Mixed feelings on this place. The beertender was super friendly and educated about the beer. The place is intimate with most of the inside taken up with the equipment and bar. There's the bar, a few high top tables, and a nice long picnic table for communal drinking. There are plenty of tables outside. The beer flight I had didn't really have anything that was exceptional. I was told some Germans thought their version of an Oktoberfest was good, but not in my opinion (although I am not German, I do drink a lot of German beer). The Mom-in-Law really liked the Irish red ale (which the beertender admitted was more of a scotch ale). The Lanier Lager and the stout were probably the best of the bunch. I think the beer is still good enough to come hang out and check out Fergus and Hamish, the cows. read more

So it's definitely a small brewery with a local feel. We stopped in late Friday and were two of only 6 people there. The place is great though and the beer tender was awesome. Had great conversation with her and some of the local folks while I enjoyed a good sampling of their menu. It's not a huge selection, but what they have is quality. Probably one of the better Irish Reds I've had Their Porter was real good too, not too thin and watery like so many are. We even went back Saturday after lunch for another beer and to see their mascots, two highland cows! The only reason this isn't a five star review is because they were out of so many beers the day we went, and we traveled quite a ways to be there. The service was good. The guy working was friendly and social. The facility was clean and welcoming. Be sure to go look at the cows! read more

Staying at the Limelight Inn and right across the street is this beauty. Great beer and great people. Sarah behind the bar was super fun. Mr David shared his newly, almost finished Irish Ale with us. That favor pattern was excellent. The atmosphere was just want to want in a brewery. Unfortunately, we were visiting so we won't be back soon-but we will be back! read more

My wife and I shared a flight of beers. It was such a solid experience. The ambiance is a good vibe super chill and laid back. They grow all their own hopes and stuff they use in their beers like the strawberries. They even have cows! My wife shared how much she loves cows and the owner took time to bring the cows around so we could see em. The owner told us about how the brewery started and all they were doing in the community - this place definitely deserves supporting. They are all so kind !! read more

Passed by many times and decided to stop this time. The place was nice! Rustic yet chic. Beertender was friendly and helpful. Wife and I both had a flight. I had 4 beers and 1 seltzer. I drink a lot of beer and also make my own. I will say all were drinkable but nothing tasted remarkable. I've had better and worse. I have no reason to go back unless there is an entertainer I want to see. If you're passing by it's worth a try. read more

A great new find here in Dahlonega. If you're looking for casual, laid back atmosphere with a ton of personality, this is your spot. Oh, and the beer is awesome as well. Brand new brewery half way between my moms and mother-in-laws houses. Opened just days before we visited and loved it. The owner/brewmaster tended to us and was amazing. There was outdoor areas that will be great for spring-fall seasons. TVs. Only downside, and was probably a positive long term, they were already out of several of their beer options. Next time we're in north Georgia we'll be making a second trip to try more of their beers. read more

Gem of a start-up craft brewery ideally located just outside of Dahlonega. Still in the developing stage with plans of live music and food trucks. Around 10 beers on tap. Friendly owner and wife team. If you want a good pint in a peaceful setting -- and want to avoid the overpacked tourist Dahlonega bars -- stop in at 52 West Brewery. Family friendly. I loved this place. Great beer and the folks that work there are so friendly. Comfortable seating inside and out. Dogs are welcome (I think), but only outside. They have two covered patios and music inside and out. I love the tables and benches inside. I missed Trivia night, which I guess was Thursday. I'll be back with some friends on a weekend.
