I cannot recommend anyone trying this establishment. Not only was the food lacking, but the manager and service could also severely improve. read more

We popped in on a Friday evening around 9 while on the road to Atlanta and it did not disappoint. It was a steady flow of families entering but it was never too packed inside. The customer service was phenomenal. Every question asked was answered. Every thing that we requested was quickly provided. 2 managers were present and they both checked in to ensure all was well. According to our server, each cook has worked with them for 10+ years and you can tell! The Philly on a wrap came out hot hot and tasty! The cakes....must get at least two slices. The red velvet and Oreo did not disappoint! I'd recommend this as a casual dining experience that's quick and so tasty! read more

This place has some of the best, shall I say traditional/Greek/Southern food around. It's always consistent and it's always pretty good. Their mac & cheese, not to be ordered as a side item, has to be ordered ala carte, but it comes big enough to share with someone and it's always worth it. Now let's go to what they're really known for, their desserts. Just go, I'm not gonna tell you what to order, just go and figure it out for yourself and you will have a hard time because it's all so darn good. A slice of cake will be as big as your face, or bigger, depending on your face. A true case of your eyes will always be bigger than your stomach and you'll take it home. Their menu has something for everybody and almost any taste! Our waitress was very on the spot, absolutely phenomenal ! the only miss was the stupid parking situation. There is a parking lot almost next-door adjacent to the Mayan kitchen, but just let me tell you it's not worth parking there. The people that own that lot are rip off artist and scum buckets of the first order! Even if you have to park down the street in front of a meter you're better off doing that than paying the scum parking people $10 for a couple of hours, $11 if you use a card! You might think I'm a bit perturbed about the parking situation, and I am, but scumbucket people like the ones that own that parking lot truly deserve to have their feet neatly tucked in their bungholes alongside a special place in Hades! read more

I love the shrimp dinners, but I've never had anything bad there. Service is fast and friendly and if you are a handicapped with a handicap sticker for your car, you can park on the street where the meters are without paying. read more

This restaurant is the best! Full of very colorful people (literally)! The people next to us went to a high school football game where they came covered in multicolored chalk. The food is delicious and the diner is open 24 which makes it a perfect spot for a late night snack read more

Me and a friend of mine came here because it was really late and all that was open and I am shocked at how good the food was for the price!! I got the ribeye and it was really good!! Up there with Texas Roadhouse but way cheaper!! And the baked potatoes are awesome!! It was only $35 for the whole thing!! The place is a fun diner feel with a jukebox and everything!!! The menu is HUGE too and it will satisfy anybody!! I never leave reviews on stuff unless it's absolutely remarkable and I can for sure say this was!!! Definitely 10/10 recommend! We stayed at the Marriott several years ago when the diner was closer. We found out that it had moved downtown so we went to check it out. In the area for the week, I've been here twice. Both meals were great with quick, friendly service. Fried okra was made from scratch, gravy in the chicken fried steak plentiful, and a big side salad with various vegetables. Breakfast was eggs Benedict, also good. read more

Had breakfast there and Evan was our waiter he was great and even gave suggestions of things to do in the area and welcomed us back. The breakfast was amazing got omelettes and side of pancakes! Came back that evening for dinner with a large party of 35 even though we couldn't sit together (totally understandable Friday night), Nick made sure that we were seated quickly and was very accommodating to our needs. We tried the country porkchops meal which I would get again! Our server was wonderful as well that evening. They know how to ensure that customer service is always a priority and we didn't have to ask for refills or anything. And don't eat your whole meal because you have to save room for their epic desserts nothing disappoints. I had a grilled pork chop, soup and broccoli. The pork chop was GREAT. The soup was good. The broccoli needed flavor. I also had the Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake. I was not impressed with the cake. Good size for the price but the flavor was not the best. It reminds me of Tres Leches cakes and I don't like Tres Leches. I don't recommend it. The waitress needs to work on her (not sure how to word it.) I was specific about my order and she pointed out the meal and I told her I was good with what I ordered. She proceeded to basically tell me I was messing up ordering the way I ordered as she wiped her nose with her hand.
