When I got my sandwich the bread was hard as a rock on the top and the bottom. Only 1/3 of the bread was edible. My husband had already been up there twice so I didn't waste my time with it anymore. I decided to stop through on the way back to Atlanta, it's in a great location right off of 75. The waitress was nice and the atmosphere was very casual. It looks very busy on the inside with lots of bills and other artifacts, almost a bit junky. The service was quick, the waitress was very friendly, and the chicken was awesome! It was well seasoned, well cooked, and crunchy. The sides, which consisted of slaw and baked beans, came as a meal but you can switch sides. Both the beans and slaw were pretty good too. I tried an Old Fashioned drink and it was surprisingly good as well. Overall, the prices were excellent and the food and service were very good. Our waitress accidentally knocked over a drink then splashed some water on one of our members. She's human so not a huge deal but did play a role in their check, tip wise. Also, 3 of us tried Champy's Punch which was not good. It was syrup and alcohol not flavorful at all. None of us could finish our drink. Tito's lemonade was alcohol and flavored water. My boyfriend and I were staying in a hotel nearby and thought Champy's looked like it might be a cool spot! Luckily, we were right! We started with 2lbs of crawfish. I had never had them before, but I'm a lover of seafood. Everything on this plate was unbelievably delicious. I will think about the crawfish once a week for the foreseeable future. The whole platter was seasoned to perfection. After the crawfish, we split a plate of chicken bites that came with two sides. We asked for a double side of their macaroni and cheese. The chicken bites were juicy, and the batter was a mixture made of magic. It was the perfect consistency. It wasn't too thick, or crunchy. It was just right! We ordered some buffalo sauce and ranch for dipping sauce, and both of the sauces tasted like they were made from scratch. We both loved the macaroni too! I wish I had more photos of the chicken and macaroni, but we dove in, and I forgot! Our server Taylor was very kind and great about checking in on us throughout the meal. We always had plenty of refills, napkins, and the opportunity to ask her for anything. She was fantastic! They've steadily declined over the past few visits, and today's nightmare justified an updated review. We met family at this central location and arrived just before 1PM. The remainder of our party of 6 arrived as the waitress took our drink orders. An hour later we inquired about our food after several false updates of "your food should be out shortly" from our waitress. We eventually found a manager who made a litany of excuses "It's after brunch hours and you ordered brunch items" (Why did they give us brunch menus? Why are brunch hours not published on those menus?), "The kitchen has only had your order for 30 minutes, and that's a normal wait time" (we know when we arrived because it was prearranged, so why did it take 30 minutes from the time we ordered until the kitchen got the order?), "It's the grilled chicken as we're holding the order until that's cooked" (my wife asked them to please serve everyone and not hold up the meals for just her order). When we served, many of the items were cold (e.g., my mashed potatoes and gravy, my wife's sandwich, etc.). And orders were incorrect (Waffle not Chicken & Waffles, no syrup with the waffle orders, charged for more drinks that patrons, etc.). The waitress was no where to be found by that point, so getting service was a nightmare. She did show up to provide the bill and bluntly informed us that gratuity was mandatory for a party of our size. read more

I am probably one of the pickiest people in the world when I comes to fried chicken. I was taking a few days to visit Chattanooga and fould this place by accident. I was recommended by a person at my hotel and I thought I would give it a try. When I arrived it looked bigger than I expected and was really kind of quirky in country meets beach kind of way. I walked in and was immediately greeted and seated and within a minute of sitting I had a glass of tea on my table. I ordered a half chicken with baked beans and potato salad. About four minutes later my server, Abigale, apologized to the food taking so long. I was thinking that in many places my order would not have even been placed in that time. My food arrived and I must say thjis was the best fried chicken i have had in years. Hot, crisp, with nice flavorful breading and it was cooked perfectly. I was totally impressed. Two days later, before I left town I drove 35 minutes across town to get another serving.. Again, upon entering I was seated immediately and my server, Savannah, was every bit as prompt attentive and just a friendly. I did't even pick uo the menu and ordered the same thing with exactly the same results. Beside the wonderfully fried chicken the baked beans are potato salad were terrific too. Great service and great chicken. I will be back. Oh and one more thing, I found out the have a location in Alabaster, Al not far from home. I'll be reviewing that one next week evidently. read more

We stopped for a quick bite to eat here on our road trip to Livingston TN and it was the perfect spot. They have outdoor seating and allow dogs which was great for us since we had just picked up our puppy. They had a decent selection of drinks as well! We both ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it was super crispy yet juicy on the inside and with pickles on it too was a great combo. It wasn't too spicy but had a slight kick to it. My boyfriend got the French fries which were good and crispy, and I got the potato salad which was the perfect amount of creaminess and crunch! It had some seasonings on top but it was not spicy. Located conveniently off I-75 near TN/GA state line this restaurant offers a unique and fun atmosphere. I would probably describe this more as a sports bar as they do have a huge bar area, lots of TVs, outdoor and indoor seating. Obviously we stopped on a game Saturday so it was pretty noisy. Our server was spot on, She was on top of everything, ensuring our sodas/water were full, it was so nice to have a server that actually enjoyed her job. So for the food. I had the fried chicken it was really good and moist. I didn't like the presentation of sides in tiny plastic containers, I just think if I want take out, I'll get take out. Sides mashed potatoes and gravy were average and I thought the coleslaw was too sour for me. Probably just personal preference. Hubby had breakfast he had a generous portion of thick cut bacon, eggs and biscuit. His biscuit cooked to perfection. He tried gravy on the side, it had a good taste, but a kick to it, and to thin to his liking. So get on side I think just individual taste. So this was the first time I had a catering order , it will be my last.. I ordered for 61 people. It was to be picked up at 5:45. I confirmed that morning .when I got there, they were still cooking and preparing the order. Way too many young girls standing around why other people were doing the work , this should be a team effort , after 40 minutes into it I finally decided that I need to step in considering that we only had three hours at the Aquarium where the event was taking place ,it started at six. They counted out 61 plates. They did not give dessert plate plates. They supposedly, counted out 61 silverware and we got about 50 sets, they never took in consideration that people might go back for seconds ..This wasn't a single plate setting it was a catering meal..they gave me four small bags of ice for 8 gallons of tea. By the time I got to the event half of the bags of ice were already Melted.. when they were ringing up the total, I asked them to make sure that it was correct found out that it was not, so I had to wait again , because the order was not correct they had to repack what wasn't correct. The lack of organization in this place is unbelievable. The lack of teamwork is unbelievable. The lack of time management is even more unbelievable , they want 18% to deliver. I'm glad I didn't because the order was not correct eating pie with no plates and no silverware was actually very hard. We had to pull silverware out of the trashcan and go to the bathroom and wash it off and shared plates .. that was already used from dinner , no extra nothing for 1400.000 dollars .. anybody considering champys for a catering order, I would suggest going elsewhere... the food was good but not worth the embarrassment of lack of skills to Figure out what might be needed for a party of 61, the wait staff needs trained.. they need to understand they don't get paid to stand around when a huge order needs to get out the door .. especially after already 45 minutes late .. this location was MLK not ringgold road .. after looking at reviews I think I need to look at my bill since I hear they charge for using credit cards . The food is good though people I've been with on previous visits have gotten chicken that's WAY too salty. Staff has corrected the issue but the rest of the party was mostly done eating by the time the fresh food arrived. I usually get the catfish and it's good. It's plenty to fill you and the choice of sides can be changed. Tonight I had fries, and while there were plenty, they weren't great. I usually get their Mac n cheese, which is a small serving but excellent. I also had the Champy's punch, which was plenty boozy and fairly tasty. This place is very casual. There was some live music on the patio tonight as well. Overall their food is usually good, though you get a bad batch here and there.
