On Yelp and in the maps it said this place was a brewery. However, did not find this to be a true brewery with their own beers. Instead it had many delicious beers from some of the best local ga breweries and good out of state ones. They also had wind and other drinks for sale. I tried my usual ipa. I think it was from New York. I liked it, a bit citrusy. Another good thing about the brewery is there is a burger place right next door that will deliver to the brewery. The burger was pretty dang good! Although it is right across the street from a police station, so be responsible out there.

Unique experience for Cleveland TN. Nice little craft beer location in downtown. Fun place to visit with many different varieties of beer and ale.

This base is pretty neat spot, we stopped here after visiting some friends in Cleveland TN and just came for a quick drink before grabbing our meal and there set up is one side variety of beers and the other variety of wines. I know is the lager I had was peanut butter and raspberry which was weird and good lol real nice vibe, I can see this being a good place to get a drink and hang outside with friends. The inside decor is full of information and the outside decor is pretty creative recycling old barrels and using them as tables and also old car. They give you some popcorn with your drink to snack on and also you can try some of the beer before buying it which makes it easy when choosing some weird flavors. All and all I think it's a great place to hang out. FYI just know they do allow smoking outside.

What a fun brewery!!! Great customer service and cute cozy atmosphere!! Must check it out! Great sours!

So several friends and I ended up in Cleveland, TN recently for the "baCON" festival (which ended up being a huge bust) but since we'd all spend 2-5 hours on the road and met in the middle to hang out we all decided to explore this town we'd never been in and luckily found a lot of good food and drink perhaps topped by Mash & Hops. As far as breweries goes this is a small joint but there's lots of great outdoor seating which is shared space with another great establishment next door (The Press). Mash & Hops had a wide selection of beers on tap and between the 6 of us we managed to try a good variety of them--every one of them were great. I'm not sure which/any are brewed in-house but I tried an excellent IPA (Fire Emoji?), a solid wheat ale, and a truly delicious porter that tasted like chocolate, coffee and fruit. Plus they have a great selection of craft beers to go so I was able to get a jump-start on stocking my garage beer fridge for summer. Bonus: we loved the life-sized jenga.

Me and my hubby love coming to Mash & Hops. The beer selection is always top notch as well as the wide variety of take home beers offered! We are always able to sample the beer before making a selection! Cozy atmosphere with games & popcorn offered! Love the outdoor patio as well!

Got a chance to pop into Mash & Hops for my 2nd and 3rd times on my most recent whitewater rafting trip. Super friendly staff and a wonderful selection of craft beers to choose from. Staff remembered me by name the next night and even recommended a few beers that weren't on the list. I will be going back every time I'm in Cleveland!

Sampling a tiny taste of craft beer at Cleveland's newest beer joint

I'm not from Cleveland, but I'm told that a place like Mash & Hops is highly unusual in the area - that some local evangelicals & teetotalers aren't pleased about having a new beer-centric joint in town. As an out-of-towner, though, I found this place to be perfectly charming, the sort you find in quirky small towns or booming big cities. Mash & Hops sells, duh, beer. You can buy a 32oz or 64oz growler & continue to bring it back to M&H to be refilled with whichever on-tap beer you please. While they don't (yet) serve pints due to local ordinances, the owners told us they're working on that & hope to be able to soon/eventually. For now, you can sample up to four of their on-tap beers; they swap them out each month. Beers range from stuff you've heard of, like Guinness & Abita, to craft beers you're probably less familiar with - including some brewed right in Tennessee, like Yazoo. Don't see anything you like on tap, or just want more to choose from? M&H also has a large selection of bottled beers in four-packs & six-packs. The place has an open, fun, welcoming vibe, & the owners are incredibly friendly. They love to talk about beer, & it's clear that they're very knowledgeable about it. Stop on it to find your new favorite beverage & support a great new local business!

During a walk, decided to check it out. Even though they weren't quite open they welcomed us in. Guy behind the counter offered me a couple of samples . I said I would be back and did so on my birthday a few days later for a delicious lunch and a pint. Also, stopped in and filled a couple of growlers. Three times in one week I'm visiting from the West Coast and definitely will see me on next trip. Nice little impressive brewery in good ole Cleveland. Cheers!

Good environment, good friendly staff on first visit. The cheese board we ordered was good. Definitely coming back! Was in a bit of a rush so didn't get the best experience.

Unreal beer selection. Great food options. Friendly staff. And the atmosphere is great as well. Don't miss this little gem in downtown Cleveland.

Walking in , you could see a long bar that you could sit at or just order food at in a designated area and seat yourself around the place. We chose to set up the bar, of course. It kind of ended up being a bad idea because people had no idea about personal boundaries and being in other people's face while they're enjoying their beers and they are standing around ordering food and reaching over you. Ben and I even switch seats, because he is worried about his personal space then I am. Most of the food that was on the menu was barbecue driven but since I had just had poke, I was not hungry. The servers were very friendly when we were ordering and checked in on us often I just wish that they would have kept the line in a more orderly fashion since there was a designated area for ordering specifically.

So, as I was told by the staff, the restaurant portion has been spun off and sold from the brewery itself, so this is my first visit for food, since that has transpired. It is now known as "BUDS & BREWS CHATTANOOGA", part of a larger group out of Nashville, I was told. The bar/brewery looks the same, there is the same helpful staff, but in all honesty, the food just isn't as good. The pulled pork, was okay at best, the fried onion rings, just too greasy, and the chicken wings, just too dry. When first opened NR was the first microbrewery to prepare and offer their own food, and the bbq was stellar, but I cannot make that same statement today. Brews are still good, but if need a good microbrewery in Chattanooga that can offer you good food to go along with that cold one, my recommendation is either Oddstory or Five Wits. I'll continue to come to NR for a beer, as their Moonpie Stout is absolutely one of the best beers you can find in Chattanooga, but like I said if I am hungry too, this will no longer be one of my primary spots to consider.

((back home we have a brewery, called 3rd Planet, with a kid area that is sectioned off with a fence and netting for kids to run around, throw balls, and truly play and have fun while the adults enjoy a minute to relax and unwind.)) we got lucky and it happened to be bingo night! that was such a fun time with my family. it was a packed house i'm guessing because of bingo night. the swag shop has plenty of options and i got a pint glass for only $7 to remember this great vacation in chattanooga:)

There's plenty of parking nearby so you don't have to walk far. This neat beer bar reminds me of the crowler shops that you used to find around Atlanta, with around 30 taps containing about a thrid local beer, so you can sample several local breweries without visiting each one (they're mostly not too near each other so this is very convenient). The taproom "beertender" seemed to be fairly knowledgeable regarding the various offerings - there's also a convenient list highlighting the different beers with style notes. We sat at the bar and were able to bring in some food from the nearby restaurants (I grabbed some wings at the nearby Marthie Ann's which were excellent). To drink I tried Hoptown's own Orange Mango Wheat - a somewhat basic wheat beer with hings of sweet tangerine and mango - nothing special. I had a Maine Brewing "Lunch" with the wings which is always a winner - it's an exceptional New England IPA. The U-pick apple experience was a blast, and the orchard is beautiful, well organized, and family-friendly. We spent hours here between picking apples, browsing the market, and sampling drinks. There is an incredible selection of local products, baked goods, jams, cider, wine, fresh produce, gifts, and souvenirs. Everything looked fresh and high quality, although many of the items are definitely on the pricey side. We also tried both the hard cider and wine flights, which were reasonably priced and a fun way to sample several of their offerings before deciding what to take home. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming, and despite the crowds, the overall operation ran smoothly. Unfortunately, what should have been a five-star experience was overshadowed by one concerning incident. After returning from the U-pick orchard on the tractor, we noticed a family parked a couple of spaces away from us. The adults removed a younger child from the vehicle, and it appeared there may have been another child, approximately four years old, still inside the parked vehicle. We fully recognize the seriousness of making that assumption and cannot say with certainty what the circumstances were. However, with temperatures well above 90 degrees, we felt it was far better to report what we observed than ignore a situation that could potentially put a child at risk. What disappointed us most was the response. We informed staff of our concern, yet there seemed to be little to no sense of urgency. Even if it ultimately turned out to be a misunderstanding, I would have expected someone to immediately check on the situation or at least acknowledge the concern and verify that the child was safe. When it comes to a potential child safety issue, I'd much rather see staff respond quickly to a false alarm than risk overlooking a genuine emergency. Despite that experience, Mercier Orchards is still a wonderful destination. The U-pick experience, shopping, cider and wine tastings, and overall atmosphere make it a place I'd recommend to anyone visiting the Blue Ridge area. My hope is simply that management reinforces the importance of treating potential safety concerns with the urgency they deserve. Had it not been for that interaction, this easily would have been a five-star review.
