The King Sue Double Imperial New England IPA

I've started frequenting this restaurant with more frequency as it's a spot my grandchildren enjoy, and I've had very good luck with my own meal selections. Their callout is for Cajun food and while I've tried only a couple Cajun items, I have found them to be just average, just too many trips to Louisiana over the years. Once you've had great, that becomes the comparison point. As to the rest of the menu, they offer some really great options, sandwiches, burgers and some of their specials, truly outstanding. They have a GREAT beer selection, always rotating new and exciting breweries beyond some of our local breweries. My last trip I tried a Mardi Gras Pils from Urban South, but the real star was the King Sue from Toppling Goliath. Service is outstanding, your food always arrives hot and fresh. Plenty of TV's if you want to watch some of the featured sports of the day. My only complaint, the parking situation sucks.

Jambasitto: andouille sausage m, shrimp, chicken over risotto. Side of gumbo.

To paraphrase the late, great Biz Markie: Did you ever find a place you wanted to love, especially as the food was pretty above. Let me tell you why I resist that temptation after we endured a waitress with attitude inflation. Food: Borderline great especially jambasitto with Cajun shrimp, Andouille sausage and chicken. Nice and not overly spiced. A cup of gumbo on the side was just as good. But ... when was the last time you ordered $15 burgers to find no cheese? Or a lazy, surly, older waitress who rudely points out you had to request it (and pay a buck more) and then continues to offer rude, not snarky, comments? Even the small stuff was lacking: having to request water refills after the dreaded cheese incursion. You'd think she'd try to rally. Thankfully another waitress took over while Endora bewitched other customers. The burgers otherwise were good as were the fish tacos and our meal. But again a fumble: no additional service after she brought the check or offers of drinks or even perhaps a dessert. An $80 tab easily could have been $100. At least it was free as it was a birthday trip (I.e., the other couple paid and we never asked about the tip). Ambiance: Gorgeous place with plenty of open air options set in a re-emerging neighborhood. Excellent customer vibe and inclusive of well-behaved dogs. Food: good but study the menu before ordering as none of this crew ever worked at Chick-fil-A. You're on your own. Service: it puts the poor in Pourhouse. (We did do a dessert at Clumpie's, an unexpected treat).

Located near river close to downtown but not in the mix. Nice set up similar to sports bar with several tv's and inside and patio seating. Fast seating although crowded. Service was great despite how busy they were for the game. Food was just ok with wings, chicken sandwich, and macaroni bites. Drinks were good. Plenty of parking in lot and on street.

What a fun find! In town for a family weekend and looking for a spot to watch football. This fit the bill! Enjoyed some appetizers and several rounds of drinks. All was good and enjoyed sitting on the patio and the spot for the kiddos to play! Thanks for the fun night!

    Shrimp po' boy and gumbo

First time here and it did not disappoint! Our server was fantastic- cute little southern girl. The receipt says Amen corner. We had the jalapeño hushpuppies, gumbo and shrimp po boys. I had the best mojito. The place was packed at 5:00 on a Wednesday night with young and old alike. We will most definitely be back! We had at least four staff members stop and ask us how our meal was- now that's service!

This is very much a locals bar and restaurant but is still welcoming to visitors. I picked a good night because it's half price Wednesday on chicken wings so after ordering a beer (Oddstory Brewing- golden Blackbird) I ordered 8 of their Cajun dry rub wings. Is it me or do most chickens these days look like parakeet wings? They tasted great and were cooked crispy with good flavor from the dry rub just most of them were tiny. The beer wasn't my favorite but that's on me. Nice and friendly bartenders but I think where I sat a the bar and the beer I attempting to stomach, threw off my visit. Might try it again my next trip to Chattanooga.

Pimp My Fries with Gator Sausage Queso

Visited Parkway Pourhouse for a group Happy Hour and the waitstaff were 5/5 stars! Tried the Pimp My Fries with Gator Sausage Queso which were different. Unfortunately we kept getting overwhelmed by smoke on the patio, but other than that would return to try their other menu items!

Beet Salad - Small w/ grilled shrimp

I love that Parkway is dog friendly as we were able to bring our Fido. It seems like a typical brewery with food, but there is a distinctive Louisiana Cajun/Creole influence to it's menu. I am from south Louisiana, and am always hesitant to order the stuff I grew up on (gumbo, ettoufee, poboys, etc) outside of the home country. I debated in my mind, but decided to go with something safe. I ordered wings with Cajun dry rub. I was a little disappointed as the wings were over fried and a little dried out. The dry rub didn't survive the deep fry. My wife enjoyed her beet salad. I would give this restaurant another shot, and maybe try a Cajun entree.

you're good, but im waiting for you to be great. food was perfectly okay. we got the po-boy of the month "ole steak nick" and left satisfied enough. boursin cheese was delightful but i wish there was more of it. we both said the steak tips seemed dry. margaritas were strong.

Salmon Cake Sandwich + Pimento cheese grits

Good food, vibes, and service. Stopped here for lunch with family on a Saturday. It was surprisingly quiet, but we were told that it was due to the holiday weekend. We picked a seat outside, which was comfortable despite the heat thanks to the fans. We sat right next to the putting green, which was great as we had a 3 year old with us who was all about running around and playing with the golf balls. We were served quickly, though the food took some time to come out. I got the salmon cake sandwich with the grits and my husband got the safety melt with Mac & cheese. Others got wings, the chicken sandwich, and the kids pizza. Everyone was satisfied with their meals! Overall great experience!

Love to have a drink and snack with my pup on this patio. Super chill and food is good. Friendly servers

Fried shrimp poboy on Leidenheimer's bread. Fully dressed, including remounted sauce. Five stars!

I read a lot of the reviews before going here. You can ignore the negative ones. This is a must-go joint. My wife is a native of New Orleans. She said it's the best meal she's had here in 2 years. As a matter of fact she joked that we should move to the adjacent apartments, and eat here every day. Leidenheimer's bread is what they use in New Orleans. It makes a huge difference in the quality of the poboy. We started with the boudin balls, shared a fried shrimp poboy, and shared the bread pudding. All were a ma zing. It doesn't hurt that the waitresses are pretty.

Can't recommend this cocktail bar enough!…read more We visited the bar late night while staying at the hotel and it did not disappoint. Despite clearly being short staffed and having a busy night - we were greeted almost immediately and encouraged to help ourselves to a seat. We sat at a table away from the bar (only one available) and a server came by to take our drink order. Before he could return, another employee - who was running food to another table - immediately came over to us after to see if we wanted to order food (which we did!). She took our order, then the drinks arrived and before we knew it the food was out and was incredible! The menu is quite limited - and even more so when you one of you doesn't eat meat - and yet we were able to make a meal out of 2 caesar salads, the hummus plate and the deviled eggs. And don't even get me started on the cocktails! We started with a Manhattan and an Espresso Martini that were perfectly crafted. And then for our dessert round switched to their signature Old Fashioned. Each one was better than the next! Thanks for an incredible time, Whiskey Thief. We will definitely we back!

If you want outdoor seating, get here early because space outside is limited. Inside, there's plenty of seating options with high-top tables, couches, and bar seating that create a relaxed atmosphere. We came mainly for the view and drinks, and the view absolutely delivered. Watching the sunset over the river was easily the highlight of the experience and worth seeing at least once. For drinks, we ordered Old Fashioneds and Margaritas. Unfortunately, both were just average and didn't live up to the setting or atmosphere. Service was also disappointing. The staff was not very attentive, and at one point we actually had to leave our table and go to the bar to find our waiter. In the end, the incredible view couldn't make up for the mediocre drinks and poor service. Great view, but this ended up being a one-and-done visit for us.
