The View!
Cheri B.

What a beautiful place to view our lovely Chattanooga! The service is extraordinary, and the cocktails, wines and food was really wonderful. Check out these photos of our experience! We were celebrating a birthday with our family and it was just the perfect place! Will definitely be going back again!

View from the outside in. There were heaters on the patio to keep things toasty.

It's a beautifully decorated rooftop bar on the 10th floor of the Westin in downtown Chattanooga. There was live music when I arrived at about 830, but I guess it ended at 9. The music was then a hip, but familiar play list. I ordered a Smoked Manhattan. They bring out a little smoking machine and smoke the drink right in front of you. A nice little show and the smoke added a new level of flavor. The crowd was very diverse. You had people staying in the hotel wearing jeans, people coming there for a night out in their Saturday night best, and people from a gala that ended coming up in ball gowns and tuxes. If you're visiting Chattanooga, visit this bar for great views, great service, and a unique experience you can't find anywhere else in Chattanooga.

I'm writing this review, but really feel like I need to go back again to get a full experience. We went here over the holiday break because we haven't been here yet - and wanted to go out. I had been sick and Cooped up in the House. When we arrived, it was easy to find and the location is perfect. Parking is valet, or park on the street. We paid $8 to park in a lot nearby and walk. There is an awesome spiral staircase in the middle of the hotel, but you can only get to it from the 2nd floor. Or take the elevator to the 10th floor and you'll hear a bit of noise, walk towards it, and you're there. The bar/restaurant feel is amazing. It's simple, yet elegant and classy. You could come in casual wear and enjoy a drink with friends and watch a sports game (as they have TV's) or sit on the enclosed outdoor patio around one of 3 fire pits and sip on a crafted cocktail. I had an Irish Manhattan - and it was great. My husband got the pineapple mojito and it was wonderful as well. My friends ordered the tacos and said it was amazing. We didn't order food. Here are just some things to note: - Service is different here, it's the feel of a rooftop bar in NYC where the servers come around and get your order (just a lot smaller than the NYC rooftop bar scene. - You can order drinks directly at the bar if needed. - You can order food and drinks even in the fire pit area. - Drink prices range from $5 beers to $10-15 craft cocktails. Compared to the area, this isn't a bad price at all. - wine options were a little more pricey and slim on selections, but the options were great choices in my opinion. - the bar is kind of loud - I was screaming at my friend to talk - it wasn't a club or loud music vibe, it's just people were enjoying themselves. So basically, if you are taking a group here to chat it up and don't want to scream, I would go elsewhere for that. (Say a group of friends that have catching up to do) - it is a great date location and there are couches and chairs side by side for the perfect one on one convo even if it is loud. - it opened in the fall so I can't comment on what it's like for the nice weather, but it was warm with the plastic enclosed walls for January. - the views are nice - but I would say Chattanooga's best views. This was probably the biggest disappointment for me. I was hoping for a little more. All in all - it's a great venue and a beautiful hotel. The service was great and the atmosphere was amazing. The only reason I wouldn't go here, was if I was wanting to support more of a local bar scene. Other than that - it's a win win for craft cocktails and fire pits! :)

Cool 10th floor bar

This is a really cool bar on the 10th floor of the Westin. It has lots of couches and tables around in a casual setting. It has a semi-outside area, but its covered, with heat, and a beautiful view at night. My wife and I stopped in for a drink after arriving from out of town and it was the perfect place to relax. I also ordered the pulled chicken tacos for a snack, also very good. If you're looking for a casual place for a drink, this place is excellent. There was a decent crowd when I went on Wednesday night at around 9:30 pm.

Very uptown type of bar sitting almost at top of Westin downtown. We loved the artsy decor and the wait staff dressed professionally. We sat at the bar along the window and had a beautiful view of the city. There also was an area that during warm weather will be open for a breeze. Menu had great food and drink options but we had already eaten so just had a beer.

Glass elevators have interesting ceiling with a celestial feel

First visit here even though this place has been up and running for quite some time. I like the rooftop bar concept and while music was nice, it was entirely too loud to hold a conversation with the friends I came to catch up with. Living room style seating was comfy but very large so there was a lot of far leaning forward and to the side to hear each other. I moved away from sitting at the taller bar stools because once I sank into the seat I felt like a toddler. Drink menu is average expected prices, but I was disappointed with mine-Shades Of Fall- it looked more like a shot. I ended up diluting it some with ice and seltzer but it was a bit like drinking cough syrup so I wouldn't recommend. My friend needed a little snack and ordered the deviled eggs topped with caviar. Sorry folks, for $12 I expect more than 4 halves. So don't go in there hungry. What was more laughable is they brought out 3 plates for us to share. For the 4 halves. Hahah..... Later I noticed that the receipt has a charge for regular sales tax plus another beverage tax- so tax there was 20%!! How is that even legal to double tax a drink? We had just left another hotel bar and there was only a single tax there so not sure what was up with that. The ambience wasn't bad & our waitress was pleasant, but I feel like there is room to improve- turn the amp down, offer some less ridiculously priced snacks and you have a start....

I highly recommend the "Bartender's Choice" cocktail option--the staff is incredibly skilled, and the drinks they crafted were awesome. However, management needs to fix their highly deceptive checkout flow. The bar chooses not to bake Tennessee's mandatory 15% Liquor-by-the-Drink tax into their menu prices. When the bartender flips the POS tablet to pay, the system completely hides the itemized receipt. It jumps straight to a final total that includes a combined 24.25% in state and liquor taxes. To make matters worse, the screen presents ridiculous suggested tip options of 20%, 30%, and 40%--which are calculated on top of that heavily taxed final total rather than the subtotal. If you just tap a prompt, you end up aggressively tipping on hidden taxes. Come for the excellent cocktails and great bartenders, but ignore the suggested buttons and manually calculate your tip based on the actual menu price of your drinks.

I ended up going with the taco flight and selected two Crown Jewel tacos -- the truffle mac and cheese with lobster -- along with one Island Banger, featuring coconut shrimp and mango salsa. Every single taco was phenomenal. The flavors were bold, layered, and genuinely exciting. What really sets them apart is their signature double-tortilla approach: a fried hard shell tucked inside a soft tortilla. It creates the perfect contrast of crunch and softness in every bite and holds up incredibly well to the generous fillings. Between the inventive combinations, fun menu, and the unbelievable execution, this was a top-tier taco experience from start to finish.

I can't speak to the other wait staff, but our guy clearly had other things on his mind. Every part of our visit took way longer than it should have. We were done about 30 minutes before we ever managed to get our checks and pay. So, I'd make sure to pay for a couple of hours of parking. I'm going to attribute all that to this particular waiter, and judge the place on its other merits. The person you get might be quick and attentive. All in all, this place wasn't my cup of tea, to be charitable. The decor was pretty over the top. Young adult is obviously their demographic. I'm 65, so take that into account. Taste, of course is an individual thing. Therefore, I'm giving the food about a 7, the ambiance a 2, and hope I'm never served by our waiter again .

As far as drinks are concerned they have; wines, bottled beers, cocktails. Of course, they have beverages like cokes, sweet tea, milk, hot chocolate, coffee and bottled water. They have no fountain drinks and no beer on draft. Everything is in a bottle, so remember that. They are open in the mornings and close around 10am to 11am daily.
