Located in the Kinley Hotel behind a bookcase at the far right of the lobby lies the Company Chattanooga. It definitely has that speakeasy mystique. The places rather small and serves a variety of tapas with their fully stocked bar. My wife and I were there at the time they were open, so it was rather quiet and relaxing for the hour that we spent there. Drink prices are high - plan to spend an average of $16 per drink, including very average glasses of wine. Cool to come here one time, but not worth the high drink prices to linger. read more

The servers, food quality and ambiance saved this review. If I had to base my experience off of the greeting that we received from our initial interaction, this would be a terrible review. The greeter wasn't welcoming and needs to work on his conversational skills to attract/keep business. He actually seemed a bit annoyed by our presence. The servers on the other hand were EXCELLENT, so attentive and personable, which I appreciate because who wants to spend money where they don't feel welcome?? I certainly won't be in a hurry to come back simply based on this interaction, but I did enjoy and appreciate the food and service from the dining staff, especially our primary server. I sat at the bar so I really got to interact with the staff and they're great fun watching them make the cocktails. I absolutely loved mine not sweet or should say not too sweet and I've got to get myself some white port. The place is very cozy and comfortable. Started off with the bacon wrapped dates which I adore these were very good served with goat cheese I could have had a little bit more goat cheese but regardless delicious and well prepared. I was honestly almost full and I didn't really know what else to get as the menu is very small but I did get the truffle fries of which I could only eat probably 25 to 30%. They were wonderfully well seasoned. Bigger / thicker fries the skin still on they were delish and the dipping sauce was great as well. We were so excited to experience the speakeasy on our trip. It was a failure unfortunately. First, the era of a speakeasy does not include an Emo look. The bartender wasn't social at all. Round up to 4.5 stars This place is on the pricey side, but I knew to expect it. I made reservations on OpenTable for 8:30pm on a Friday in April. It wasn't crowded but towards 9:15/9:30pm it started to fill in. Their website recommends making reservations. I'm not sure how you would do walk-ins? Maybe just find someone at the front desk or bar/lounge area to let you into the hidden secret passageway? That's what I was informed to do when I inquired the day before our reservations. It's a small, intimate area with several booths, bar seating and corner areas with arm chairs & low tables. I ordered the Shnickelspritz a zero proof aperitif with oranges, a pretty drink with definitely a bitter bite. The truffle fries are considered a small plate, but had a decent amount of fries. This was soo delicious & tasty! The garlic & parmesan hits so good! It's a real winner. I also had the honey pecan grilled salmon as a main. While it was cooked perfectly, moist & tender but firm & flakey, it wasn't the best grilled salmon I've tasted but flavorsome nonetheless. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of couscous which accompanied the salmon. . We had a busy, long day & I was tired so I didn't bother to see if it was permissible to substitute the couscous. My friend ordered the charcuterie board & shared it among the table. It was quite palatable! I enjoyed this! The amount and size of the sourdough bread were large enough to make mini sandwiches. Even though I was tired, it didn't stop me from ordering the chocolate bread pudding which I later devoured in the comfort of our hotel room. My compliments to the chef! It's a nice, chill, quaint atmosphere. I can't vouch for the crowd volume later in the night as we had dispersed by a quarter til 10pm. read more

Chandler, in particular, was incredibly friendly and demonstrated her exceptional knowledge and skill in blending spirits and flavors seamlessly. You know you have a true mixologist behind the bar when you can't decide on a drink, and they ask you a few questions, then make you a well-balanced drink that meets everything you want from a cocktail in that exact moment. So, this was one of the only places open on Thanksgiving and for that we are grateful. However, while our server was great, and the location was super cool and very moody the food wasn't worth the price. It was small plates with somewhat mediocre food for a very big price! My absolute favorite spot downtown. Since moving to Chattanooga about a year ago, this has become my staple for meeting up with new friends! I have been here a half a dozen times and the service, the drinks and the ambience are always top notch. If you read my reviews, you know my favorite food of all time is Brussel sprouts. And the company has the best! Espresso martini is my go to, but everyone raves about the old fashioned! Make sure you make reservations because this place can get pretty packed. Me and the group of friends are in town celebrating my birthday. We spent one of our nights here for dinner and drinks. I love how the speakeasy has a secret door for you to get into. Makes it feel very special. We were welcomed in and sat at our table fast. We looked at the menu and noticed that it was very different from what was online. There were lots of things missing from what it showed online. And when we asked the waiter about it he just said yeah they haven't updated the menus yet online. So that was on strike for me because when you look ahead you're expecting certain things and they were not there. Our waiter was not the greatest. He seem to not be having such a great night. And this is the level of attention was off. I will say that halfway through a meal he left and another waiter in it up having to come finish out serving us. Which I thought was really weird. But the waiter was very nice. So as a group of seven we ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and got entrées. We got the chicken and the lollipops that when we asked the waiter how many you get he said four and the plate actually had three. The charcuterie board was not worth $25. The picture that they show online versus what you get does not match at all! It was very disappointing because it was basically more bread on it than cheese. So I would not waste my money on the charcuterie board. We also got the shrimp cocktail and the brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were pretty good. The entrée choices were very limited. So almost all of my friends got the burger which did not come with fries. You had to order fries separately which were not the menu but was on the online menu. Again very confusing and me a friend ended up getting the steak and smashed potato. Everyone enjoyed their entrée it was pretty good. I love the aïoli that went with the truffle fries and asked for some of that to put on my smashed potatoes. Game changer! If I deserve one of my friends got the bread pudding and it was pretty disappointing. We all tried a little bit of it but were not impressed with it at all. Also I ordered a rum flight which was just OK. I wish the waiter would've given me a little more information about the rooms he didn't say anything they brought it out on the tray and it had the names and the year old it was and that was it. I would say the speakeasy is more for the drinks and not necessarily the food. And the music was really low so it didn't really give the vibe I thought it would. read more

Let me start off by saying I love a lot of different establishments that are in the speakeasy fashion. I love hidden bars. This was awesome. You have to go into the Moxy Hotel, with the reservation of course, and then they will let you in. We got a booth there, and it was a really good vibe with good service. It was dark and intimate. I had not eaten all day so I got a burger and fries, which were actually good. But I got to know fashion and that was actually an amazing drink. The ice had the brand on it and everything. A good old-fashioned, you will have my attention! I would love to go back in do this again! read more

We made reservations 15 minutes before getting there, as you're supposed to do, but highly recommend making reservations through Google or online rather than the website itself. Excellent cocktails in a cozy environment ! The appetizers were superior as well, all around a very lovely place for a low key evening.

Small plates are actually large plates and they're amazing! Had the Brussels sprouts (wow!), deviled eggs, and pesto toast (which I'd probably call bruschetta) - all wonderful, with the sprouts worth an extra mention. Cocktails were likewise fantastic. I'd call out the Silver Dollar (with crème de Violette) and Diplomatic Immunity as standouts. If you're staying at the Kinley, no need to go anywhere. Just ask the front desk to reserve you a table at the Company and let them show you how to get there. read more

My wife and I loved this place! We were in town for a wedding, and we had a reservation for a Thursday night at 6, and it wasn't that busy. Chandler waited on us, and she was awesome! As I started asking about different bourbons, Cory came from behind the bar and was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. When I would mention the types of bourbons I liked, he would find another one that he recommended, and they were spot on! It wasn't only limited to bourbons, by the way. We ordered the deviled eggs (beet pickled), wagyu sliders, and brussel sprouts. All of them were really good. The ambiance was great. We've been to multiple speakeasies in different states, and this one was very relaxing, and there was no time limit. Maybe because it wasn't that busy. After having a great experience that night, we decided to come back Friday night. I guess I should add that we were staying at the Kinley for 3 nights. On Friday, we didn't have reservations. We came back from being out on the town and asked if they could accommodate us. To our surprise, they walked us right in. There were a few more people in there than last night, but it wasn't packed like we expected. I forget who waited on us this night (oops), but as we walked in, Cory greeted us with a big smile! He remembered us by name, and the amazing hospitality continued for another great night. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates (they have goat cheese, which I don't like), and they were good! I took a chance on these, and I was pleasantly surprised. The stuffed mushrooms were also good. Saturday night after the wedding, we decided to go back. We got lucky again. No reservation and they walked us right in. This time, we had Olivia. She was awesome as well! This night was the most busy but still was chill. It's funny because we got the same booth all three nights. I don't think we had food this night, but the drinks were on point, as usual. Overall, we had a GREAT experience! Very eclectic speakeasy in downtown Chattanooga! Hidden in the very posh Kinley Hotel, this cocktail bar with bar bites awaits your arrival.... although you must know it's there. The bar in the lobby area at The Kinley is beautiful and reminiscent of venues in New York City.... but you must request to enter the Company speakeasy. When your request is granted... we had a short wait... you will enter an entrancing space, filled with friendly people and delicious cocktail choices. The bar is copper which added to the secret and old world atmosphere. Many, many choices of thirst quenching options on the menu... and the Kinley burger, voted BEST in Chattanooga! Delicious! The drinks were great - bartender is good and can make a great cocktail. The decor was beautiful - dark, romantic, swinging music - copper top bar, banquettes. And it's all hidden behind . . . I must keep it secret. That makes it special. One thing I must say - bartenders and bar staff are known for being good with people. The staff here need to talk up the clients- we'll definitely buy more drinks if you do. A 4.5 but I'll round up with a hope that I'm blown away when I return. read more

I dunno. We showed up Friday night, not realizing we needed reservations (from the few reviews we'd seen on Yelp). We wandered around and found the exit, which was fun (we're not above an adventure), but then found the door locked. No big deal, right? We'll check the hours! Open? Well, looked like we need more information, then. So we check the website, which states it requires reservations. Nothing to suggest that you don't need one. At all. Clearly MUST have a reservation. So we sighed, made a reservation for the following Sunday evening, and went to Stir (everything there was top notch and we were seated right away). Then came tonight. We drove back, walked around the hotel lobby trying to make sense of it (there were two tiny mobile front desks, but the guy sitting beside them looked like a guest so we didn't want to disturb him) until we just decided to stand by a tiny desk with a tablet/kiosk thing. He said he'd see if they could let us in a few minutes early (they could). While we waited, a couple wandered up as well, looking as confused as us. They did NOT have reservations, but were looking for the bar. We didn't mind that at all, but it horrified us that we probably COULD have gotten in Friday, except that there was no evidence on the website that could have spared us the extra 1.2 hours round trip drive. We shrugged it off as our own error, though we were disappointed with the lack of information. We entered the bar and the entrance and ambience were pleasing. However, they weren't pleasing enough to warrant the entire trip. We were told to sit at the bar, even though there were empty tables and we had a reservation. I was flabbergasted, and it made me wary. However, I'm a cup-half-full chick, and thought, "Maybe something happened. We'll see where it all stands when their actual product arrives." The server seemed busy (it was just her and the bartender) so I tried REALLY hard not to begrudge her the fact that she was slow about absolutely everything. And there was only the one bartender, so the drinks might take a little while, I knew. 7 minutes after we sat down, we got a menu and ordered. 20 minutes later, we got our teeny tiny (but more-expensive-than-most-other-upscale-bars) drinks. They both tasted just horrible. There were two ingredients in mine that I couldn't even taste, and my husband's seemed like alcohol, water, and a small splash of apple juice. We arrived, with reservations (on a Wednesday it was probably unnecessary) and checked in with the Kinley Hotel desk. He brought us to the bookcase which opened to an intimate bar setting - the entire place. There are only a few tables, along with an extended bar. The menu is very limited. The charcuterie was disappointing, but the burgers were very good. The bar tender was the only server until after 6:00, when a second server arrived. A unique experience, but not a for the fodd - There are too many better/less expensive places if food is primary. read more
