A great pizza joint. We came at lunch on a Monday, so I can't speak to rush time waits. We were seated immediately. If you're a wheelchair user, rest easy in the knowledge that there are zero acessibilty on issues either in the dining room or in the rest room - the latter being very clean. The young man who seated and waited on us, Lucas, was very upbeat and friendly and quite attentive during our meal. So, good job Lucas! We had the lunch special: one way generous slice of pizza and a salad for $9, which is pretty great. We had the Hot Mess pizza and a Greek salad- both outstanding. The hostess was friendly and helpful at the time of pickup. - I had had a rather mediocre "Detroit-style" pie at the downtown location (see separate review) and so I tried the New York style "Tie-Dye" this time (vodka sauce, pesto, Brooklyn moz). Rich flavors, good quality ingredients, and worthy crust texture score this pie an 8.5 out of 10. - Not a fan of kale but felt I needed something healthy and ordered the kale salad. The service was great, though I could have done without the man's comment where he laughed and talked about how quickly we ate the pizza. The ambiance is nice. Lots of room and the music isn't loud. The pizza was good, had the Melrose and Drunken Pig, both NY style. My only gripe was that the sauce was too thin and dripped off the slice. Terrible low quality pizza. No sauce on the pizza, cheese barely even melted, the crust wasn't even cooked all the way and was just a soggy mess. Meatballs had no sauce and the salad was nothing but unwashed Romain hearts covered in brown marks..... nothing about this is worth the money or time. Imagine ordering extra cheese and extra sauce and it's like the staffs feel that you can get away with cheating out on absolutely everything. Paid for two toppings barely put any on it. This place is terrible at respecting their customers money. The manager is super rude. The cheese doesn't even cover the whole pie that's insane that you guys would send that somebody who not only asked and ordered extra cheese and sauce but has paid for it. I was in Chattanooga for a quick getaway. We were looking for food but most places closed at 8ish. Nonetheless, we checked the reviews on this place and they stayed open until 10pm!!! Perfect, we placed a pickup order at 9pm. We were told food would be ready in 30-45 minutes. Cool no worries as my thought process is hot, fresh food right? When we go pick it up, it's like 20 minutes before closing. We ordered 3 drinks but no cup holders so as we're struggling to carry the food and 3 drinks.. one of the staff did assist us by bringing the pizza to the car. That was appreciated! We get back to the hotel and no utensils or napkins in the bag. We ask the hotel staff for utensils and are accommodated. Finally, we can eat! When I opened my Chicken Parmesan container... the portion size as well as the look of it was oh soooo disappointing! I frequently eat Chicken Parmesan at various restaurants. This was the most lackluster, half ass attempt smh! But we were hungry and already spent $70! The chicken had a dab of sauce. Pasta no sauce. The roll was hard and old. I can definitely tell that those rolls were old and slapped with butter and put in our container. The portion size was meh ! We're talking Pasta people! Most Italian restaurants at least fill up the container. Nonetheless, I have to pick my battles... a lot of subpar pasta or less of subpar pasta lol. My friend had the margheita pizza and it was just as bad as our Chicken Parmesan dishes! Smh the pizza lacked flavor. But again, we were hungry. The only good thing is we didn't go to bed hungry. Community Pie was great! They have New York and Detroit style pizzas, and you can order small pizzas, large pizzas, or pizza by the slice. I thought the options for their specialty pizzas were pretty unique and cleverly named. I had a cheese slice with mushrooms added and a slice of the Demarco. I thought both were really good and prices were fair. I went with my friend and he ordered the grown-up fried, which he said was tasty and had a nice kick, and their home slice, their name for the day's special, which was the superhero. The food was good. Service was good. And the ambiance is really cool. When we parked I immediately noticed how cute and modern the place is. Then inside the murals are really cool, creative, and on theme. It's a fun time, good pizza, good for groups, and has space to sit outdoors. read more

We've been here now several times and love it! Staff are great, bartenders always willing to get a tv on your preferred team and sport, and they are quick to offer recommendations on the menu. Pizza is consistently good, and Five Wits beer is very tasty. Get a flight f you love beer, that way you can try out several. You can get a couple if the pizzas by the slice, and those slices are big! My personal favorite pizza is the margarita, so yummy!! Love the bar area, lots of TVs and quick service! First time at this location. The wife and I frequent the Downtown (THE O.G.!!) location and it is our favorite place to get pizza. So when we heard that they opened a location in the Hamilton Mall area we were very eager to try it. We showed up right at 11:00 since I heard it can get pretty crowded . The staff was very attentive and very nice. We order the BBQ chiken pizza Detroit style and NY style Drunken pig. We wanted to order half and half (two specialty toppings ) like we usually do in the OG location. But for some reason this place could not accommodate that. No biggie. So why 3 stars?? Well....the pizza...it is just not on par with the OG location. If this was a new pizza place in Hamilton Place XYZ Pizza ..I would of said ..." it is not bad" ...HOWEVER, when you put the name " community Pie" in your name...then the expectation goes way higher. This place does not live up to the name....at least not yet. Also even though the pizza looks.pretry good (pics) the undercarriage was burned in some areas . I had to eat around it. Overall the crust is just not "NY" style...it is hard and floppy at the same time...kind of weird...I felt maybe was not fresh? Not sure. I really love pizza specially NY style ... community Pie downtown it is soo good it is comparable to some top places in NYC.... Soooo......if you are a long OG customer I would stay away from this place. If you never visit the downtown location...then this place is ok if you want to try it... We always love going to the downtown location, so we were thrilled when we heard that Old Chicago was leaving and CP was taking over the space. Our early visits were mixed - there were a couple times when we ordered a cheese pizza for the kids to go and what we got looked like one they had on deck for slices and warmed back up (had that two- stage cheese where the older cheese is a little translucent and the newer stuff has been sprinkled over the top and melted). That being said, they seem to have worked out the kinks and our last couple visits have been great. The Detroit pizza continues to be a favorite - Melrose and Super Hero are some of our go-to's but all the specialty pies are excellent. Cesar salad is crisp and well dressed. Service is consistently good. Beer options are top notch. Excellent overall experience. read more

The famous philosopher once said, sometimes you have to go where everybody knows your name. This is my experience at Community Pie. Working behind the bar was my friend, Andrew. His partner in crime and fun times, Joe was absent and abandoned me and my friends. Standing in his spot was a equally fun duo, Hunter and Lucas. It takes two guys to replace Joe. Walking in, I was greeted by Andrew. Quoting the Beastie Boys, we were ready to fight for our right to party. My friends and I watched the game, Andrew provided excellent advice, attention, and beers. Lucas and Hunter worked the bar with teamwork, like a pair of skilled synchronized swimmers but without the speedos (thank you). There are very few places you can go, where people remember your name. Community Pie exceeds this with not only remembering my name but my beer. It has become my new favorite spot. While the beers are plenty, the pizza is fantastic -- the teamwork and the hospitality at Community Pie complete the experience. I have no idea who does the hiring or onboarding, but I hope they get excellent kudos. It is rare you see people enjoy their team, their jobs and their guests. Community Pie does it all. As former New Yorkers we were pleasantly surprised to find good pizza in Chattanooga! Here visiting relatives after a week in northern TN and this place was right next to our hotel. More of a sports bar atmosphere than a pizza parlor being light and open. Very busy as it was Saturday night and near a mall and movie theater. Our server was busy so the manager stepped right in to get our drinks and answer questions. Pizza came out promptly and was delicious. Highly recommended giving this place a try. read more
