I've been to Jonathan's a few times with friends and have always had a good meal. Every time I've been there the place is packed with a huge line. It is kind of loud and the ambiance is pretty casual and laid back. My friend and I were tired from work but immediately got seats at the bar. Service was a bit slow, understandably, but we were taken care of in a timely manner considering the number of people there were to wait on. I ordered garlic parmesan wings and my friend ordered bam bam tacos. The food came out quickly for how busy it was. Usually in a busy restaurant you can wait 45-60 minutes for food. We had ours in less than 15 and it was hot and fresh. My wings were delicious. We didn't buy alcohol but the servers were attentive and made sure we had refills, and even asked if we wanted to-go cups. Our main server was fantastic! I wish I knew her name. I definitely recommend this restaurant. A couple of more things. They do have a patio area that is dog friendly. Parking can be a pain because it's busy, and right between a hotel and other restaurants so you might have to search for a space. read more

Why....WHY... in the hell would someone be allowed to lock the front door of the restaurant DURING WORKING HOURS!?!?!? First of all FIRE HAZARD. Secondly, myself and my wife, along with 3 other people tried to get in and couldn't. So we left. I don't care if people want to go home as fast as they can, locking the front door isn't going to let you get off of work faster. Stop concentrating on getting off of work and concentrate on better customer service. A damn sign would have been nice. And management can stop being cheap and hire some more people for night shift. read more

This was a yelp find while on vacation. We make a packed not to eat chains while traveling. This place was close to the hotel and the 4 red stars got us. The service was awesome. The food was delicious and the portions unbelievable. Definitely a must try. If we stay in the Chattanooga area we will be back. read more

The wife ordered the "hang over burger" which was over cooked to the point of being a hockey puck, I order the bison burger which was also way overcooked. The fries were cold and greasy. I had a nice dinner at Jonathan's awhile back. I'd visited the location in Murfreesboro, so had a pretty good feel for the menu. On this day, I chose the Firecracker Salmon bowl, and it was delicious. My friend had the Larry Bird chicken sandwich and said it was also good. Service was a little spotty on drink refills, but overall we had a good experience. This restaurant is a nice addition to the growing East Ridge area and is super close to Top Golf and the Bass Pro Shop if you're visiting those. read more

Service was great!!!! We had a party of 20 for my little sister birthday. We had a reservation but was very late and they were busy but they still got us seated in a timely matter. Food came out quick , they even stored her cake in the cooler and our server was amazing. I wish I would have got his name he made the experience a 10/10. The only bad thing I can say is the kids did not like the wings at all but they exchanged them out with no problem so it made up for that. We stopped in during lunch on our way to GA. Very nice looking restaurant from the outside and it reminded us of a nice sports bar on the inside. We were seated quickly and our server came right over. We decided to split the JG Chicken Club Wrap (2nd one down under sandwiches). It sounded interesting since it had pineapple on it too. The tea was freshly brewed and just right. Our food came out quickly and was DELICIOUS! We will definitely stop here again the next time we're in the area around meal time. read more

Sat at the bar with a couple of friends. The drink was fine & the atmosphere was good. However, they added a "hospitality" fee to my bill. I asked 3 different employees what it was for & got 3 different answers. I was told it goes to the kitchen employees, but I didn't order any food. I was also told it helps pay for the people in the back while keeping prices low. That confused me - you increased my price so that you can keep prices low? Our server was the best part of our visit. The club was pretty good and filling, house chips were just ok. The fried cauliflower was really good. The "pepperoni rolls" were more like a calzone, and my husband said it was awful and he wished we had gone to Costco for hot dogs instead. Also when we arrived there were tons of open tables but they sat us at a table in the walkway from the bathrooms and kitchen, right next to the drink station, so everyone had to squeeze past our table to get through. And then when we got the check and were paying cash, they still charged a 3.2% "hospitality fee". We definitely do not recommend this restaurant, and the note on their website saying they were voted in CNNs top 100 should not be a reason to visit. read more

As I sit here at this restaurant I can say it's the 2nd worst place I've eaten at in a whole year for service. Happy hour is anything but happy. Waitress is a waste of an employee when you could possibly find an employee who gives a shit. She doesn't. Has spent most of her time sitting laying on her phone while we wait for drinks and our order taken. At 3:55 she refused to take an order for dinner beginning at 5. What the heck? We didn't care that it doesn't come until after 4 for sure but her attitude and demeanor were the worst. We are just weary from traveling and wanted a nice dinner. We got nothing that resembled that. Based on a cursory search, Jonathan's is the only place to get a cocktail for a mile or more. And since it is only a parking lot away from the Hampton Inn, where we were staying, we stopped in for happy hour. The place was packed at supper time on a Thursday so they must be doing something right. We found a seat immediately at the bar (but as far as I could tell, there was no wait for a table). There were deals to be had at happy hour on a Thursday (went 'til 6, I believe): two-for-one beers and certain apps for $8. The bartenders were busy and competent. I got a very good Mexican Mule and a White Russian (because I'm geographically schizophrenic like that). The hubs liked the pizza "rolls," which were a very upscale version of the boring things one finds in the grocery freezer section, and I ate every bite of the Buffalo chicken dip (blue cheese crumbles optional). We skipped the traditional meal and went straight to the cookie skillet for dessert, which was divine: warm, gooey and topped with ice cream. Even though the bartenders were busy, our service was quick and accurate. Ya gotta like sports to sit at the bar as ESPN was on every channel but I found it to be a nice, non-political distraction. On that note, however, I as an out-of-towner found the sales tax and liquor tax to be a little cray-cray (like 14%). Be aware. read more

Jonathan's is one of our favorite places to eat anytime we are in town and there's one nearby. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food consistently delicious, and the menu is large enough to have something for everyone. Can't wait to come back and try more off the menu. This time, we had southwest egg rolls with spicy ranch (very tasty!), grilled fish with loaded potato and loaded sweet potato, and spicy pimento cheese sandwich on cranberry bread (this was top notch!). It was very crowded when we stopped in, but only had to wait about 15 mins. The bar area also offers 1st come, 1st serve which is a nice option as well. Definitely will be back! read more
