Went on the food tour but like the way you can charge up your card and try different beers. Food was ok, but I only had a slider. I did like you can get wine beer or cider as options

Great place! The pub burger was delicious but the fries were my favorite! Would definitely eat it again. I wish the people working would have explained everything a little better to our group because we were all confused on what to do with the drinks and food because you order on a kiosk and had to use a tap card. The group would have ordered more if the employees would have explained it a little better honestly. Would go back!

Wall of beer. Not a huge selection, but pretty diverse.

Found this place via Yelp because I was on the hunt for self serve beer places in Chattanooga. After checking out American Draft around the corner (which apparently used to be a self serve tap as well), we stopped here for beer and food. Place was a little crowded on a very rainy Saturday evening. After checking in, we received a card that's used for keeping a tab when you pour. I'm used to wearing a bracelet at self serve taps, so it was odd at first. Beer selection is diverse, but not that huge. Something for everyone. Food order was done at a kisok and cooked in about 15 minutes. Loved the pretzel bites and pita chips/hummus combo. Overall nice vibe here.

Light beer, dark, cider, wine.

This place is amazing! Pretty much any variety of beer/cider you can imagine trying. The setup is pretty simple, when you walk in flash your id to prove you're 21 and leave a credit card on file. They'll hand you a sip card (similar to game cards) that you'll use to try the variety of beverages. Similar to a self serve yogurt place, you'll place your card at the appropriate machine you want to try, tilt you glass and give the handle a good tug. The price you pay is per ounce, which can be scary if you have a heavy hand, but the screen displays your running total on your card so you're not blind sighted at checkout. There isn't a food menu, but you're welcomed to have something local delivered. There are a variety of board games set up that you can play and relax. Such a chill atmosphere. When you leave, you hand over your sip card and they'll run your credit card for the amount you drank. My husband and I sampled 6 varieties and left paying $16 plus tip. I highly recommend the pineapple cider.

Many taps to choose from

Great variety of beer, wine and liquor. Food menu has a lot of variety too. Great concept where you pay for the amount you taste/drink.

Great new spot with tons of delicious beer, ciders and wine on draft. So nice to see the Pour system done well in Chattanooga! We have been waiting years for a location with this level of quality. First off, Bearded Iris Homestyle and Tunnel Vision DDH. Great choices! Also, love the willingness of owner/management to allow outside food to be delivered. Totally recommend taking advantage of free Southside Pizza delivery to the taproom! Thanks for bringing such a great spot to Chattanooga.

We happened upon this place before going to the Melissa Etheridge Concert At the Walker theater. What a delightful place. The hostess explained the process to us and helped us find our way. What a wonderful and unique concept. So many different varieties from wine, beer, to craft brews, kombucha, mead. Great experience, I highly recommend. They also have a nice selection of eats. Next time we head that way we will try the food, we had reservations for dinner somewhere else. They have tables and comfortable couches and a bar for seating.

What a uniquely cool and welcoming place! Been meaning to check it out after it opened in December. Some new friends and I stopped in recently on a rainy evening. Easy to buy a beverage card and then choose from over 60 beers, ciders, and wine to enjoy. Then the staff give you a tour. There are local, regional, and international choices. I chose the driest cider. You can also get food delivered or bring it in so of course we chose a couple appetizers from Southside Pizza. Taquieria Jalisco-Ania next time and it's just down the road. The bigger table we chose to hang out allowed for plenty of room for our coats, purses, food, and drinks. Temperature of the place was just right. We saw games nearby too including a deck of cards. The ambiance allowed for plenty of good conversation and laughs.

Starting to be discovered.

First of these places I've seen in Chatt. I love the idea of having multiple tastes, or half a pint, or whatever. Great beer selection (go "local"!!) Only about 1/2 a block off main. Friendly & helpful staff. I dig this place.

If you want to sample "ALL" the beers...this is the place ..wonderfully vast selection of craft beers offered as 'pay by the ounce'. Pour a lil, pour alot- it's your choice. Games available... Spacious ...clean restrooms... Friendly staff and an Untappd Venue.

Ask the Community - Fountainhead Taproom

Are they dog friendly?

While we really like dogs, we can’t have them inside. We are working on plans for an outdoor space this spring that will be dog friendly.

We parked and before even going inside we went out front to take some the sun started to set too much. The mirror is done by a professional artist known for her beautiful wing designs. On the patio that we walked past to get to the inside was a live band playing, and there were a ton of cute dogs all over with their owners enjoying the music. It was the cutest sight. Inside there are 2 sections of the brewery, but they had the front closed so we couldn't use the back smaller part. I liked the small part to be honest with you. It wasn't super small, but it was much more quaint looking. Service was super friendly, offering us a samples of anything that we would like to try, but of course, we ultimately got a flight. Luckily for me , they also had the Lions game on so I was able to see the end of the game and our victory. They do have food on their menus, and I can definitely see us returning it to this location when we're in Chattanooga again.

Only the back part of the brewery was open, with an indoor and outdoor area, a couple TVs, and eclectic decor. They were running a promo: $3 for a 10 oz beer or $3 for a 16oz beer if you buy food. We got the Bird Watcher Kellerbier and Sunblaze American IPA -- both were fine. We also got the Mission-style burrito with al pastor ($11), as a Super Burrito ($2 upcharge for sour cream and avocado). This was the worst burrito I've had in a long time. Al pastor should be a balance of sweet and spicy; this was overpoweringly sweet. The side salsas had no heat, either. Mission-style burritos are known for their size, but this was a normal burrito, smaller than I would get at Chipotle. It took about 20 minutes to get the burrito which was too long.

They have a beautiful patio to enjoy the weather or two floors inside for if the weather isn't quite what you're looking for. I sat at the bar and service was friendly but couldn't quite keep up. The only staff was a lone bartender trying to handle guests sitting at the bar, walk up guests (usually enough to form a line), plus actually pouring the drinks. For example, I was able to order beer and food from him at our seats, but I had to get in line with everyone else to close out. I had a flight of four beers (5oz each for $10 total): Cloud Walker Pale Ale, Pemberley Summer Brown, Golden Blackbird Belgian Blonde, and Numinous Strong Ale. All were good. I appreciated the variety. I also like that, even though some pints were more expensive than others, the flight was a flat $10 regardless. I got fries ($5) and the Greenhouse Smash Burger ($10). They are made by a food truck in the back and you have to pick up the food yourself. The fries were typical mass market frozen fries, the ones with the crispy exterior -- you'll probably recognize them in the photo. They were typical. The burger was very good but a little small. There wasn't enough meat to balance out the sauce and toppings; I would do a double patty next time. Overall, a little overpriced at $15 for a small burger and fries. I liked the decor a lot -- modern with lots of plants.
