Cider flight: Ellijay Apple, Wild Blue, Pumpkin Spice, and Pink Lady
Kyja W.

Charming little cider house! After a day at the Apple Festival 15 minutes down the road, and apple picking at BJ Reece Orchards across the street, my friends, my fiancé, and I decided to come in and enjoy some ciders before hitting the road back home. The parking lot is spacious but fills up quite fast surprisingly. We parked and entered the building. The ambiance is country and casual. It feels like a fun and wholesome place, with games like corn hole outside. Service was welcoming, friendly, and kind! They made conversation with us instead of just pushing us through, which was refreshing. My friend and her husband ordered a cider flight to share, as did my fiancé and I. Our Cider flight was: Ellijay Apple, Wild Blue, Pumpkin Spice, and Pink Lady. My favorite was probably the Ellijay Apple, which tasted classic. My fiancé loved the Wild Blue. The blueberry flavor really shined through. There were a couple good trucks on site, so my fiancé got us a few treats to share: a pretzel with cheese dip, French fries, and fried mushrooms. The food was just okay, but the ciders were tasty. We really enjoyed our time here! Perfect double date spot! On our way out, we decided to get a bottle of the Wild Blue Cider to take home! It came in the cutest bottle.

Loved our visit here today!!! Sonya was so informative and caring about our choices!! We loved our flight choices ; Carmel Apple, Frostbite , apple pie, GA peach! Bought Frost Bite & Carmel apple to take home! We had a great time with our son & d/in/love and grandbaby!

Fun outdoor activities and entertainment for kids. Large indoor area with lots of seating available.

This was our 2nd trip to Ellijay and we put coming back here at the top of our list! LOVE the cider selection and also the newest addition of cider on tap for the kids. As a family of 7, this is such a fun, family friendly place to visit. We personally enjoy the flights to try them all. They also have snacks available for purchase which is great when you've had a few ciders. The staff is super friendly and personable- thanked us for stopping by and invited us back. Friendly to the children as well. Got a bottle to go for us and a pack of regular cider to go for the kids. Can't wait to come back again!

Incredible vibe both inside and outside (both are dog friendly!) with very hospitable bartenders. Our kids play games under the shelter and local live music is a great touch. All the ciders are stellar and the food trucks serve delicious fare. A must stop in Georgia mountains!

This is a good cidery. Lots of great choices. The pourer recommended Frostbite as the number one seller. It did not disappoint. The Reeces Reserve a bourbon barrel aged cider was my personal favorite and would go great with a cigar. As a beer and bourbon guy who occasionally delves into wines and ciders this place did not disappoint. Oh yeah live music on the patio. We were here on a Friday afternoon.

After a lovely afternoon of picking apples and purchasing baked goods, we went across the street to the lovely cidery. Let me tell you, I am a cider girl through and through, so I was so excited to visit a place dedicated to a variety of ciders. And Reeces was an absolute vibe. They had live music, plenty of open seating, and games to play while enjoying your time. On to the drinks! Reeces has a great variety of ciders, ranging from sweet to dry, even featuring some stronger ciders replicating IPA and whiskey flavors. We tried a flight with the Drops of Jupiter, Granny Smith, Frostbite, and the Frosted Cranberry. The Frostbite was so good I purchased a pack to take home. We didn't end up getting any food, but there was a food truck parked out front that was bustling with business. The staff was really friendly and let us try a few samples as well. If you're looking for a way to enhance your fall festivities or enjoy the vibes out of season, this is the place to go!

We were looking for cider places in the area while on vacation. This was recommended as one of the top places to go for cider. When we pulled up, we were amazed by how nice and big the place was. The orchards and market are across the street. There is plenty of parking, seating, and games to play. I knew I wanted a flight, and they have a large amount of ciders to choose from. I had the woman working the front tell me about some of the ciders, then chose the original, the apple pie, the caramel apple, and the Reece's reserve. My favorites were the apple pie and the caramel apple, and I ended up buying a pack of the apple pie ciders to take home with us. I also bought a new sweatshirt that they had come out with. We sat outside and enjoyed our ciders and ended up ordering another round of ciders. We had fun and relaxed. We drove past on another day and they were packed with food trucks out front. They have delicious ciders and a relaxing atmosphere.

Everything here was fantastic. The space itself is great and the staff was super friendly. Frostbite was my favorite, so we had to get some cans to take home. The only downfall is that I just don't live close enough.

Great place with some amazing ciders! The staff were so lovely and helpful as we were trying to pick out what we wanted to try! Ended up with a few flights and honestly loved everything! We got lucky with a local donut pop up and a German food truck the day we visited. Both were amazing and the people running them were top notch! The ambiance of the cider house was also lovely. Tons of space to spread out and if you don't want to be in the mix of love music you can pick a spot away from it.

Ouu la la!! All of rhe flavors are so good! Brandon is the best bartender and Batman helped with best costume!

We went to Reeves Cider and have a great time picking apples. We followed the crowd and ended up parking on the opposite side of the farm but I appreciated the sheriff guiding traffic to allow us to cross over. We started with an apple slush and it was delicious and refreshing. The entire retail space was buzzing and it smelled of fresh kettle corn. We purchased some cider in the half gallon to take home in addition to the donuts. The donuts were okay. The main attraction was picking fresh apples off the tree. The Rome Beauty were available and we purchased a bag to fill in the apples we picked. We were curious about a September Wonder variety of apple but it wasn't available for picking. We ended up purchasing a bag of September Wonder and some Granny Smith as well. We also went briefly to put the resident cow and goat. It was a great Saturday trip!

Peach & apple pie from across the street!

Reese's Cidery is everything you hope for in a mountain escape--relaxing, charming, and seriously delicious. Tucked away in a beautiful spot with rolling hills and shaded picnic areas, this cidery offers the perfect blend of laid-back vibes and craft quality, that quite literally brings us to tears. The cider itself? Phenomenal. Each variety we tried was crisp, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether you lean dry, sweet, or spicy, there's something on the flight board for you. (Highly recommend the honey ginger and the peach-infused seasonal--both were standouts!) The staff were warm, welcoming, and super knowledgeable. You can tell they love what they do and are proud of their craft. Bonus: the tasting room has that cozy-meets-modern feel that makes you want to stay a while. We came with a group as part of a mountain weekend getaway and it ended up being one of our favorite stops. Plenty of shaded seating, great photo ops, and a laid-back setting that's perfect for sipping and catching up. If you're anywhere near the area, Reese's Cidery is a must-visit. We'll be talking about this spot and their cider for a long time!

Outside. Live music on the left and plenty of seating with no shortage of bars!

Outside it has some beautiful views worth stopping for a photo and stopping at the bakery inside for some fried pies and cider donuts are a must! The fried pies were okay but the Cider Donuts are a show stopper. They also have tons of other things like fruits and veggies, toys, books, figurines, wine and more!

First things first -- get ready for a drive. This place is…read morenot just "down the street." It's a journey. But let me be very clear: it is 100% worth it. From the moment you arrive, you can tell Mercier Orchards is something special. There is so much packed into this one location that it almost feels like a small village built around apples and everything that comes with them. Inside the main store, the selection is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible -- home goods, gifts, jams, jellies, preserves, baking mixes, sauces, butters, ciders... anything and everything apple-related, plus plenty of other fruit-based goodies. It's the kind of place where you say "I'm just going to browse" and then walk out with bags of stuff you didn't know you needed. Then there's the bakery. Seven lines. All long. And all moving surprisingly well. I eventually stepped out of line after about 15 minutes, but not before getting a solid look at the pastries, pies, breads, and desserts -- everything looked incredible. Even without buying anything that round, the bakery alone is worth the stop. Now let's talk about the apple picking experience -- because this is where the magic really happens. Riding out on a trailer attached to a tractor felt like something straight out of a fall movie. The views, the air, the vibe -- it's peaceful, exciting, and nostalgic all at the same time. The apples change with the season, and the ones we picked were delicious and lasted a long time. No pesticides, just straight calcium. Fresh, crisp, and perfect. And yes... get a bag or three like I did. You're going to want them. The entire place also makes for amazing photo opportunities. Whether it's the orchard, the tractor ride, the store, or the scenery -- this is one of those spots where your camera roll is guaranteed to fill up. The only negative moment of the day happened when I went to grab some cider and one of the guys behind the counter completely ignored me. I actually had to call him out -- like, "Did you not see me standing here?" Not great. But that one interaction couldn't even come close to outweighing everything else this place offers. Bottom line: If you're anywhere in the area -- or even thinking about making a day trip -- you absolutely have to go. It's a little off the beaten path, so I don't expect most people to just "stumble" upon it... but if you plan it, you won't regret it. This is an experience, not just a stop.
