We happened to come across The brewery passing through Blue Ridge on Thanksgiving weekend. With that being said, when I do check out a new brewery, I am a bit more critical. RockSolid Brewing is indeed rock solid when it comes to its beers. While there were no real standouts, they were all easy to drink and enjoyable. The Linger Longer Lager was crisp and clean, but lacked some depth. The Beez Knees was a very easy to drink blond ale. Phenomena was a very decent IPA. My favorite beer of this visit was the Summer of The Cicada shandy, a tasty wheat beer and lemonade brew. The brewery is big and fairly spartan and could benefit from a makeover. Service was great and super friendly. Great place to hang out if your hanging out in Ball Ground.

I was told some Germans thought their version of an Oktoberfest was good, but not in my opinion (although I am not German, I do drink a lot of German beer). The Mom-in-Law really liked the Irish red ale (which the beertender admitted was more of a scotch ale). The Lanier Lager and the stout were probably the best of the bunch. Because we were going to dinner in about an hour, we did not order any food. For the ladies... the bathroom was spotless, and each stall is its own room. this bar is an indoor outdoor bar with ample amount of seating, very high ceilings, very spacious... And you can bring your dog! They even have doggy treats on the bar! we really enjoyed our visit to this Canton, Georgia establishment, and we absolutely plan to go again. The surrounding area is a small shopping square with a lot of fun shops to peruse before or after your meal. Have a very safe journey and make a lot of memories!

It was cooked properly and had good flavor. The lettuce leaf under it was different; I think I could have done without. The fish came with my choice of two sides and I picked the green beans and the cornbread stuffing. Both were quite salty. The green beans were not very green and overcooked. There were two elbow macaroni mixed in. The cornbread was mushy and covered in gravy. It tasted fine, I just would have preferred more texture. Both beers were very good. I had a sour to start that was like a very tart pink lemonade. The pink color came from blueberries but I'm not sure I detected any blueberry flavor. My second beer was That Coconut Porter and it was mellow and smooth with good coconut flavor and nice dark color. There was lots of street parking and many shops and restaurants in the area. A band began playing in the taproom next to the restaurant at some time. Also a large outdoor space that was full of kids running around playing as I was going home. After relaxing and admiring the venue our host provided us with colored markers to add our names to the wall, which we did. I spoke to one of the founders of the bar who was an avid climber and his brother a surfer, who said the name of brewery Greenline derived from the previous business which was a deli. They restored the space which has some interesting words written on the historic brick walls - the profanity had to be hidden. The bar also had other beer offerings, which we did not try. My talk with Chris St Vrain, revealed how the brothers designed the jackets of their beers: Allenbrook with its rope designs on it and named after a secluded Roswell climbing wall; and Shirtless after his brothers' love of the salt life. We hung out for a short while and felt very refreshed. Nicole and I really enjoyed our time at this bar and hope to be back soon.
