There is no better pizza in town or anywhere nearby. Gabriel's has consistently been my go to pizza spot for over 20 years. The Magnificent Seven is my favorite but the Stockyard is also pretty great. I challenge you to find better tasting ranch dressing anywhere else also. If you go there on a Sunday they serve a pizza buffet, which is really nice when you want to take the kids out but are on a budget. The service is always top notch. They hire the sweetest people. The last time we ate there, our server was Raelyn, and she went above and beyond for me and my family. The vibe is cool. I arrived at Gabriel's Pizza at 5:01 PM and was seated as soon as I checked in (no, I didn't make a reservation). I ordered a 12-inch California Pizza, which took 17:55 minutes to arrive. The restaurant is clearly going for that old school pizzeria look with its dimly lit interior (which includes the bathroom as well, and no, it wasn't hard to see anything), staff all wearing black attire (with black tires to boot), neon signs inside the restaurant, brick walls, and black chalkboards with menu related advertising. Speaking of staff, my server Cooper was very pleasant, and I even got to meet the owner of the restaurant, Charlie (she was helping out in the restaurant). Charlie seemed like a very friendly person. I also briefly chatted with another staff member who was a fellow Rammstein fan (he shared a story about attending one of their concerts in France). As for the pizza itself, it was definitely tomato forward (that's more from the kind of pizza I ordered, which had a tomato sauce and diced tomatoes as a topping), but it was very good and not at all like the kind of greasy garbage pizza you get from fast food pizza places. If I did have any sort of criticism, its that I didn't know they served a cannoli dessert here. Said cannoli dessert, the Holy Cannoli, wasn't listed on their website or in their menu that I saw. I only learned about it from one of the chalkboards that's inside the restaurant, and I did confirm with Charlie that its offered year round and isn't just a seasonal thing. I would at advise to at least mention having it on your website. Overall, it made me nostalgic for those kinds of pizza places we used to have when I was a kid. A fun aside, at the entrance to the restaurant, there's a display cabinet filled with Gumby merchandise. The owner Charlie informed me that it was all from her personal collection, and that she apparently has the largest Gumby collection this side of the Mississippi River. read more

I cannot say the same for the mozzarella it was fresh but poor quality. I understand that businesses have had to cut back due to supply cost, but low budget cheese on a pizza is not the way to do it. We sat at the restaurant for an hour and a half with everyone at the table having their food/finished eating besides my grandmother and we came for her birthday. They spilt an entire tray of drinks on one person then proceeded to spill two pitchers on him. We asked for something to be taken off our bill after the terrible service with nobody getting refills or a waiter in sight until we got up and asked for them. The store manager and both male waiters were rude and disrespectful and we had to argue to get anything taken off our bill after the terrible service. They even tried to threaten us telling us "it wouldn't be good if they had to go get their manager because he wouldn't be very happy". To finish off the night they added a gratuity on our bill for a tip when we had zero service all night. Then one of the waiters was bashing us to another customer up front right in front of our faces for problems they caused. Me and my family will never be dining here again and I would advise against it unless you plan to serve yourself. We ordered their pizza and bread sticks the day that we moved into our new home based on local recommendations. The pizza was absolutely delicious and we were very impressed but the bread sticks were some of the worst we've ever had. Pizza is very good. We had a 12" deep dish pie that was loaded out. Normally I can eat almost all of a 12" pizza but they load these things down! Trust me, one slice is all an average man can eat. My advice; if you normally order a 12", get the next size down unless you want some for the following morning. Speaking of the next day, this pizza is fantastic cold. Service was good, the pan crust cost an additional 2.50 which for me was a first. If you order one of the menu combinations be careful about asking for extra cheese. If you read carefully, you will see that several come with extra cheese standard. Trust me, when they say extra cheese, they MEAN EXTRA CHEESE!!! I have never seen so much cheese on a pizza in my life! Restaurant is a little small but not cramped. It could use some freshening up but it was by no means dirty. I only tried one breadstick. It was the one that came with the salad. It was super moist and tasted great. I also got a side salad which I won't do again. I found it hard to eat in the small bowl so I just dumped it onto the plate they provided. A salad was only lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and carrots. I feel bad saying that, but seriously I would never recommend this place to ANYONE. The food is extremely greasy, and it tastes horrible! Little Ceaser's tastes better in my opinion. *insert face palm BUT they did have good service, and the venue appeared to be clean, which is really nice! They did seem to be short staffed. There was only one waitress waiting on the entire place and she appeared to lack a little knowledge about the menu; but I'm a server and I know sometimes when it's super busy you can have a brain fart! First timers on the recommendation from our friends. We are very glad! The service was fantastic, Jed our server was super friendly and efficient. The pizza was some of the best we've eaten. We had half and half. My wife's half was her usual simple chicken and garlic/no sauce and mine was the Angel Gabriel. It was absolutely loaded with everything and super flavorful. It's very rare that I try a new restaurant and it blows me away in every aspect. Gabriel's pizza can be added to that elite list. I had read about Gabriel's and went with two friends on a Friday afternoon for lunch. At that time, in mid-March of 2020, Gabriel's was one of the only places in town that was still offering onsite dining due to the emerging COVID-19 threat. Gabriel's pizza buffet works like this: they have certain pizzas made up in back that you can choose to have a slice of, but you can also choose pizzas from the menu to have them cook that will then go onto the pizza buffet bar. The thing is, you never actually go up to the bar itself (at least we didn't - maybe that was because of Covid emerging), our waiter would bring the pizzas over to our table and offer us slices from the various pies available. Gabriel's has a unique item called a Piatto, an ultra thin crust pizza. The Big Al's and buffalo chicken piattos were delicious. The regular crust pizza called the Stockyard (with pepperoni, ham, beef, bacon, breakfast sausage, and double cheese) is a meat-lovers dream. The BBQ bacon cheddar cheeseburger pizza was unlike any flavor combination I've ever experienced on a pizza. The blending of BBQ sauce and silky smooth melted smoked cheddar cheese is a taste sensation that you need in your life. Even their breadsticks, rolled in garlic butter sauce and served with marinara sauce, are delectable. My mouth is watering writing this right now and that's a testament to how incredible the food is at Gabriel's Pizza. As soon as Gabriel's Pizza fully opens up after COVID, don't walk, run to get there. I cannot wait to return. read more

The Barbecue Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger Pizza is the best. All there food is good and made fresh, the prices are reasonable. Others complain about the service but they do a good job, the orders are correct and they will get anything you need. I have had worse service from the big chain restaurants. Wow! Thanks to Allen, the Manager the night we decided to go here. Traveling with a group of 28 teens and adults, I called with a request to accommodate us for dinner about an hour before closing. He said yes without hesitation. When we arrived at almost 9:00 pm, we were a little concerned as it was the parking lot was dark and it just looked a little sketchy. But we went in and promptly took over the place. The wait staff was super friendly, the food fantastic and fresh. Pizza was out of this world. Calzones piping hot, oozing with deliciousness, and includes up five fillings in the price. Several sizes of pizza 8" -16" and toppings galore. Thin, thick or traditional crust. Prices are good too! No one had any complaints about anything they ordered. Hands down one of the best pizzas joints I have found in the South, since moving from the NY/NJ area.
