So there is a little bit of everything here. You have food you have games You have drink you have everything under the sun you can want. This is my first time going and this spot is really fun I would definitely consider going again. They didn't going for a work trip, and was surprise at this was sitting here in the middle of the parking lot. They have outdoor and indoor. They have upstairs and downstairs. There's plenty of games aside from bowling but bowling I guess is the star of the show. But they have a lot of other games aside from that that are giving planning to do. It's very wide and spacious and you really have room to move around versus being cramped up somewhere. I only interact with the bartenders upstairs that they were super cool and making sure our event went off well. They were Johnny on the spot when it came to make sure we had our pictures of drink full and make sure the food came on time. They did a really great job! What a nice day outside You can sit outside and drink some beer or grab a cocktail side to play cornhole or whatever your heart's desire. Upstairs is the pool tables and a number of other things as well as a bar. Downstairs is of course a bar and give or take about 10 bowling lanes. Now the food was pretty good... but I realize that this may not have been the standard food menu. Only because we rented out space and they had a whole other buffet in mind for us. My friend and I limped in here after running the Chattanooga Marathon. It wasn't too busy for noon on a Sunday but after the marathon events it really started to pick up. They have an indoor bowling alley with some games in the patio area as well. I really loved the vibe of the place. It was cozy with a backyard bbq/dive bar feel and wholesome. The food really hit the spot, the tator tots were my favorite and my friends nachos were LOADED. There was a large party upstairs so the services was slightly delayed but it was expected. I've been to this place several times and it was always pretty decent. This last time was not acceptable. The service was absolutely non existent, they made me the wrong drink but would not bring a new one or apologize. Had to pay for it anyways. The food quality was worse than I've ever seen here and 2 of us actually got food poisoning from the shrimp. It was 4 of us dining in, 3 of us ate. They included a 20% tip and then asked for additional tip. I do not like being forced to tip well when the service and food was crap. We will not be back. read more

Came here on a Sunday night for some drinks, dinner, & bowling. It wasn't too busy so we got a lane quickly. I liked the setup and found the couches and table to be decent for our party of 4. Our table wasn't cleaned and a bit dirty from the party prior. Service took quite a while to come to our lane. We were halfway through our game before a server came, and that was after going up to the bar to ask about getting food and drinks. My margarita was heavy on the sour mix and a bit too sweet. First time here. Husband and I wanted a place to play pool. The music was really loud, even for a bar. Lots of families playing outside and inside. The two servers i interacted with were really nice. The menu was limited and had bar food type items on it like pizza and wings. They did offer a few brunch items as well. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was about a 3/10. Greasy and just not good at all. The worst part was the place was dirty. Table was dirty and not wiped down and the bathrooms were disgusting. We did play pool. It was 6 bucks an hour. The atmosphere is great. They have lots of fun things go to, especially for kids. Drinks are great. Our server lacked a LOT in the attention department but let's talk about the food. My daughter got the nachos with ground beef added. They were terrible. Taste was not there and the whole plate sucked. I got the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Don't get this sandwich. It is not fit to feed to your dog. The pork was wet and soggy like it's been sitting in water. No flavor and just over all terrible. They squirt like 3 lines of bbq sauce on the top. I had to ask for more sauce and that didn't help it at all. I never finished it and the server never even asked if it was ok. Just took it away and charged me for it. So: our food was terrible. My first time at Southside Social. We came to bowl but my happiness was hampered by toddlers running around on the bowling deck with strollers, climbing all over the sofas next to us. The to top it off my bowl wouldn't return 4x in two games. I pressed the help button each time except that last time. No one ever came to help return the ball. I will admit it's not a bowling alley but someone should be assigned to the lanes. So I wasn't happy about the stresses of trying to bowl a good game... yep I'm competitive even with myself. Also most of the bowls all seemed to have the finger placements very far apart and/or super small finger holes. I did like the fact that they had a bowl to bowl curb ball with though. Again the holes were quite small. IT WAS QUITE AGGRAVATING AND ANNOYING to say the least. I don't think I'll be back on Sunday afternoon but was just looking for something to do that I haven't done in Chattanooga. We stopped our one hour bowling experience early just to leave. With multiple televisions this is a good spot to watch sports. We came on a Sunday and football was on every screen. They also have bowling lanes with shoe rental, pool tables, corn hole and darts. Outside patios are dog friendly and plenty of inside space. People of all ages come here to eat and play. There is also a dance floor and live music most of the time. My favorite performers were there today and I enjoyed listening to them while others sang and danced. Please remember to tip them. Big bar area serving pretty strong drinks. Server Lejla took our order, and was only seen when delivering food, did not get my order correct and acted like I did not order my entree when asking her what she had down as my order. Server was nowhere to to found until our party was finished and didn't seem to care my order wasn't correct. We were charged gratuity as we had a party or ten. I was charged $14 plus tax and gratuity for a Ceasars salad and fries, I had ordered the pulled pork which was suppose to be $14 or $16 with these two sides included!..... would not recommend, terrible service, won't be back. We went for my son's 16th birthday. I can't believe they sent this pizza out to us. The wings are always good. The macaroni bites were a hit. The cocktails...well I would recommend sticking to beer and shots. My wife's Bellini looked like a flute of straight apple cider, and that's not a Bellini. She's ordered them many times before and they look and taste like a Bellini, but not this day. My drinks were just sour. Beer and shots from there on out. The service was slow, but it's slow everywhere. He was friendly. The live music was nice, and he sang happy birthday to my son. This place is fun for the kids, and it's not Dave and Busters. We love to come to this place for the games, atmosphere, and bar food. We like that there isn't just bowling, but so many other games that we can play such as ping pong, pool, skeeball, darts etc. We only have ever ordered the apps, not much of the entrees, but we love the apps. We stopped by at 11am on a Saturday. First people in the door. We had light food (chips and salsa and some tacos). The chicken tacos were actually quite good. The chips and salsa were...eh, chips and salsa. We decided to stick around and bowl since it was about 100 degrees outside before noon. You pay about $18/hour/lane plus shoe rental. There were just two of us and we actually were able to play 3 games within one hour. Not bad. We could not believe how empty the place was but I guess that was good for us, bad for the business. I will say that we had a very good server who followed us as our server from our table in the restaurant area to our server at the bowling lane. I've been going to south side on Thursday nights mainly when I'm in college up in Chattanooga. Always a positive vibe and always allows me to meet new people that I have never met before in my life! The music, however I believe need some consistency. It's almost the same music like almost every week. So I think a little change of music goes along way all genres instead of just focusing on hip-hop and country. In terms of people working here, I would argue that the bartenders are very kind, but can be under a lot of pressure, especially at night given the high volume of people coming in. As far as security goes. They obviously have a very challenging task so I understand how people can talk crap about them. But my experiences with them have not been problematic what's over except for one time which is when they must mistook drink for something alcoholic, when it was actually sparkling soda water ( under 21 at the time) otherwise, I will come back every Thursday as much as I can. It's always a fun experience to hang out with new people girls especially! read more

This is a cool place with a lot of fun activities unfortunately the wait staff is TERRIBLE. We bowled for an hour and had to literally flag down a waitress to order a drink. After ordering our drink we never saw her again. Thankfully for this establishment I have integrity because I literally had to talk to FOUR different people just to pay my bill! I can't imagine how much money this place is losing from people walking out on their bill. Additionally, we had one frame left on our bowling game with only 3 lanes being used and they would not allow us to finish our game without paying an extra $10. Had an absolute horrible experience today(9/9) at your establishment. We were sat at approximately 4:50 pm by a blonde hostess who took us upstairs to a 4 top table, for our party of 5. She got another chair and dropped it on the dropped and didn't bother to even pick it up, and walked off. We sat for 15+ minutes without ever being greeted by a server. We had a guy go ask about our server and the same hostess said "they need to be patient, they can wait." I know this because I am hearing impaired and read lips quite well. While quailing we witnessed this same hostess vaping at the stand and talking on her cell phone. We finally go up and left at 5:20 pm without ever being greeted. I was very hesitant to come to this restaurant because of the mixed reviews. However, I was looking for a place that had a nice outdoor/patio sitting area and the fact they offer even more than just sitting made me just go ahead and try it. Service has been pretty good (I mean, with staff shortage you really can't expect much, so service is slow but decent) We sat in the upstairs patio, weather has been great and it was a pretty cool experience. We also walked around and they offer a great amount of games so you can enjoy with your significant other or group. Food was excellent! everything we ordered was perfect! temperature was on point, texture, combination of flavors, it came out quick as well. Prices are very fair and the food quantity is very generous. (Please order some tater tots!) We also enjoyed a few hours of bowling, it was an easy process - Tip: size down for shoes they run pretty big - Our waitress continued to bring us drinks or anything we needed to the bowling area. We were also able to go get some drinks directly from the bar when needed. Since it was a pretty good experience, we have been back a couple of times and we really enjoy the patio they have, we played cornhole, darts, more bowling, food is always good, drinks are always strong. We brought our friends that came to visit from another country, other friends and their kids from out of town and Southside Social does not disappoint! Also, if you want to bring your kids do so during the day, this is an adult only place to drink, hang out and be loud at night. They are also open late which is good. We visited with a large group from a car rally that was visiting Chattanooga on one of our stops. While seating inside was very limited we filled in the outside patio area and made it work. Bartenders were attentive, very accommodating, and had hustled to get out drinks and food out in a timely manner. We had the brisket platter (soooo good! nice blend of meat and fat), the Gandalf pizza (delicious!), and brisket nachos (huge serving and a great blend of all ingredients). Drink specials were tasty, but the margaritas tasted like they had bitters in them - not horrible, just not what we are used to. All in all a great dinner and atmosphere. I wish I could give 6 stars. As soon as we walked even close to the seating area we were greeted by a very nice waitress. We got out seats and water was brought out right away (even water for our dog we had with us)! Our waitress, Luna, was just so bubbly and friendly & that just instantly put me in a great mood to be there. She told us the special of the friend pickles & I wish they were on the menu everyday because they were hands down the best fried pickles I've ever eaten (& I've eaten a lot of fried pickles) The food and our drinks were great & fresh.
