Yummy! It's taco week in Chattanooga and this was so worth the trip! We tried the feature taco, buffalo chicken. It had chicken, lettuce, ranch, and a spicy sweet sauce. Absolutely delicious!!! The chicken was so moist and all the flavors blended together well. I also had a side salad which was wonderful. The service was outstanding! Every one on one team working together to insure that you have a great experience. And the interior is out of this world!! HiFi Clydes is part of the Monen Group, a local family that owns several restaurants in the Chattanooga area. This is probably as close as they have to a sports bar atmosphere given the number of tv's and of course the ping pong table. When the weather is good, they have the ability to open up the back of the restaurant to their outside eating area, which is great. When the weather is uncooperative and the outside closed off, I find HFC to be a bit dark, with the motif maybe a bit dated. There's a full bar, with a very good beer selection. The service is always good, a characteristic of all the Monen restaurants. As to the food, there's a broad enough selection to satisfy anyone in your family. While the Philly brisket sandwich I had was just okay and I'm still trying to figure out the buffalo cucumber salad, the nachos and chicken wings were really good. read more

It's a small chain out of Nashville I believe, but the food is good quality And our server was spot on. I would qualify the decor as arcade meets lounge meets saloon! It has a good vibe, plenty of seating and plenty of parking in a lot next door. Parking is super tight around the restaurant property, but there is parking on the street and walkable parking as well! I really like their burgers. My only complaint is that I don't like the lettuce they use, but hey, I just took it off and I was super happy. read more

We stopped in Clyde's after having a really terrible experience at the restaurant across the street. The waitstaff were fun and friendly and even though they seemed short staffed, they did a good job of keeping up with our orders. The food was decent. I shared the brisket nachos with another person in my group. The chips were kind of floury or something. And, there honestly wasn't much brisket on the nachos. Another person in our group had the fried shrimp. She indicated it was good. The remaining two had salads and said they were "fine". The place had an interesting vibe with booth seating as well as seating in couches and at the bar. I'd probably try a burger if I chose to go back to eat. I would definitely go back there to knock back a couple of drinks and watch the game. read more

The atmosphere has a cool vibe, however the food isn't all that great. The wings we had the maple hot and Alabama white. Neither were very good. Maybe just go with the plain. The buffalo nachos were very sweet and not very good just chicken and ranch. Service well nothing special there either. Maybe a cool bar just a bad restaurant. Yes, yes, and yes. We went as a group and even with as many people as we had the bartenders down to the servers were all kind and prompt. The drinks here are top tier. I had the painkiller and the hunch punch which are not weak. Now to the food- those smoked wings are delicious. Sometimes people have them cooked to dry but these were juicy and flavorful even without sauce. I went with a chicken sandwich to get the carbs going with the drinks and I cleared the plate. To say our server was new, she got everything right and everyone seemed pretty happy with their meals. Would recommend. Could also see this being a great place to catch a game. read more

Great place to watch a football game with friends! For my first visit here, I was meeting up w/ friends to watch a football game. It took quite some time for the staff to turn on the game, which was surprising given that most everyone was there to watch the game, but they turned it on right when it was starting. They have a lot of drink options and a pretty stacked menu full of your typical bar food. I got a fried chicken salad, which was pretty good, and I also enjoyed their free popcorn. HiFi Clydes was suggested to us by a friend as his go to place in Chattanooga. My wife and I were not disappointed! The staff are all very friendly and very attentive! We started off with the Buffalo shrimp. They are large shrimp that is served with carrots and celery. Very good. My wife had the Torta Mamacita and she was really liked the sandwich. It is a large portion. She paid the extra $1 for the fries. Overall she was happy with her decision. I had the smoked chicken chili nachos with both red and green salsas. This was on the appetizers. Slide into this dive bar looking establishment that is like a tardis, much larger on the inside, cool vibes and delicious food, even near closing time. This is an interesting restaurant. The decor is not what you would expect. Sofas with coffee tables as "booths" as well as U shaped booths and high top tables through the restaurant. Our server was friendly and attentive. We started with the BBQ Potato Skins. They were excellent. My husband had the Smoked brisket nachos. While they were very tasty, they were less than generous with the entire dish. A thin layer of nachos and not much meat. Tasty? Yep. Filling? It fell short of that. I had the SXSW Brisket sandwich, minus the pickled red onion, guac, and pico. I added some spicy bbq sauce and it was very tasty. This being our first time, I would definitely give it another go. While it's in the family of Community Pie and Urban stack, I feel those two beat out this restaurant. However, this restaurant easily beats out another in the family: Taco Mamacita. We went to Feed (across the street) only to be told it would be an hour and a half wait so we came over to HiFi Clyde's and it was a 20 min. wait. Hunter was our waiter and was friendly. My son couldn't find chicken fingers on the menu so Hunter said he would get them to chop up their fried chicken and make chicken bites for him. That was very thoughtful of them to do that! My husband had the Clyde's cheeseburger and I had the pork plate. My children had the cheeseburger and my son had the fried chicken cut up. Very delicious!!! I highly recommend the pork plate!!
