I thought I had visited every winery in North Georgia until I recently started seeing advertisements for Cairn on Facebook. On our way to Blairsville for a Girls Wine Weekend, my friend and I chose to stop in at Cairn and give it a try. WOW! We had an amazing experience! Johnny greeted us and explained the menu. My friend and I both did Bucking Blancos wine tasting. They were all VERY good, but our favorite was the Wheeping Willow. We bought bottle to enjoy later. We were also hungry so we shared a chicken salad croissant (which was plenty for the 2 of us). The owner, Brent, stopped by and we enjoyed talking to him about our future trips to Europe. Made a long Valentine's weekend and in hindsight, this was our last stop of the three-day excursion, and next time, it will be the first! We're living temporarily in the Atlanta area so we're doing everything we can to explore this beautiful part of the country (and the wine). We were running a little late on Sunday so unfortunately, we arrived just as the music was wrapping up and didn't have as much time as we'd have liked to fully explore Carin and all it had to offer. However! What we were able to experience was great and worthy of a return trip to continue our experience. Brent and his staff provide excellent personalized service in a warm and welcoming environment. We shared a 'Taste of Georgia' tasting that is skillfully paired with cheeses and chocolate for each estate wine. That is one thing we appreciated, all the wines we had were estate wines. Much of what we've found in our wine travels have been imported grapes or wine from the west coast. C'mon . . . show me Georgia! In addition to the tasting, we did enjoy the BBQ Slider Duo and the Chicken Salad Croissant. Even if you don't get any wine; you must, I repeat must, get either of those items. They were absolutely delicious and worthy of the trip themselves! We need another visit with more time to really explore the wine a bit more, but based solely on the personalized and engaging service we can't wait for a return trip come spring/summer! read more

This north Georgia winery experience is all about wine for happy trails! THE premier boutique winery, you'll enjoyed a unique tasting experience with a relaxed, spacious tasting room filled with wines made by cairn in Washington state, but this year, they will have their first crop grown right there in their vineyard! Outside, they have a beautiful wrap around porch with seating, outdoor fire pits and live music on select days! You can opt for a wine tasting to find your favorite like the ones that John and I did. Our first tasting was The Bucking Broncos includes crisp Sauvignon Blanc paired with aged cheddar, floral Mountain Laurel Rose (second favorite), tasty Weeping Willow White, and my favorite the Springer Mountain blend with pepper jack cheese. Our second tasting was CVW Reserve Tasting includes Burnt Mountain Red reserve, 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2022 Malbec, and Panther Creek Red blend. All paired with aged cheese and chocolate. We had our wine tasting on our exclusive VIP tour, exploring the vineyard, the barrel room, and behind the scenes with a one-on-one tasting with the tasting room manager in their VIP room. Beyond the tours and tasting, they also have wine by the glass and an array of snacks, like their amazing charcuterie board! It includes Pepper jelly, an array of cheese, olives, a mix of meats, crackers, and grapes. What a cool little find on my way back home from Gibbs Gardens. Serene atmosphere, cool music and a great wine tasting. A little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. We met the owners Deborah and Brent and at different times, they spent a lot of time talking to us and answering our questions, especially the ones about how 2 people with no hospitality or wine experience were crazy enough to tackle this adventure. Enjoyed our time here today. This place is located a bit off of the beaten path but their wine and chill atmosphere is worth tracking down. They will be celebrating their one year anniversary next week. We were kindly greeted immediately upon walking in the door. Staff was very welcoming and informative. The building is very tastefully constructed, and is warm and inviting. We had a bottle of their Pinot Noir roséand it was light, refreshing yet had a wonderful mineral essence to it. Very cute, quaint winery with a lodge on the property that you can stay at. The staff were wonderful and the owners were so nice. I sampled two whites, two reds and a rosé that were recommended by the staff and I enjoyed every one of them. They have a sweet dog Zoe that wanders around and an outdoor cat Olive, adding to the charm. We went for their NYE party and it was a good time with live music. My dearest friend and I visited Cairn View Winery for the first time last Friday. Debi, Brent, and their staff are so warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. From the moment they introduced themselves, we felt like old friends. The wines (and cheeses) are outstanding, the ambiance beautiful and relaxing, and the experience just so much fun. We cannot wait to visit again (unfortunately, we do not live close enough to be every Friday night regulars), and bring a larger group with us to share in the fun. The wines were ALL great which is not usually my experience in GA. I've been to almost all of the wineries in N. GA, and these wines are very high on the list! What a great find on our way through town. We were greeted by the tasting room manager, Jonny, and the owner. It was a pleasure speaking with both of them. Very relaxing atmosphere. We love reds so we ordered the Reserve which came with cheese and chocolate samples. They had a full menu with meals but we were just stopping by on our way to dinner. This off the dirt path (literally) winery is such a hidden gem! First off, it's quaint and quiet, beautiful and massive. The property is attached to bed and breakfast which looks adorable.
