We dined at this restaurant last night while in Chattanooga for a conference. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish! Selenna was our server and she was so attentive to our party of 6 as well as the other tables she was taking care of. The salmon on my strawberry feta salad was seasoned to perfection! My brownie sundae for dessert was made even better when my request to have chopped walnuts added, was honored. The overall ambiance was calm, but high spirited. After a very early visit to Ruby Falls and Point Park, great places, we found The FEED Co. Loved that they use local farms. We were seated in the large bar area. They have another dining area and an outside area too. Hunter was our server and she was great! She had great recommendations and was an attentive, fun person. Our glasses never ran empty. We started with Jalapeno Cheddar Hushpuppies with Spicy Yogurt. My husband had the Smoked Brisket French Dip - Smoked Brisket, Caramelized Onions, Provolone Cheese, Au Jus, French Hoagie with Beer Battered Fries. I had The Motherclucker - Springer Mountain Farms Southern Fried Chicken, Spiced Pickles, Hot Sauce, Duke's Mayo, Niedlov's Bun. Hunter recommended adding Pepper Jack cheese and Bacon, as well as the Brussels Sprouts with Maple & Bacon. Everything was wonderful. There were way too many Brussels sprouts. It also would have been nice if they were cut into smaller pieces. They had a special dessert of Blackberry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. Parking was a breeze. There is a lot directly across the street that does validation. There are detailed instructions next to the pay station. Upon entering we were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Wait time was reasonable (20 mins) and there was a fair amount of seating. There were about 3-4 groups waiting to be seated. We were walked through the establishment and seated at a booth table near the bar. If you are into sports you can see the TVs from just about every seat. The waitress arrived shortly after our seating and took our appetizer and drink order. We started with the Triple B. The fries came out quickly, were hot, fresh and delicious. The drink I ordered was out, but the waitress gave another option, but unfortunately that was out as well. Ended up having an old favorite, Guinness. For our meals we ordered the smoked brisket French dip and the wagyu burger. Upon ordered the burger our waitress informed us there was a shortage of patties and if we still wanted the burger we would get one patty instead of two, but at a lower cost. Both dishes were amazing and we couldn't finish them as both the fries and the entrees were larger in comparison to other places we have eaten. Overall this was a great experience with great food. The only thing we had difficulty with is having to use the phone flashlight to read the menu as the lighting was really dim. Will definitely return if we take another trip here. read more

We found this restaurant on a recent trip to Chattanooga and of all the places we dined this was definitely lowest on our list. The website which boasts "farm fresh cuisine" leads one to believe the restaurant is at least somewhat refined and "eclectic." When we arrived we were seated on the "tavern" side at a high top. This immediately felt like a bait and switch as almost every photo on the website gives off the vibe of the "table" side - pretty, warm - country meets posh. The "tavern" side feels like a combination of a road-house and a Dave and Busters - nothing wrong with either - but not when you're expecting something else. It also became quickly clear that no one who runs this restaurant has ever had a meal at this particular table - located smack dab in front of a side entry door. Less than ideal on the coldest day of the year. The server did offer to move us if it got too cold. Unfortunately not long after we got our food - which was quite tasty - our server was sat with a table of 13+ people nearby. God bless - that poor waiter must have gone through every single item on the menu with these people - which was great for them.... but not for any of the other tables he had. We waited 20 minutes after finishing our meal to get the check. This is not a reflection on our server - it's a reflection on poor management. Not a single other server or host - and there were at least five - who passed our table ever once made eye contact, cleared a dirty plate or asked if we needed anything else. Not a single manager came by either. (Just to give you a little comparison... the day before we ate at Milk and Honey and there was some miscommunication over which server was assigned to our table. After waiting without a greeting for about 5 minutes I noticed a young employee clock that we didn't have water or side plates. Without missing a beat - he came over - introduced himself as the supervisor - apologized for the wait - offered us an appetizer on the house (of which we didn't really want so instead he got us a coffee and a tea which was very generous) - then when our waitress came over - she apologized profusely - chatted with us about our visit - checked on us multiple times throughout the meal - and even wrote out a list of places she's recommended knowing that we were vegetarians. That's an example of impeccable management.) All in all - the food was very tasty - and they do have large tables which are great for big groups. But the poor management and misrepresentation of the establishment itself on the website puts this last on our places to try again on our next time through Chattanooga. read more

Amazing experience! Great menu with tons of options! Lots of vegetarian, fish and meat items to choose from. We got the spinach and brussel sprouts dip to start which was excellent. They're using awesome pita too that is soft and chewy. My husband had the beef dip which was massive. Tons of meat on a huge roll that was fresh. There's a lot to say about feed, the food is a mixture of southern Classics and farm to table. Starting with the appetizers, you get the feeling that the food is going to be warm and comforting, and also offer a little bit of intrigue. Might I recommend as starters the Wagyu and pork belly meat meatballs - wow factor here is high. As a close second, I would recommend the rib tip appetizer glazed with Carolina barbecue sauce. For dinner, we had a mix. She had the airline chicken with brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. I had the steak frites. The steak was a hanger, and the fries were lightly battered and fried to perfection. Our server, Hunter, what can I say other than she's a delight and she was always attentive and quick with some really amazing suggestions. Don't feel bashful about browsing the cocktail menu either, you won't be disappointed by any of your choices! The decor is kind of farmhouse, but very welcoming. I really enjoyed this restaurant during our visit. We stored here after white water rafting and. It was pretty empty around 2 so we easily food seating on the outdoor patio. I chose the Southern fried catfish which comes with buttermilk whipped potatoes,garlic green beans and is dressed with corn salads. Ooooh 10s across the board. The fish was pretty cooked, the potatoes smooth, crunchy green beans and that corn salad was a great addition. The Lookout mountain lemonade was refreshing without being overly sweet. Outdoor patio is nice area to relax, have a good conversation while eating. Complimentary parking is available in the lot directly across the street for patrons. Delicious food and a great experience overall! I went here with my family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The pot roast was incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. The chicken was moist and cooked perfectly, the fish fry got a thumbs up from my daughter, and the burger was flavorful and seasoned really well. We came up to Chattanooga about two weeks ago for a continuing education opportunity. One of the folks at our tour/educational event recommended FEED and so we popped over to have lunch once our experience was done. This is a fairly large and spacious restaurant in a vibrant part of Chattanooga. I found fairly cheap street parking about 1.5 blocks up and made it over no problem. There wasn't a wait for our party of 6. We sat on the patio, which was wide open but covered and airy with fairly good acoustics. There was a very occasional whiff of something unpleasant (vaguely garbage-y) but I suppose that's a risk you run with outdoor dining. The menu is classically American but creative and high quality. Our waiter was Timothy and he provided great recommendations, was patient with our waffling, and prompt and friendly while grabbing refills, checks, etc. Their sweet tea was excellent and I easily drained two glasses of it, haha. We started with two orders of the fried green tomatoes for the table. This was the low point of the meal for me; I agreed with a few other dining companions that the tomato slices were a little too thick and the breading did not bind super well or have enough seasoning, leaving it falling off in somewhat bland clumps. I also wish there'd been more remoulade sauce, as that was the best tasting part of the dish. It wasn't bad, just not particularly impressive. However, everyone really seemed to enjoy their main course! Our orders were varied: a steak salad, the meatballs, the steak and fries, an order of smoked wings, the brisket French dip, and my meal, the wagyu smash burger. The burger was excellent! It was a massive serving size and I honestly would've been more than fine with one patty instead of two. The meat was juicy, tender, and delightfully rich and flavorful. The bun was perfectly cushy and stood up to the meat well. The cheese was melty and the bacon was crispy but still chewy. Lastly, the garlic aioli pulled it all together! The fries were pretty good if not a *tiny* bit greasy. I got some spicy ranch for dipping and found it to be a little odd -- it wasn't super spicy OR "ranch-y," just kind of sour and very lightly hot. I wound up eating the fries mostly plain. All in all though, a minor complaint! Overall, we definitely enjoyed our lovely visit and it was a nice way to cap off our time together in Chattanooga. Thanks, FEED! read more

Came here just before lunchtime on a Saturday. The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly. The only issue we encountered was the poached eggs on one of the orders were over cooked. FEED Co is in a downtown area in an older brick building. There is a parking lot across the street. Go to the kiosk and follow the directions on the sign to choose the 15 minute free parking. You will then get a ticket to give to the hostess who will validate for free parking. The interior has a fun, funky brewery type vibe, with decor such as chandeliers made of a drum set and another one made of old fire extinguishers. We ordered a mahi sandwich, beet salad, fish & chips, and a French dip. All of them were good! We also enjoyed a couple local draft beers. My wife has often reminded me that I haven't been to FCTT. She's enjoyed both her previous visits and wanted me to check it out. So we finally did. This is an engaging space on "the main" with a lot of visual appeal. The staff are all friendly and on the look out for their guests. I'm a big one in general, but especially when it comes to creative touches. For example, the magazines in the lobby and the tables on the deck were arranged with loads of style and spunk. Our waiter was fantastic. He had to be because we had to wait SO long for our meal. The thing is that he kept engaged and told us that the kitchen staff didn't get the order quite right and had to redo it. I appreciate the transparency, but I was hungry. Super surprised we found this gem open with available seating and still serving food on a late Thurs evening. Our first night in Chattanooga and craving some southern comfort food, the Feed and possibly one other were the options we had since we took too long exploring Look Out Mountain. I liked the simply presented menu and decided to start the night off properly with their Fried Green Tomatoes app. Scrumptiously fried tomatoes cut thick and fried to crunchy perfection. The wagyu country fried steak was unctuous and melt in your mouth amazing but the star for tonight's meal was the gnocchi main that I was a tad hesitant about but holy... it delivered and then some. The description of flavors used in this dish just sounded really busy but wow the pesto, brown butter, caramelized onions, cherry tomatoes and all really worked beautifully together. Most of the food was very good. Unfortunately, my chicken sandwich was overcooked and dry. The Brussel sprouts were excellent and worth a visit by themselves. The brisket French dip was also very good. We were off the main bar in an area which was a bit less noisy, which was nice for conversation. Just my opinion. I've been twice now in the last nine months. The first time I got the mahi sandwich and it was dry and not very good. I went again today and got the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Grilled chicken was pretty tough and little dry. I had a little difficulty cutting it even with a steak knife. My sister got the grilled chicken sandwich and she said she couldn't even Bite through it because of the toughness I think I'm done giving them chances. Also, the service was pretty darn slow. If you have teenagers, you can sit next to the gaming machines, but if you're trying to have a casual dining experience I would recommend switching to a different table because it can be loud. Delicious southern food! When the music on, it's LOUD and hard to have conversations depending on where you're seated. Staff is always friendly and the place is clean. There is limited seating options if you have large parties, it's all tables but finding space to move tables together when busy is hard. Turns out our waitress left out some important details, such as the deal was only for specific beers I ordered the beer salad with chicken, which was huge and pretty good. But it only had 3 slices of beets on it, even though it was a "beet salad." Our table got the rib tips as an appetizer and they were extremely dry.
