Great Local Catfish and Fried Chicken. Friendly Service. With a friendly family outdoor setting and great service you won't be disappointed to make this stop a must do! And the prices are great too! I give Champy's Lee Hwy. an .5 Stars. Ask for Kate

WHAT A FIND! EAT HERE! Making the pilgrimmage from Michigan to Florida. Got hungry just before Chattanooga... Happened to look on Yelp! for a place my mom heard about... but found this instead. They had me at Fried Chicken! 1. Talk about character and personality! What a delight! Like nothing else I've experienced (if you've been to Skinney's burger shack near Holmes Beach in Florida -- kinda like that but on steroids... with chicken and $5 40 oz beers!) 2. Delicious food at great prices! The chicken was steaming hot, juicy, perfectly cooked with the flakiest, crunchiest battered skin -- the definition of FINGER LICKING good! (No offense, Col. Sanders) 3. Our Waitress, Lauren, was a delight. She was friendly, welcoming, happy to Sam's wet our tourist questions about the place. She fixed me up the perfect sweet-unsweetened tea mix AND quickly and happily produced a sharpie and staple gun so we could add our Doll@r bill to the wall art! (Be sure to bring an extra One to add!) LOVED every bite and minute. We look forward to stopping again on our way home!

Tamales - excellent

We have dined at their downtown restaurant but never here. This location is a basic copy of it. It has a bar feel. Think honky tonk. The food is just as good as down town. Love their fried chicken. The starter, tamales are excellent as well. Their potato salad is above average too. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. If you love fried chicken this is the place. There are several locations in TN and AL.

Located along Lee Highway, they are really easy to find. Parking is in a area separated from the rest of the shopping complex so traffic is reasonable. Parking is adjacent to the building as well as across a traffic lane. There are handicapped spaces near the entrance door as well. Walking in, we were greeted right away and quickly taken to a booth. They have outdoor covered seating, but we opted for indoors. Indoors was not really any different from outdoors as they had doors and windows open. Our waitress took our drink order and returned with them quickly. We made our entre selections and waited about 15 minutes until the food was brought to our table. The fried pickles were very good. There is enough breading to add to the flavor but not so much the pickle gets lost. The fried chicken is crispy and tender, which you would expect from a place that specializes in chicken. The fries are extra crispy outside and soft inside. The mac-and-cheese side was watery instead of creamy with little cheese flavor. It seemed more like the cheese came from a powder mix. The chicken sandwich was good, with well-prepared chicken and fresh lettuce, etc. They do what they say they do well, which is exactly what you should expect.

Champy's is everything you want in a Southern comfort food spot--and then some! We stopped by while visiting Chattanooga and were absolutely blown away. The fried chicken is next-level--crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell it's made fresh, with real care and attention to flavor. We've had a lot of fried chicken over the years, but Champy's easily ranks among the best! The vibe inside is super chill and cozy, with a fun, Southern dive feel. It's the kind of place where you can kick back, sip a cold drink, and enjoy good food with good company. The staff really bring the experience to life--they're friendly, full of energy, and seem to genuinely enjoy being there, which makes all the difference. We didn't get a chance to try everything (those Mississippi Delta tamales are on our list for next time), but we'll definitely be back. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Champy's is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic, flavorful food and a fun, welcoming atmosphere.

Nice dive bar atmosphere. Chicken was delicious hot, crispy and fresh. The Cole slaw was my favorite side item. Beans were very good but not what I expected. The real treat was the Mississippi tamales. They were exceptional. Had great amount of meat and 6 is a meal in itself. Service was great seated right away waitress was helpful and food came out very quickly. Didn't have to wait on refills Had a great meal and will be back

A Chattanooga local favorite according to staff at the Drury inn and they were right... some of the best fried chicken I've had

Great place for hot fried chicken and fish! The inside is casual, unpretentious and a bit whimsical with dollar bills, booths, large bar, assorted tabletops with plastic tablecloths. You can dine inside or outside. Very affordable with most meals under $20. Lots of drink specials. Sunday there are Bloody Mary and mimosa specials. The service was great. Worth a visit!

Sigler's is fairly unassuming but as a beer shop, it's all about the beer. You'll find a bar near the entry on the left with tables extending towards the back. The beers were mostly an assortment of offerings from local breweries - we were there to sample the beer they produce (they are also a local brewpub under the AlphaBrews brand). I tried a flight including: * Bless Your Lime Fruit Beer - 5% ABV - Super neutral, low level lime note, almost creamy across the tongue, easy drinker. 3/5 * Into the Blue Wheat Beer - Fruited 5% ABV - Tart body with a blueberry nose, daily easy drinking. Great lacing - make more of this! 3.5/5 * Tweed and Feed English Mild - 5.8% ABV - Pretty tasty brown with roasty malt body, tiny bit flat, bitter finish. 4/5 * Midnight Vanilla Milk Porter - 5.5% ABV - Roast malt creamy backbone, notes of chocolate and coffee, I'm not getting much vanilla, mostly a tiny bit nose. 4/5 Overall I think the beers were competently made, the service was fantastic - the guy behind the counter knew his stuff and was super personable. We're planning on hitting Sigler's on a regular basic - not much else in this area of Chatt.

There's plenty of parking nearby so you don't have to walk far. This neat beer bar reminds me of the crowler shops that you used to find around Atlanta, with around 30 taps containing about a thrid local beer, so you can sample several local breweries without visiting each one (they're mostly not too near each other so this is very convenient). The taproom "beertender" seemed to be fairly knowledgeable regarding the various offerings - there's also a convenient list highlighting the different beers with style notes. We sat at the bar and were able to bring in some food from the nearby restaurants (I grabbed some wings at the nearby Marthie Ann's which were excellent). To drink I tried Hoptown's own Orange Mango Wheat - a somewhat basic wheat beer with hings of sweet tangerine and mango - nothing special. I had a Maine Brewing "Lunch" with the wings which is always a winner - it's an exceptional New England IPA. Service was great - I can see myself hitting Ooltewah just to come by for a break in driving.

They share the space with Malone's which is on the left when you walk in. The hosts at the front directed me to the sliding doors on the right where Harry's was. I got the Steak Sandwich with a side of crinkle fries. It was good. The fries were crispy and hot when they came out. When our food first came out, I didn't anticipate my sandwich to be pretty small. It was definitely smaller than I thought. I felt like my fries felt more plentiful than the main sandwich. The Steak Sandwich was delicious. I liked the provolone cheese and caramelized onions. And the steak was cooked pretty good too. My only complaint food-wise was that I expected more for the price I paid. I wish the sandwich was larger. Lastly, when me and my friend were in the middle of talking, our server interrupted us to ask if we needed a box and check. Our food was almost done, I was in the middle of eating my food listening to my friend but it was just such odd timing to ask that. It felt like we were rushed to be kicked out or something. After our waitress left, my friend and I looked at each other in confusion for a good moment. Also, we didn't "overstay" in the sense of staying and talking at our table for hours. We were just in the middle of our meal. I've dined in at a decent amount of places, and the waiters and waitresses have always swung by at a good time and sometimes later than we want which is understandable due to busy circumstances. But to ask with half a bowl of fries and a quarter of my sandwich left while I'm still eating and conversing? Maybe she's a new waitress and doesn't understand cues yet, but I've never experienced poor understanding and customer skills from a waitress. Food was decent, the hosts at the front were friendly and helpful, but service was poor. That was my experience and I don't think I'll be back again.

I personally loved the styling. The first thing that draws the eye is the bar area with what I can only describe as a wall of whiskey. They display literally hundreds of bottles of liquor nearly to the very high ceiling, all tastefully presented and back lit so that warm amber is the predominate hue. Just striking. The entire place was very swank. I immediately felt under dressed , but in reality our attire was on a par with everyone else. The staff was outstanding. Our waiter, Caleb, couldn't have been more genial and attentive. He took the time to explain the menu and highlight the specials. Very good at his job. I ordered Philadelphia Roll with Miso Soup. My wife had the Bluegrass Chicken which made her eyes roll with pleasure. She gave me a taste, and it was, indeed, great. My Sushi was fresh and outstanding. We shared a very good salad. Just first rate fare. Price wise, this is among the more expensive places, but well worth it. Quality costs, right? This will have to be one of our special places when we don't mind splurging a bit. No issues with accessibility with my wheel chair. Spacious, and, as I said, so tastefully appointed. Payment was a breeze with the handy WR code. Highly recommended.
