I randomly discovered this hotel bar late one night as I was walking along in downtown Chattanooga and noticed their sign. On walking in I discovered this was quite an interesting and eclectic spot for an adult beverage. They do have a very interesting selection of beverages and the patrons were even more interesting than the beverages. You get excellent service here along with the fantastic ambiance. This is a very unique and fascinating spot in Chattanooga to investigate as part of your adventures in the downtown area. Overall it is certainly one of the more unique places I have visited in the Chattanooga area. read more

First the atmosphere here is 5 stars. A bit of swank and old school vibe. Nice. Service was pretty good. Came here for some vegan food and cocktails. The drinks were interesting and had a good time sampling a few different ones. We had the roasted cauliflower and this was amazing. I am not sure if the mash it was on was totally vegan, it was creamy with sun dried tomatoes in it. We also had the fallafel sandwich which was a total hit. Then we had the kale and cashew dish... and understand, I am not a kale fan. It was still okay, but I would not order it again, not fault of their's. I guess I was hoping they would make kale taste like something not kale. :) We will be back. Nice place to chill. read more

Love, Love, Loved this spot!!!! This little bar sits inside of the Dwell Hotel. Once inside it was a trendy but old time feel to it. We sat at the bar and Monica was our bartender. She was very informative on the different drinks they had on the menu. I had the Summer Sanctuary it taste like a spiked spritzer..... sooooo good and strong, but you couldn't really taste the liquor. One of those drinks that sneak up on you. The ice cube in the drink had a flower inside of it. The drink was very simple but pretty. I ordered some fries and potato chips, cause I wanted a lite bite while having a drink. The french fries came with a garlic aioli and ketchup. The garlic aioli was genius for dipping, I don't think I used the ketchup at all, the aioli was so good. The chips was good too nice kettle chip, very fresh and crispy. The atmosphere, the customer service, and the drinks will definitely keep me coming back. read more

My husband and I really love this spot to stop in for a cocktail. It's special and a little nicer than other bars in area. They have interesting small plates as well, but haven't tried yet. Their cocktail menu has something for every palate and they are skillfully crafted and Instagram worthy presentation. The atmosphere of this place is beautiful and eclectic. Random couches and chairs strewn throughout the bar is very cozy and intimate feeling. If you have a large group I would pick somewhere else. The drinks are cute but really overpriced for the amount of alcohol in them. (The "ice bound fruit" took up over half of the drink) The service felt like we were bothering them by not making decisions fast enough and asking questions. Our server was abrupt and impatient and again acted like we were bothering her. The bar is cute with the star twinkling ceiling, but I won't be back. If I enter inside the Dwell Hotel again I will try Terra Mae because when we were over there originally the service was MUCH better. read more

Best burger I've had in Chattanooga TN. I stopped in for a drink on our long walk home having just left Taco Mamacita. I wasn't hungry at all but wanted to check this place out. I had heard of their Jasmine rice marinated overnight in coconut milk and wanted to taste this but they had taken off the menu I was told. So, I asked for what was a popular menu item? The Midnight Burger I was told. So I just said bring me one out please. From first bite it was phenomenal! I can't compare this to any other burger because it is seriously different. Came here on a Saturday night before a show at the Tivoli. This is a small intimate place, so best for maximum 4 people in a group. I ordered the Tiptoe Through the Tulips from the bartender's recommendation which was good (maybe not quite $13 good). My friend got the zodiac which had little too much going on for her. We decided to split the barley stuffed pepper, crusted cauliflower, and crispy duck eggrolls. All of these were delicious, but I think the stuffed pepper was my favorite. I really enjoyed this small, quirky little bar. It's located inside the Dwell Hotel. The atmosphere and mood they create with lighting and décor is fantastic! It's very retro chic. The place is very small. You come to a sitting room first with a couch and a couple chairs. That room also has 2 small tables with a handful of chairs. Through this room you come to the bar area which has a few tables and chairs scattered around a bar that sits about 8-10 people. The tap list is very small, only 2-3 taps if I recall correctly, but they had Ballast Point Sculpin on tap so I was very happy. The bottle list is much larger. However, the bread and butter here are the cocktails. I got to try a sip of several different ones from people in my party and none of them disappointed. The cherry on top of all of this were both bartenders were extremely courteous and efficient despite a packed house. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cocktail and I'll be back myself. read more

I decided to come and try them during happy hour. The ambiance was intoxicating and the lighting enchanting, perfect for a first date. Loved the modern decorations and the art pieces were hypnotic. I started with the happy hour special house blend white wine. The wine was served chilled but keep in mind that it was on the small size at about a 4 oz pour. It was quite refreshing and pretty well balanced truthfully for the price it was a good deal but FYI it is on the sweet side which is not my preference at all. The staff more specifically Monica was a delight to chat with, she was very much ready to serve you and provide you with a very elegant and happy expirence. I decided to order the rice cakes from the tappas menu. The coconut curry jasmine rice cakes were deliciously and elegant. Beautifully presented with a side of pickled cabbage slaw and aiole reduction. The cakes were delicious mild and balanced very well seasoned and when paired with the sides it was perfection and not to spicy just right. However, keep in mind that the place is more uoscalr than not and also very small so space is limited and if you wish for privacy then get here early. I had all of the above and my bill was only $12.00. You cannot beat this. read more

I stopped in for lunch the other day. The menu is a bit pricey for lunch but I wanted to check it out. I had the Cuban sandwich which was $12. it took a while for it to show up. More so considering I was the only one there. But, it was very good. One of the best Cuban sandwiches I've had. I'd think $10 would be the price point without a side. Still, I'll be back. The atmosphere was a posh, eclectic mix of modern and art deco (That's just my take, not necessarily what it is). I'll have to go back at night to see how it is. I love a good cocktail bar and in that regard I want a place like this to succeed in Chattanooga, but it's a bit of a stretch to justify more than a drink or two given the prices. I expect to pay $13 for a cocktail in NYC, SF, or even ATL, but that's steep in Chattanooga. I had the Mezcal cocktail on the menu and it just wasn't very balanced. The campari was overpowering and outshined the rest of the cocktail. My wife made a similar remark about her cocktail, but I can't remember which one she had. The service was a bit slow but the bartenders were very pleasant. The atmosphere is great and this would be a fun spot to go out with a small group, but a group beyond 4-5 people would be tough to accommodate. read more

Close to the WORST customer service I've ever received. My hotel recommended this place for a cocktail. I go in, sit at the bar for about 5 minutes. NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED. I go to the restroom and come out. The girl behind the bar is still talking to a gentlemen about her upcoming 30th birthday.... still ZERO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. 2 mins later another bartender comes in and says "something I can get for you?" I asked to speak to someone. They asked me what the issue was.
