    Cobwebs were everywhere
    Cindi W.

Came for burger week but we have been before just for drinks. 1st off, the restaurant is dirty. There are cobwebs everywhere, and the windows and doors weren't clean, even though they just opened 15 minutes before we arrived. 2nd our waitress was anything but friendly. 3rd when we ordered drinks I guess they charge for ice! 4th the food, it's burger week so it's just a burger but it's not good. We had 7 people at our table and all were the burger week burgers but not all of them looked the same. Some patties were much bigger and onion rings were not the same size, some had huge and some had hardly any. It took awhile to flag a waiter/waitress down to get silverware and napkins. Also took some time to order another drink, this time with no $2 ice lol. When I asked for more water she brought over a pitcher and told me I can do it myself. The one pitcher didn't fill all our waters so I went to the bar, cuz the waitress couldn't be found, and asked if we could have more or if I had to fill it myself. This is when we FINALLY had a waitress that was attentive and she said she will get it for me. We are locals and used to love bringing friends and family who visit there but this was our last time. Will be going to The Iris instead.

Cool place for drinks and good with an amazing view of the bridge and river. Liked the vibe this place put off and the staff were good to deal with.

Located inside hotel in downtown location but open to the public. Rooftop great for drinks and appetizers after work, date, girl time, or before going out. Great drinks and beautiful views. Nice flight options. Great service.

I've never been here before, but the girls and I had such a wonderful time. When we walked inside they told us that we can sit anywhere that's open. We arrived right after sunset and secured a table outside on the balcony. The views were so beautiful, the walking bridge was lit up and we had a nice view of the Chattanooga River. We all ordered drinks and they were very delicious. Our server was great, she was knowledgeable and tended to us often. We had other people check up on us often and made sure we were content. We also ordered food as well and I loved everything we ordered. We had the Garlic Parmesan Fries, Heirloom Tomato Burrata, and the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. The Garlic Parmesan Fries were so crispy and delicious. We ended up ordering another for the table because they were gone quick. The Roasted Red Pepper Hummus was creamy, flavorful, and I loved all the options like cucumber, carrots, and naan that we could dip into the hummus with. There was a nice assortment of veggies. We didn't know what to expect with the Burrata but we were so pleasantly surprised. It was savory, the burrata was very light and smooth. All the sides we ordered were savory and at the perfect level. Food presentation was very nice too. I got a virgin mojito and loved my drink. It was delicious and refreshing. All in all, we had such a memorable time. We loved the food, ambiance, the views, everything. I highly recommend this place.

This place is a vibe. Nice rooftop with a view of the pedestrian bridge and Chattanooga river. Lots of space and room on the inside and out. They have a vast drink menu. This is a good date place or just a good night cap.

    Flight and special drink.

Taylor was an amazing bartender I wanted a flight of white and brought out a tour of Europe one from Spain, Italy, France. They were amazing!! Then made a specialty drink with cucumber and mint and it was amazing!!

Great place for a night cap. Loved the whole aesthetic of this hotel which reminds me of the Luminary in fort Myers. Loved the view of the river! I had some espresso martinis at the bar with my friend Great cool bartenders! Can't wait to return and try their whiskey

So whiskey thief is one of the best views you're going to find in a rooftop bar situation here. I think so at least. It has a good view of some of the city line and the water. If you look inside as you walk through the corridor to get to the bar, it is very eccentric and there's a lot of artwork and other things that are super creative. Each of the rooms that you pass, has its own little flair to it. The bar itself is dark and color but at the same time it's light and lit up because there's nothing but sunlight coming in. It's dark but it's open if that makes any sense. You have a lot of different areas to sit, you can sit by the main bar, or they have other couches around on the inside You can sit at as well. If you sit outside, that's also an option, and I would actually suggest that because it end of the day, you're there for drinks and views. Depending on what day you go you can do some live music as well so I would definitely suggest that. I've been to Chattanooga a couple times and this has been this thing that I've been to consistently.

    So cool

Whiskey Thief has the views and the vibes!! I loved everything about my visit here. The staff was great and super attentive. I wasn't necessarily in the mood for whiskey on my visit. However, I did have a nice glass of Cabernet and then some mixed cocktail , that I didn't love but it was cool. The whiskey thief is a beautiful establishment. It reminded me of a a large den where you can have a bite to eat and enjoy a few cocktails comfortably. Nice lighting to set the tone for the evening. The rooftop seating is prime! It was packed on my visit but I was able to locate a seat and enjoy the beautiful views, right at sunset. I recommend Whiskey Thief. Located inside the Edwin hotel on the 5th floor!

This place is def back above board now! Ambiance - That mesmerizing view of the Walnut St Bridge and river is still there, takin in from a cozy table spot right outside the dining doors. Service - My dear friend and I met informative and nice wait staff while catchin up over some a flight or two last month. Food - Better than ever! The biggest tastiest bowl of specialty fries I've ever experienced. And the sliders are more like small burgers - so much delicious flavor upon flavor in those. Thank you Whiskey Thief for stealing my senses and taste buds again.

Had high expectations of Whiskey Thief after reading reviews and looked forward to my visit there as a hotel guest. Gorgeously inviting decor leading to the rooftop lounge then to walk into a hot mess and a bit of a mayhem. I really wanted a table outside but was not sure if I could seat myself so went back in and saw the front desk guy hanging out by the bar, and he confirmed I could seat myself wherever I'd like. Went back out to sit at a table that was not yet cleaned then got elbowed and shoved by a girl who said she saw the table first. Staff watched and acted like nothing happened. Went back inside and sat at a high top scanning the menu. 20 minutes of no greeting or service later, I moved to a bar top. Bartender was great and noted they were extremely understaffed and slammed on a Tuesday as if it were a Saturday presumably due to Burger Week. Not Your Mother's Paloma with Jalapeño-Cucumber Infused Vodka had a serious kick and was delicious. Ordered the Burger Week special, which was a great deal at only $7 (plus $5 for fries). Shortly after, every guest started hitting up the bartenders to order food and drinks as their servers had not been to tables in forever. Then we heard the announcement kitchen decided to stop serving food for at least the next hour if not for rest the night as they could not keep up. Bartender reassured our food was coming to those of us seated at the bar. My burger looked great; I asked for ketchup and ranch then felt so bad for the bartender as no one from their staff would run to the back to get it for her. Took 15 minutes. The gentleman next to me asked for a napkin and silverware when his food arrived; they were completely out and he had to resort to paper cocktail napkins. The manager was standing there and didn't offer to run to the back to grab what was needed for guests. I'd have loved to stay for more drinks and enjoy the views from the rooftop patio if it weren't for utter chaos. Bartenders were doing their absolute best to keep on going and I wished they had some backup support from other hotel staff. And if you see a guest shoving another over a table, please do something next time.

So, it's burger week here in Scenic City, so the focus all week long will be BURGERS! WT may be the very best location here in Chattanooga, the views are beyond belief. While I've frequented the bar, and it is so very true to its' name, I've never eaten here. This was a great spot to start this weeks' event. The burger was spectacular and the signature drinks, with this view and the great service have put the participants that will follow in a disadvantaged position. This week will be fun folks, stay tuned for my pick for the winning location this week.

I highly recommend the "Bartender's Choice" cocktail option--the staff is incredibly skilled, and the drinks they crafted were awesome. However, management needs to fix their highly deceptive checkout flow. The bar chooses not to bake Tennessee's mandatory 15% Liquor-by-the-Drink tax into their menu prices. When the bartender flips the POS tablet to pay, the system completely hides the itemized receipt. It jumps straight to a final total that includes a combined 24.25% in state and liquor taxes. To make matters worse, the screen presents ridiculous suggested tip options of 20%, 30%, and 40%--which are calculated on top of that heavily taxed final total rather than the subtotal. If you just tap a prompt, you end up aggressively tipping on hidden taxes. Come for the excellent cocktails and great bartenders, but ignore the suggested buttons and manually calculate your tip based on the actual menu price of your drinks.

This restaurant is located in the Chatanooga Choo Choo train station building. The entrance is in the front, altough you might be able to enter from inside the station. I have been in the area numerous times and this is the first time I had dinner in this area. This was a late dinner, so we focused on sharing a few plates over a full meal. I did not write down the type of oysters on the menu that day, but got one of each of the rotating oysters. The poke was the star. Very nicely prepared with a wide variety of vegetables to complement the fish and rice. The kale was my least favorite, but the way they prepared it added to the poke. After trying different things individually, we mixed it into the biggest mess. She had the elderflower sour, which was a nice blend of sweet and sour, with cucumbers to offset some of the sweet. I usually get a old fashioned, but decided to get the Road Less Traveled, which was similar to my norm, but with a blackberry twist. I would definitely visit again, given the chance. Solid restaurant.
