There is something special about this place. Owners that care that you take time out of your week to show up. A staff that wants your experience to be memorable and fun. And an atmosphere that you want to be a part of. Food... Some of the best tacos in North Georgia. And their pop up foods are off the charts from Brunswick Stew to Smash Burgers. Reminds me of my favorite bars in Boone, NC. The regulars are so loyal and the newcomers are always welcome.

Great little place in downtown- Christina is awesome!! Will be back!! They have 6 taps and also have cans and bottles available plus they brew their own beers here!!! The owners so very nice. They even stayed open. Little later than normal for my friend and I. Over all we had a great time and love supporting something that's truly local and giving back to our community.

Ask the Community - Green Line Brewery

They advertise themselves as a brewery. Does anyone know if they actually make beer onsite?

I have asked them when they will repeatedly and they always say soon, soon. I stopped asking.

I used to love going to Torched Hop…read more They had some really cool items on the menu, like tempura avocado, which was amazing. Something I had never even heard of before. They brew their own beer too, so I'd usually try whatever they had on tap when I pulled up. Ambience inside was fire. Super vibey, games around, just a dope spot to be whether you're with friends, your boys, or even taking a girl out. Food was always on point too. Great burgers, great wings... never really missed. Service was always on point as well. Everyone that worked there seemed excited to be there, knew the menu, and was always kind and welcoming. Honestly, thinking about Torched Hop and writing this makes me miss Atlanta.

That is pretty much your two parking options. The place is two levls and is pretty neat. Upstairs is a dining area with a decent amount of seating and a few televisions to watch. I visited here during the olympics and it was nice to be able to watch some of the events. There was a large group that was having a birthday party and they were not the most considerate group. They were, not sitting at their table, standing around, blocking the television and intriguing on nearby table's private space. I ended up moving to another table. My server was friendly enough, but could have been a bit more attentive to my table. On the main level you will find the hostess stand, a hip bar area with seating, an area with some benches and a video game system set up, and a brewery section with a bunch of kegs and brewing vats. It is very picturesque and a really neat area. They serve your typical pub food here. I came for the donut burger, which to my surprise, was only a seasonal item. After absorbing my disappointment and my server laughing, I decided to get the Gobbler sandwich which came with a side of fries. It took about 15 minutes to get my food and I must say, it was just ok. The sandwich lacked flavor and I have had better from Wawa. The fries were equally ok. Nothing to right home about. This seems to be a neat place to meet up with friends and coworkers to get a drink and a bite to eat. I really did not like my experience at this place. The food was ok and even though I know it is somewhat out of their control, the inconsiderate patrons made my visit more uncomfortable than it needed to be.

Big enough for a family and very comfortable. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. Lamp shades over tables are shaped like hops. Very casual, while still pleasing to the eye. We didn't go upstairs, but understand music trivia was going on up there. That's fun. Besides the bar, tables and booths, there is a long high top table that fits a crowd on this lower level. We ordered a selection of appetizers to share. Those gator bites are tasty. A bit more chewing than with many other meats, they were mild in taste and definitely something I'd order again. Fried pickles are usually a crowd pleaser and these have jalapenos mixed in with the pickles so keep an eye out. The pretzel is warm and fluffy. the mustard sauce is sharp and the cheese sauce mild. My favorite was the crab dip. Warm, creamy crab dip with grilled baguette and saltines. Honestly, all the apps were tasty. The beers though. So many. IPA's, porter, brown, ale, I would have tried more but someone has to drive home. Definitely give them a try if you are a beer drinker. I prefer porter and stouts, and they came through for me as well as the other preferences in our group.

We've been regulars for a long time, usually popping in once a week for tacos and a drink, hoping each visit will be "the one" where everything finally clicks. There was a promising stretch when Ian was managing. Food quality went up, service felt dialed in, and HYDE seemed to be finding its footing. Since he left, the experience has slipped into what I'd describe as "depends on the night and the moon phase." Exhibit A: the margaritas. We've waited close to 40 minutes more than once. Not for a complicated chef's cocktail, or something smoked under a glass dome. Just a standard margarita. At the 25 minute mark, you start speculating about whether someone is hand harvesting sea salt in the parking lot. By minute 35, you're convinced they're distilling the tequila in a basement barrel and blessing the limes under a full moon. When your drink shows up later than your patience, it kills the vibe pretty fast. Food is similar. Some days, the tacos are fresh, bright, well seasoned, and plated like someone cared. Other days, they look like they fell apart on the way over and someone just shrugged and sent them anyway. We've also had incorrect orders enough times that sending plates back is basically a standing tradition at this point. Ingredient changes have shown up recently too, like new fries and chips. As longtime customers, it feels like cost cutting, and that's usually a red flag that business has dipped. Swapping ingredients to save a few dollars rarely turns things around. It's more often the first step toward empty seats. Which is the frustrating part, because HYDE truly has potential. The space is cool. The embedded Ceviche concept is unique. The community honestly wants this restaurant to succeed. But it needs stronger leadership, steadier service, and more consistent execution if it wants people to come back the way they used to. We're still rooting for HYDE. Because when the drinks arrive before you age 10 years and the tacos are right, it can hit just right. Bring back the quality, tighten up the service tempo, and deliver consistently, and HYDE could absolutely be the neighborhood spot everyone wants it to be. Until then, we'll keep crossing our fingers... and maybe pre gaming our margaritas at home.
