First things first -- get ready for a drive. This place is not just "down the street." It's a journey. But let me be very clear: it is 100% worth it. From the moment you arrive, you can tell Mercier Orchards is something special. There is so much packed into this one location that it almost feels like a small village built around apples and everything that comes with them. Inside the main store, the selection is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible -- home goods, gifts, jams, jellies, preserves, baking mixes, sauces, butters, ciders... anything and everything apple-related, plus plenty of other fruit-based goodies. It's the kind of place where you say "I'm just going to browse" and then walk out with bags of stuff you didn't know you needed. Then there's the bakery. Seven lines. All long. And all moving surprisingly well. I eventually stepped out of line after about 15 minutes, but not before getting a solid look at the pastries, pies, breads, and desserts -- everything looked incredible. Even without buying anything that round, the bakery alone is worth the stop. Now let's talk about the apple picking experience -- because this is where the magic really happens. Riding out on a trailer attached to a tractor felt like something straight out of a fall movie. The views, the air, the vibe -- it's peaceful, exciting, and nostalgic all at the same time. The apples change with the season, and the ones we picked were delicious and lasted a long time. No pesticides, just straight calcium. Fresh, crisp, and perfect. And yes... get a bag or three like I did. You're going to want them. The entire place also makes for amazing photo opportunities. Whether it's the orchard, the tractor ride, the store, or the scenery -- this is one of those spots where your camera roll is guaranteed to fill up. The only negative moment of the day happened when I went to grab some cider and one of the guys behind the counter completely ignored me. I actually had to call him out -- like, "Did you not see me standing here?" Not great. But that one interaction couldn't even come close to outweighing everything else this place offers. Bottom line: If you're anywhere in the area -- or even thinking about making a day trip -- you absolutely have to go. It's a little off the beaten path, so I don't expect most people to just "stumble" upon it... but if you plan it, you won't regret it. This is an experience, not just a stop. read more

We went to Mercier Orchards because it was recommended to us for their fried fruit pies. We sampled them but didn't purchase only because we bought so many other things. We enjoyed a cider flight and wine flight on the outside deck so our dog could be with us. The ciders were all very good but the wines tasted a bit like cough syrup. We did purchase 2 six packs of the cider. We also purchased the chicken pecan salad with a loaf of garlic sour dough to eat along with our flights. Sour dough was missing the garlic cloves because we did not taste any garlic flavor. We also couldn't resist the apple cider donuts. They were delicious! The women at the bakery counter were very friendly and offered several samples to temp us to purchase. It worked! One thing that would have made our visit better would be to have the outside patio with a view of the orchard or vineyard instead of the dusty parking lot. read more

That's a lovely place. Free to enter, they do have an paid tour by truck. I never saw or thought they had that variety of apples and the good thing? You can try before buy. Man oh man. This is a heck of a spot! This is a family owned apple farm that has done a wonderful job of bringing farm to table on their products and foods. A coworker of mine in Nashville told me about Mercier and how he and his family make a trip down every fall. Now I know why - this place is awesome! Having grown up in Michigan, there were apple orchards everywhere. Very difficult to find in the Nashville area. So glad I listed to you John! It's huge. The parking is plentiful and well organized for how slammed they get. They have everything from classic cider and donuts to other fresh baked goods, to local honey and homemade pickles, to produce and salsas, to seasonal decor and more. Lines move quick! We came back the very next day! The absolute BEST time and a great ending to our trip was coming back in for apple picking. The farm is just beautiful! You head out back towards the red tent to Apple pick. It's $15 per person which includes 1 bag for apples. You can buy additional bags for $10 each. You ride a tractor wagon up to the orchard to pick. Once there, they let you roam free for picking at the designated trees. So much fun. The staff was super friendly and we so enjoyed our visit. You can also eat as many apples as you want while picking also. And there's no time limit, just when you had enough head back to the pickup area. After picking, we went inside to browse some more. I got more pastries and some cookies and sourdough bread. Let me tell you, that bread and the cookies were absolutely delicious. I also got an apple cider slush for the road. read more

What an amazing stop in the Blue Ridge. Unfortunately we missed Apple picking. But the store is amazing. There is something for everyone! The staff is friendly and the apple cider is delicious. We loved the apple fritters as well. We went in on a Saturday at 11 AM and it was packed. They have carts as well as baskets to shop around the store. Everyone I interacted with was happy. They have tables to sit down at and bathrooms. Establishment is dog friendly so be aware of that. We love dogs though! My family came up to the Blue Ridge area in 2023 and again this year (2025) for a family reunion. We went to pick apples both times and really had the best experience! I have friends who have picked here, and my husband's cousin comes to buy their apples for her bakery in Tellico Plains, TN. They do live up to the hype! You park upon arrival and head over to the red tents where they have the tractor ride pick up to the orchards. Wear closed toed shoes you don't mind getting dirty and bring water! They provide a bag per ticket and you can get an additional bag for $10. We paid about $45 for the 3 of us this time. At the orchards they give you more info on what varieties are available and where you are allowed to pick. Usually you have to walk a bit to find the trees that haven't been picked through. We picked ambrosia and Granny Smith apples. Even though some didn't look very appealing, they tasted absolutely divine! You're allowed to eat your fill while picking, and we enjoyed munching on apples along the way. My son found an apple the size of a grapefruit! Afterwards we checked out the petting zoo by the market. The market itself is loaded with goodies to buy and take home. We would recommend making Mercier Orchards a fall family tradition! read more

We came here as it was on my wife's bucket list. When we walked in, it was slammed. We walked around their shopping center. We tasted their sparkling ciders, apple, apple blackberry and apple grape. We then tried the apple cider slushy. We liked them all and bought a slushy and bought a can of apple cider with grade. We then went to the bakery and got an apple cider donut, fritter, apple pie fresh out of the oven and a coconut cream pie. The donut was a bit dry. Good but nothing to write home about. The fritter I thought was very good. The apple pie was excellent and the coconut cream was also very good. We then tried to go to the orchard to go picking. It's $15 dollars per person to go picking which we only wanted an apple since we were heading to the airport. We didnt do it. We then got in line to pay and my god was it slammed. We sat in line over 30 minutes. Come to find out, there were other lanes open but the workers aren't calling people over and no one is paying attention. We have a house a Murphy and i've been coming to Mercier for years. I can't believe I'm just reviewing it now! Such a great stop, we love the cider and baked goods. My family and I are spending the week in Blue Ridge and of course had to stop by Mercier Orchards which was about 5 minutes from our cabin in the mountains. This place is huge and so inviting. My sister and I even did a hard cider tasting. My parents loved the store as it has such a huge variety of fresh produce and baked goods. We even did an apple tasting, and picked up a bag of cosmo apples after tasting a sample slice. I wish that the apple orchards or the U-Pick was open as it would've been such a perfect touch to our trip. We got so many goodies from apple butter, apple cider donuts, fire roasted salsa, jellies, and more. I will definitely be back during the U-Pick season in the earlier part of fall. read more

First time apple picking and I must say!!! 10/10 experience. Not only is it a beautiful orchard, the apple picking is so reasonably priced. $15 per person for a half "peck". You get a tractor ride to the orchard, unlimited picking time, and a ride back to the store. Just coming to shop and take in the sights is a whole experience even if you aren't picking. The sweet gentleman at the cider sampling station told us all about the prep for cider versus sparkling cider etc. You can sample apple cider donuts and fresh apples! This is definitely a cute stop when visiting North Georgia. They have so much from home decor, foods, kitchen utensils, apples, and a beautiful pond to walk around. I loved every thing about it. Is this touristy? Most definitely! But does everyone still love it and with good reason? 100%. This was our second visit and although we were going to pass this time around, a local actually specifically told us to go back and try the ciders. We're not much for ciders because they're so sweet, but absolutely fell in love with the 'Adele' variety, which was so perfectly balanced, light, crisp and refreshing. We didn't go picking here but we did buy a sack of their famous evercrisps and wow...I don't think I've had a better apple in my life! It got a little crowded but we still had fun. Stopped by here to try out their cider options, but was met with a pretty limited menu. The four options I did try were delicious though! It's a bit hard to find seating to try your cider, but I believe they are trying to expand the area. The staff at the counter were a little short and rude with customers, but the guy with the blacked out arm tattoo cutting up apple slices for people to try was delightful! I didn't get his name, but he's a real treasure to this place! He really made sure to talk with every person who wanted a sample and was patient when speaking with customers that had a hard time hearing. This is the must stop spot; it's very large and tons of things with which to engage from pony rides and tours to jams and pies! We always stop to get the fried pies which are superb, and snag apples if we can. I didn't do much research prior to visiting. I was slightly overdressed because I thought I was visiting a winery that allowed me to sample wine with a view for cute optics. Not really - It's more of a marketplace with a lot of local items that they produce like cider, apple jam, pastries, etc. I tried the apple and the sweet potato pastry pastry, and it was yummy. I also purchased the apple jam spread and it's ok. Not as sweet as I would like, but maybe that's a good thing since I'm trying to eat like an adult. Customer service was decent, we didn't really have any guidance for the whats and whereWhen we arrived around 3, it was loud and crowded. We took a stroll outside after they closed, and we were able to really take in the beauty of the vineyard. It's so beautiful and relaxing. They had a huge selection of ciders (alcoholic and not) and wines. Also the ciders bar not by the alcoholic stuff had a slushy with ice cream and it was so delicious. The bakery was also great. Some of the fruits and fresh produce are great, theirs a tasting area for peaches. However their allot of tourist traps here, you'll think everything sold here is great but not so. Their apple cider donuts are ok, but some of their packaged stuff is a bit off. Their Manos pita chips are terrible, their goateats sweet potato chips are horrible, super salty, terrible, however their sour cream blueberry loaf is pretty good as well as their coconut pecan cookies , and I love their apple cider.
