After walking through gravel and returning, we entered, paid, once I sat down, the security came to mention that my other friend needed to return her handbag. The signage should be clear for ALL patrons and not discretion. The dimensions of the purse did not equate to large or big. I looked across the room and saw a purse (same size) sitting on a counter that someone else had. I was baffled that security saw us, allowed us to enter and pay. The communication with the owner was poor. No eye contact and seem as if he did not want to be bothered and sadly we were told he wasn't there. Tip: Provide clear communication to ALL staff and on signage to clearly specify the dimensions of handbags that are not permitted and be sure that your staff is informed, instead of picking who you want to select, because there's difference in a large tote, small handbag, clutch or wristlet.

Well, now you can! The idea is a cocktail bar. Pretty simple, right? And that's just it, that's all it is. No tricks, no whistles, no $16 cocktails with some weird Japanese spirit that you don't know anything about. You want a good cocktail by seasoned bartenders, well, then there ya go. Oh, and they dress them up! Umbrellas! Fun straws! Even little plastic pterodactyls. Yeah, I don't know what it means either, but it's fun and much better than staying at home watching America's Funniest Home Videos and eating your sad pasta. It's a very intimate space, enough for about 20 people. The idea is reminiscent of a tiki lounge; macramé adorns the walls, the daiquiris are served in big parrot-styled cups, there's a sound system playing club music. Despite clearly being short staffed and having a busy night - we were greeted almost immediately and encouraged to help ourselves to a seat. We sat at a table away from the bar (only one available) and a server came by to take our drink order. Before he could return, another employee - who was running food to another table - immediately came over to us after to see if we wanted to order food (which we did!). She took our order, then the drinks arrived and before we knew it the food was out and was incredible! The menu is quite limited - and even more so when you one of you doesn't eat meat - and yet we were able to make a meal out of 2 caesar salads, the hummus plate and the deviled eggs. I highly recommend the "Bartender's Choice" cocktail option--the staff is incredibly skilled, and the drinks they crafted were awesome. ​However, management needs to fix their highly deceptive checkout flow. The bar chooses not to bake Tennessee's mandatory 15% Liquor-by-the-Drink tax into their menu prices. When the bartender flips the POS tablet to pay, the system completely hides the itemized receipt. It jumps straight to a final total that includes a combined 24.25% in state and liquor taxes. ​To make matters worse, the screen presents ridiculous suggested tip options of 20%, 30%, and 40%--which are calculated on top of that heavily taxed final total rather than the subtotal. If you just tap a prompt, you end up aggressively tipping on hidden taxes. ​Come for the excellent cocktails and great bartenders, but ignore the suggested buttons and manually calculate your tip based on the actual menu price of your drinks.
