absolutely obsessed with oddstory brewing! the vibe is always perfect. super casual, clean and low key spot to grab a tasty beer or non alcoholic drink and a smashable smash burger (with fries - yum)! the service (although non-traditional) is always great! you order and pickup your drink and food at the bar, which is fine for me! the employees are always quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. the only downside is that kiddies will sometimes run around in the adult area as opposed to the lovely mid sized ares specifically designated for kids to roam and play! other than that, love the spot! it's dog and kid friendly, which i think is a major plus for most people. read more

we are on vacation here in chattanooga and decided to check out Oddstory since we love breweries, i also came across it on instagram when looking for places to try in the area. they had a nice selection of draft and craft beers. my bf loved the cloud walker. i was disappointed they didn't have any ciders on tap, i've been to many breweries and taprooms that have cider on tap. this is the only reason for 4 stars as i would expect more options on tap across the board. they had some specialty cocktail selections as well. we absolutely loved the food we ordered. i wanted to try the elote fries i saw on the instagram post and they look just as good in person and taste as good as they look. i don't think the type of frozen fries they are would be as good by themselves but with all the elote topping they were the bomb dot com. i also got the taquitos and they were perfectly spicy and creamy and delicious. perfect amount of sauce drizzled on top to get some in every bite. i would eat here again and again just to try everything else. i love the idea of fusion street food. they got it going on. i noticed some reviews here about the ordering style. there is a window outside to order food and pick it up. however, you CAN order food at the bar inside. we asked and did order food at the bar same time as ordering drinks. but you do pick it up outside. they came and bussed the tables frequently to remove drinks and trash. there is so much space and were so many options for seating which is great. it's way too hot outside this week to enjoy sitting outside unfortunately and while they had some fans going, not enough during this extreme heat watch happening right now. i had my two children with me and would've enjoyed sitting outside in the family/kid area on another day with nice weather. as a mom, my only suggestion for the family area is less tables and more space for children to run and play. they only offered some chalk to scribble on the sidewalk. ((back home we have a brewery, called 3rd Planet, with a kid area that is sectioned off with a fence and netting for kids to run around, throw balls, and truly play and have fun while the adults enjoy a minute to relax and unwind.)) we got lucky and it happened to be bingo night! that was such a fun time with my family. it was a packed house i'm guessing because of bingo night. the swag shop has plenty of options and i got a pint glass for only $7 to remember this great vacation in chattanooga:) read more

I want to really like Oddstory, but I struggle a bit. The ordering process is strange - food ordering window is outside but the drink orders are taken inside. Very weird. The interior is kind of like a Yuppy-esque gastropub meets industrial-chic. It works, for the most part. EVERYTHING is self service, from food/drink orders to bussing your own tables. I think this helps keep the costs reasonable. The food was eclectic and excellent - I cannot say enough about how amazing their chips (fries) are. They're super crispy, yet moist in the middle and they really hold up well to any kind of sauce. Their super crispy rest of the menu was tasty also - from their options for a smash burger all the way down to Thai tacos. I think that there is something for everyone and the best part is how dog-friendly Oddstory is. I think it's a keeper for my occasional list, but not a go-to for me as a regular. Not a huge deal, but kinda annoying to wait in the giant line instead of having a server (it was busy). My salad was ... fine. I liked the sauce but the chicken was a tad overcooked and dry. Burger was decent but not crispy on the edges like some smash burgers. I think the food is decent if you come here to drink, but I wouldn't go just to eat. The spot is cool and would be nice to sit outside on a nice day. You can bring dogs but you have to control where they potty which seems unlikely at least with our dogs lol. read more

We made Oddstory our last brewery in Chattanooga before having to head to the airport. The only thing that I would say we were sad about was that they did not have any TVs and we were still in the sports mode. Luckily their wifi worked perfectly fine so we just put the game on one of our phones. They did have a few sours for me to order and enjoy and then had plenty for Ben to order. They don't do flights per se, but they do half pours. I walked around a little bit to take in the scenery as I did notice that they had food but you do have to go outside order and pick up which is no problem because it's literally right outside the door to their back patio area. The back area was full of families and furry friends. Our servers were attentive to our needs and fun to talk to. You could see that they all enjoyed each other's company as well which I believe is very important in the service industry. read more

The ambiance is so cute. It was still decorated for Halloween and they went all out. The wait staff was super cool and friendly. The beer I tried was delicious and called the Day Bloom. I also tried their spooky margarita and it was an amazing margarita which I wasn't sure if I could expect from a brewery. This place is really nice for a day with good weather. They have a ton of space outside and covered seating so you aren't baking in the sun. I've gone a couple of times and had great burgers and chicken sandwiches. I LOVE the elote fries (because I love corn and I love fries). They can keep away the cilantro if you ask. Went here for Chattanooga Burger week so my wife could get the truffle shuffle burger. The place was packed but the staff were on top of it. Staff were friendly and food came out timely. My wife loved the burger. We also got the fish Báhn Mi. It was great. The spicy miso mayo and jalapeño crema along with the crunch of the vegetables were delish. The fish had a nice crunch as well. We got a pretzel also and it was cooked very well. It paired great with the cheese sauce and mustard. The weather was great so we sat on the patio which has a great vibe. What a utterly pleasant experience My husband and I stopped by for a quick lunch and enjoyed every minute of it! I enjoyed the Thai tacos, flavorful and delicious moist chicken with a definite kick. I went to several breweries on a recent trip to Chattanooga and Oddstory was the best. They have 2 locations and we went to both. The first one we stopped at was just outside of the downtown area. Very cool spot with an outdoor area. Ate there as well, and food was really good. That evening we went to the one downtown, near our hotel, and it was a really nice space. They call it the Greenhouse, and you can see why, tons of hanging plants. They don't allow children after a certain time, which we arrived just after, but they were cool about us coming in with my 8yo. Great beer, great food, great space, and great staff. read more

This has always been our favorite place as locals. It's also the crowd pleaser when visitors come to down. If I could give it 15 stars I would - we have been here twice this weekend with my grandparents. The bartender - Ryan was so kind the first time we came in, asking where we they were from, helping pick our drinks, etc. We came in the next day and he remembered us instantly, asking how the trip was going and suggesting other drinks to try. He remembered one member of our group drank N/A beer and suggested a different one to try. My grandma (Miss Klutzy) spilled her drink before even taking a sip and he not only rushed over to help with the mess but also replaced her drink for her. The staff here has always been kind, but the experience Ryan gave us was above and beyond. We love the beer, the food, the employees, all of it. Sat at a table indoors, near the bingo table, we were so excited to play bingo...then we shift the table a tiny bit and it looks like it has a loose leg part and the table tilted and spilled my husband drink. My purse fell on the floor as well as my phone and got drenched. The speaker on my phone got wet:( they didn't apologize nor offer new paper bingo, not anything.... they just cleaned it up as if it was normal and lady ignored us as we switched tables near it. This sucked so bad I wanted to go home so bad after that but unfortunately ordered food so we waited and it was ok, Anamoly burger sucked (as mentioned in other reviews too) and the "elote fries" didn't taste authentic. I wouldn't come here again honestly. wish they could've done something to make it better but we sucked it up until we finished out drinks and partly food and went home. 8.2/10 - the brews were very good, food is absolutely excellent. We have been wanting to come here for years but we have a dog, and now kids, so today was our first experience. New location allows both. Could be a 9/10 but they relegate families and dogs to a 100sq foot corner that is full sun. The rules are also a little on the nose - in bham every brewery is kid and dog friendly so we aren't used to whatever this is. Put some shade on that corner and let families be, then I'll come back. As it stands I'll stay to naked river and Chattanooga brewing co. Even saw a server get on to a mom for kids doing kid things. They weren't disruptive at all. It's honestly a little much. Oddstory has the nicest atmosphere and decor. Very cool plant shelves. Nice indoor/outdoor seating options - fully indoor tables, fully outdoor tables, and then there are bars that are half indoor, half outdoor. Those were my favorites! We sat with my dog on the outdoors half and he had a blast greeting people as they walked by. The staff was friendly. Beers were good, and there was even a seltzer availably though I did wish there were more than one non-beer option available. The pizza is $18 each and pretty large! I liked the plain cheese best. Oddstory is our new favorite brewery!!! They are super dog-friendly and have more than just beer so that everyone can enjoy a drink. You order in two lines as you walk in. Your dog can be in line with you as your order. If you don't have a dog, then there is a gorgeous plant-filled lounge to the left or tables in front of the lines you may sit. If you like sitting outside, then walk through and check out their massive outdoor area. There are two covered patio areas. Ours had heaters, a lawn with chairs and tables, three fire pits with chairs, a stage, and a cornhole section. There is a bar outside too, but it wasn't open the whole time we were there. I enjoyed the blonde Golden Blackbird beer while my hubby happily sipped the Main St. Mule. If you are not a drinker, they have two mocktails, a mule and Paloma. If you prefer wine, they have Botta Box wine for you. When you need water, there is a water station, so you don't have to wait in line to hydrate. Outside is also where you will find Anomaly, their window restaurant. We devoured the delicious chicken sandwich with poutine fries. It was so good, but there had a ton of options we wanted to try, so I guess we will have to come back. Oddstory had a good vibe, and we will be back. read more

We visited their original location several years ago and when we came through Chattanooga recently we got to visit their new location and was not disappointed. Wow! First there's always parking. Free parking. Which is an anomaly for this city. So grab the friends and kids and go visit their new location. Plenty of drinks for everyone with a nice variety of beers and mixed cocktails. You can sit at the bar, grab a table outside or sit inside in their swanky hipster lounge area. Come hungry because the in-house walk up kitchen is amazing. Probably the best bar food one can have hands down. So even if you don't drink alcohol it's worth checking out their food options.
