    IPA + Tina Fey cocktail
    Claire M.

Good drinks, service, + vibes. This is a solid spot in Red Bank! Very cool interior with an upstairs and downstairs level, + a patio w/ a food truck in the back! My husband and I just stopped in for drinks after playing tennis on a Saturday. We were able to find a seat easily and were quickly served. I ordered the Tina Fey cocktail while my husband order one of the IPAs on draft. The one downfall was how small their draft beer menu was. Their food menu looked good, but we weren't quite ready for dinner, so just drinks for us! I'd love to come back to try more of their food & drinks.

Clever Alehouse is a great, local, neighborhood restaurant. I love that is has the neighborhood vibes and is a casual place to go hangout. Wether you're on the first floor at a table, in the basement on a couch, or outside on the patio, you always feel welcome. The staff is friendly and the speed of service is perfect. Their food is great too! The queso was great, and I loved the fried tortilla chips! Our table got a mixture of items and they are shown in the photos. None of us were disappointed and would order everything again! They mix of snacks and entrees with some Asian fusion mixed into their offerings. Get the house made Kimchi slaw! They've got a good happy hour and other specials throughout the week. Trivia Night is on Wednesdays at 7! There is street parking, and a parking lot accessible on the side of the building.

Gaburnator was great. The cheese tots oh my goodness. To is an adults dream. Happy hour 6 out 7 days. Arcade downstairs, games and lounging areas. I'll be back with a group. As always the staff is what made it. My man said tell everybody if it's good. Well it was good. Come check them out. A hidden gem.

I kept seeing on Instagram that this new spot opened in Red Bank and decided that I had to try it! Before I went I also found it it's owned by the same people that own Bitter Alibi, so that was already a huge plus for me! We went at prime dinner time and it was absolutely packed, but we were still able to snag a small table! Service was fast and efficient and they even gave me my beer on the house! We ordered the cheesy spicy noodles and the brat flatbread and both were absolutely delicious! My one complaint about this spot is that it's not very big and it was extremely loud in there, making it hard to have conversations. All in all, I think this is a great addition to the Red Bank area and I'll definitely be back!

Clever is owned by the folks who brought Bitter Alibi and Daily Ration to the bar/food scene. Clever is more BA than DR. It has a very neighborhood bar vibe. We tried it for dinner because we are big fans of Daily Ration. The food has some good flavors but nothing to wow me. The citrus pork ramen bowl was very flavorful but it was overwhelmed with dry, overcooked pork. My wife's chopped salad just looked sad. They're new. Give them time to get it right and it'll be a wonderful stop in Red Bank. Right now it's just eh.

Love seeing new spots open up on Dayton Boulevard, this place is a great addition! Their menu is chalked full of goodies from ramen to flatbread sandwiches and the Breaking Bad puns are what really drew me here! The cocktails are top tier and sure to wow your taste buds. They even have outdoor seating along with inside tables and a good sized bar. I had to try some of the ramen, tue glazed pork shoulder really set it off, I'm not the biggest ginger fan but even with the dish being rather ginger forward I really enjoy it. I will say the noodles were a bit more like spaghetti like rather then authentic ramen but it was a nice twist on something classic.

Can't recommend this cocktail bar enough!…read more We visited the bar late night while staying at the hotel and it did not disappoint. Despite clearly being short staffed and having a busy night - we were greeted almost immediately and encouraged to help ourselves to a seat. We sat at a table away from the bar (only one available) and a server came by to take our drink order. Before he could return, another employee - who was running food to another table - immediately came over to us after to see if we wanted to order food (which we did!). She took our order, then the drinks arrived and before we knew it the food was out and was incredible! The menu is quite limited - and even more so when you one of you doesn't eat meat - and yet we were able to make a meal out of 2 caesar salads, the hummus plate and the deviled eggs. And don't even get me started on the cocktails! We started with a Manhattan and an Espresso Martini that were perfectly crafted. And then for our dessert round switched to their signature Old Fashioned. Each one was better than the next! Thanks for an incredible time, Whiskey Thief. We will definitely we back!

At first, servers were scarce, but as I got up to go to the bar, the bartender must've seen me and was on his way. He took our initial drink order. At $14 per glass of wine, we just went for the bottle at $54 and a charcuterie board at $27. We are on vacation, so why not. The view is excellent. The weather cooperated. People watching from on high was fun, and the nature scenery was nice. Service was a little slow, but not an imposition, however, if it gets much busier, that could be a thing. We later learned they previously had a $10 cover, but we did not get asked for this and it must be a thing of the past, or I understand it is waived for guests of the Edwin Hotel (the bar's affiliated with the Edwin) but we had dinner reservations at Whitebird, the affiliated restaurant. The charcuterie was good with cheeses, cured meats, jams, crackers, etc. all in all, the star is the Al fresco seating and the River, and of course the company of my beautiful wife! So, go for outdoor seating and bring your own beau!

Looks the part of an old style bar with well-worn wooden bar. Bartenders were friendly & attentive. I decided to try The Social Sour, which is basically a New York sour - a whiskey sour with a red wine float. It looks great & tasted great too but I wasn't absolutely sure it was actually red wine on top. In any case try that or the barkeep's old fashioned.

Wow! I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews stating how the bartenders are so…read morefriendly and accommodating. Sadly, as an individual customer, that was not my experience on a Thursday night. I arrived a little before 7pm and I was warmly greeted by Drew. I told her I was excited to dine here, specifically in the bar, based on reviewers comments. Her friendliness and positive attitude assured me I made the right decision. However, the bar area was not as inviting or welcoming as the evening progressed. My bartender was cordial and asked if I wanted a cocktail. I asked if this place makes a good Cosmopolitan. He said "Do you like it tart or sweet?" (Never been asked that before, but I appreciated the question.) I said "tart" and he made me the BEST Cosmopolitan I've had in a while! It was served half in a glass and the rest in a small decanter surrounded in a glass of ice. Great presentation and even better drink! Just a touch of pink and nice and strong. 5 star start! Then, it went downhill. I ordered the Wedge Salad ($9) and the Seared Scallops ($18), both under the "Starters, Small Plates" section. Both were very good, with excellent presentation. I should have realized the "Small Plates" would only provide a few scallops (3), but they were very well prepared and quite good. After I ordered and the food was provided, little customer service was given thereafter. I had to ask for water refills twice. (When I finally asked for my check, I got a refill without asking.) During this time, only one other customer was in the bar. The two bartenders were talking to another employee about a streaming finale one recently watched. Eventually, the second bartender came onto my side and I asked if I could order one more item from him since my bartender never came back. (The first bartender was Josh, which I discovered when I got the bill receipt.) The other bartender took my order for the Pot Roast Nachos (as I still somewhat hungry) and the Nachos were absolutely fantastic, just like the reviews recommended. At 8pm, I left as I was the only patron left in the bar (I wonder why?) and they were cleaning up even though closing was still an hour away. The bill for two cocktails and the food mentioned above came to $77. Then, $13 was added for Tennessee state/county tax and also liquor/wine tax!!! Was my meal and service worth $100, not really. As I left, I saw the personable Drew and she asked me how the evening went. I explained and she apologized that it did not meet my expectations. I said I just think I came on an off night. However, maybe she should tell management that if only one customer is left at the bar, you should treat them with the attention and respect as anyone who came in earlier. I don't feel I received the service I deserved for the price I paid so sadly, I can only provide a review based on this one time experience.
