    Cornbread

If you're in Chattanooga and want a meal that feels both elevated and comforting, Main Street Meats is the spot. We started with their cornbread appetizer, and let me just say--it's the kind of cornbread that makes you rethink every other version you've ever had. Perfectly baked, rich, and just the right balance of sweet and savory. For the main event, I went with the pork porterhouse paired with goat cheese grits, and wow. The pork was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection, and the creamy, tangy grits were the perfect sidekick. It's one of those dishes you'll be craving long after you leave. On top of the incredible food, I have to give a big shoutout to Madeline. She wasn't just our bartender--she was our host, guide, and storyteller for the evening. Attentive, welcoming, and spot-on with recommendations, she really elevated the whole experience. Main Street Meats nails the vibe: a mix of upscale dining with a warm, approachable feel. Between the food, atmosphere, and Madeline's hospitality, it's easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in Chattanooga. Highly recommend!

This was a happy accident. I was suppose to go to a different spot but said let me give this place a try. It was truly amazing. I love the finished wood minimalist look. Indoor and outdoor covered seating. The service Shoutout Lex!!!was amazing, and the entire team was amazing. The food was so fresh and the meat melted in my mouth. Everything tasted amazing. One of the best meals I've had in Chattanooga in a long time. The broccoli was so good a little salty but it was such a chill vibe. There is a bar with lots of aged libations and a large bar variety.

Holy cow!!!! A must dine-in spot in Chattanooga in my opinion. The sandwiches at lunchtime (including burgers) are DELICIOUS. We had the Warm Smoked Turkey and a burger and split them. They totally knew the drill in terms of splitting a sandwich half-and-half for two people to share!! I would HIGHLY recommend going here. It's so fun to eat locally, and this had a complete local field from the food to the ambiance and the AMAZING service (thanks Seth!). If I lived in Chattanooga, this would be my go to lunch spot for meeting friends. But NOW it will just be my go to lunch spot every time I'm in town!! My boyfriend wouldn't let me make this review complete, without shouting out there incredible bourbon selection too ! just a cherry on top of a perfect experience

MEAT SWEATS WITH MAIN STREET MEATS | just kidding we had just the right amount of meat to NOT give us meat sweats - I was craving a steak and we apologized profusely as we were seated outside (with our pup) right before closing time at 8:30pm. However, the server was super nice and didn't care that we had arrived so late. We got a fun little impromptu light show since the fire station across the street had an emergency so that was exciting. We went big with the Bear Creek Farm 48 day dry-aged porterhouse, served with bordelaise & mashed potatoes. The steak was juicy and tender, although the fat could have been rendered a LITTLE more, but I still enjoyed the nearly perfect medium rare. The server also recommended the autumn squash which may not have looked like much but was delicious.it was a hearty meal for 2 - maybe lacking in some greens but one meal without greens can't kill us... We were convinced to order the PB&J Cream Cheese Panna Cotta - and even though we were stuffed it was a fun way to end the meal. It really tasted like we were eating an elevated PB&J in panna cotta form. We will 100% be back for the burger, tallow fries and a cocktail next time we're in town...

Hard to decide if lunch is better than dinner! Lunch, or dinner has an amazing bacon cheeseburger that all other burgers are compared to. Amazing bartenders available. To mix up some goodies,... Dinner time we had ribs, New York strip steak, add on broccoli, mashed potatoes, and about the best potato salad I've ever had! (Potato salad has some horseradish in it that gives it a little heat, Amazing ) Not our first trip, definitely not our last.

Ok I'm a foodie, I Travel the world and I've always said " a steak is a steak" until now. Possible the best ribeye I've ever had and the broccoli with garlic was breathtaking. Can't finish what they delivered but I'll be back someday!

Really delicious food at this butcher shop turned restaurant. Daily drink specials and superb service. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly environment and delicious food . Limited food menu and the focus is quality over quantity. Everything we tasted was delicious and flavorful.

The food is amazing! This is our second time coming here and everything is superb! Jonathan was our server and he was on top of it! We had a variety of plates tonight....rib plate, hamburger with fries and the filet with broccoli. The filet was ordered by my bonus daughter and she loves A1 Sauce...she said she did not need A1 at all it was so flavorful. The hamburger was, hands down, THE BEST burger I have ever had! No lie! The ambiance inside is kind of loud but very communal and outside is quieter with more individual tables. Inside does have single tables too. We have yet to be disappointed with our food selection! If you are in town, like us, go and check this place out! You will not be disappointed!

The burger is obviously one of the best in the galaxy. But the thing that really zoinked my buds was the potato salad... ya'll: I didn't know potato salad could be the main character. Watch out. She'll steal your man. Perfectly creamy. Perfectly tangy. I miss it whenever I leave. Also dare I say - one of the best martinis in Chatt.

    Stephanie W.

OMG! The vibe was great! The service and recommendations by Caleb were great! The food was unbelievable! We both got burgers which melted in your mouth and we shared the potato salad which was like none I'd ever experienced! And the drinks!! I had the Raspberry Beret and my husband got the Homegrown. Ya'll, (my Texas is showing) you have to check out Main Street Meats if you're in Chattanooga!! We will be back Caleb!

Nashville Nelsons are back in Chatty and popping back for another review because we LOVE this place. We don't know anyone that works here, get freebies, or have any connection to this place but man - we are in love with it. Tonight was a starter of sourdough with Brie and apple butter and hazelnut chunky slap your mamaw little iron skillet appetizer. They always have standard apps and then one like this - we have enjoyed the others as well but this one was over the top. Absolutely stunning. The husband got a whiskey flight and he highly recommends this here. Generous pours and always interesting picks. The frozen espresso martini was perfect for me. Friday is ribs so he got a massive plate with warm potato salad and Cole slaw. I got the roasted chicken and it was delicious. I don't ever eat radish or the other veggies in this but it was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had. We were too full for dessert, so next time we may have to share a plate! Service is exemplary and we love the casual vibe with exceptional food. This is a Chatty MUST DO, folks. Go on in!

Is this a kid friendly restaurant?

I don't recall a kids menu and every thing seemed "more involved" than food that kids usually like.

Why do open at Noon on Saturday's?

The butcher shop opens at 11am and the restaurant opens at noon for lunch service. Happy to get you started with a beverage if you come in before noon. Hope this helps!

Entertaining a vegetarian and would like to bring her here for dinner - is there an off-menu entree available?

The do not officially have a vegetarian menu. They do have salads, hummus, and sorted cheese.

I made reservations about a week in advance (highly recommend), and even arriving a few minutes early at 5:00 pm, the place was already buzzing. The hostess greeted us immediately and had us seated right away. Our server was on it from the start: waters filled, drink orders taken quickly, and excellent guidance on appetizers. We went with the tomato pie, which sounds simple... but don't be fooled. The flavors are anything but basic. This is not an appetizer you politely share and move on from. It's plenty for four people, though you may find yourself quietly plotting how to secure the last bite. For our mains, we shared the warm beet salad and the beef picanha. The salad had such a great flavor pairing that even my husband, who is not a beet fan, loved it (a true culinary miracle). The picanha was incredibly flavorful and may very well be the best thing on the menu... except for the mashed potatoes. Honestly, I would go back just to order my own bowl of those mashed potatoes and call it dinner. Amazing service, outstanding food, and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back very soon.

We ordered the Asian q burger and the mushroom melt burger and it took quite a while for them to come out and when they did they had unfortunately been left on the grill for way too long and were charred and crunchy. One set of our fries was cold and the bun to burger ratio was extremely off. Luckily, the staff agreed that our burgers were accidentally overcooked and they remade them no questions asked. The remade burgers were moist and better but still not fantastic. They were just burgers with minimal toppings on them. Not really seasoned and the flavor came from the toppings themselves. The buns were still too big for the burgers so there was a lot of extra bread and they have potential to be great but they were just average. Would have probably been a three star review but the staff and drink selection really earned the extra star. Would go back to drink and maybe snack but probably not order a burger.
