With that being said, when I do check out a new brewery, I am a bit more critical. RockSolid Brewing is indeed rock solid when it comes to its beers. While there were no real standouts, they were all easy to drink and enjoyable. The Linger Longer Lager was crisp and clean, but lacked some depth. The Beez Knees was a very easy to drink blond ale. Phenomena was a very decent IPA. My favorite beer of this visit was the Summer of The Cicada shandy, a tasty wheat beer and lemonade brew. The brewery is big and fairly spartan and could benefit from a makeover. Service was great and super friendly. Great place to hang out if your hanging out in Ball Ground. read more

We stayed here to enjoy dinner and a couple of cold ones. Glad we had a chance to sample a few. Dogs are welcome and our puppy was given royal treatment with dog biscuits and water, and both hosts came by to pet him! We ordered food at Ball Ground Burger Bus although there are other options and you can certainly bring your own food too. It's totally ok to eat here just don't make a mess. Nicole and I both tried the Bohemian Hazy which looked great but for me could have been a tad more hoppy (perhaps dry hop the recipe a little more?). We enjoyed the local art on the walls and all the activities that this Brewery sets up for locals on nearly each day of the week. I love that it attracts runner with a Humpday 5k! Now that is awesome! Had a nice time here. read more

Who would ever think Ball Ground, GA would have such a good brewery. I mean, this place is killing it. Their New England style IPAs rival the best in the area. This joint is large with tons of seating. Wow they don't serve any food, there are plenty of options right around them that will deliver or are within walking distance for you to grab food and bring it here while you enjoy some of the best beers in a 50 mile radius. Nice little brewery, great location. Staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely glad we drove out from Big Canoe for the evening. Would come back if in the area again. AMAZING beer! It was honestly so delicious and fairly priced. The beer was incredibly fresh and had wonderful flavor. I was very impressed and so was my husband! I had the brite bog and it did not disappoint. A cranberry sour with ginger as well but it tasted like fresh cranberries! My husband had the cupids verse stout which had a delicious chocolate flavor with a deep bold taste. Can't wait to go back :) read more

My husband drove a half hour from Waleska to try this brewery. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes and were pretty much ignored. Meanwhile the bartenders served people after people in line. They told us twice, "we'll be right with you." That never happened. We left. Won't be going back to Rock Solid Brewery. read more

Great idea and great vibe, other than the unpredictable level and type of service and lack of IPA selections. I'm here right now and they have NO IPA ON THE MENU. How does a craft brewery have NO IPA? When they do have IPA they only serve one selection so if you don't like hazy you're screwed. As for the service, do they wait on you here or do you have to go to the bar for service? I'm not sure.... I've been here 8-10 times. On more than one occasion I've come in during relatively slow traffic times and sat on the couch. The 3 or so staff behind the bar or roaming around the place have ignored my presence. On one occasion I waited at least 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and offer to take my order. Most often I have to walk to the bar and request to be served. It's very confusing and not very customer service centric. I'm here now and sat for 10 minutes then finally walked to the bar for a few beers. After returning, a waitress came by the high top next door (twice) and took an order, ignored me, my wife, and all the other surrounding tables (both times). I don't get it... Don't expect much in the way of service and hope they have an IPA on the menu if that's your thing. Also , unless you have 20/20 vision and binoculars good luck reading the menu from further than 10 feet and don't rely on the website for an accurate beer selection. It's not up to date. Stopped in here on a whim on our way through Ball Ground. Absolutely thrilled that we did! We loved the atmosphere and the beers (they even swayed my husband to admit he might actually like IPAs when he has stridently refused to drink them for years). The Blueberry Cheesecake Sour was delightful! The staff was super laid back and accommodating. They seem to be really invested in making Ball Ground a spot on the map to visit in Georgia, and I, for one, am totally here for it! read more

I was visiting family and we were able to go to a new brewery up the road from their house. This place is SO cute.. games, beer and pizza from the food truck up the street. Perfect night and they have a dog too who's super sweet. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town! read more

This place has not been open long and their first beers are good. We tried all 8 of the beers (porter, coffee porter, cream ale, west coast IPA, sour, ale, NE IPA and honey blonde ale). We really enjoyed all of them except for the porter. With our favorites being the Coffee porter and sour. The sanctum porter was just a little thin for us. The other beers tasted great and I would definitely have them again. They have a nice space for people to sit and it is kid and dog friendly. They also have games set out. The staff is super helpful and the service was quick. There is great food options nearby (some even deliver) and you can bring the food here to have while you enjoy your beers. This is a fantastic new brewery, making some great beers. Inside is huge with wide open seating, great for socializing with a lot of friends. Lots of big TVs playing sports but not overpowering. This is a great hangout doing beer right. read more

Second time was not a charm! My last review was during a festival so I cut them a little slack. I return today and I have to say it might have been even worse! You walk into this place it smells like dirty socks there's no music no atmosphere my wife and I walked up to the bar and we're looking at the beers the bartender apparently was a mute he did not ask us what we liked can I help you nothing. It was actually possibly worse than the last experience where the girl just looked at us like a deer in the headlights maybe another mute I don't know. We ordered beer the beer is actually good we sit down enjoy the beer the scent of the brewery was so horrible we just left after the beer that we had. At least they should play some music or try to create some sort of atmosphere this place is like attending a funeral and I am in the waiting room to go in to the viewing and they happen to have Beer. Nice selection of beer on tap and in crowlers for on the go. Locally owned with a very friendly staff. Order food from the local joints downtown, play board games, socialize with friends and family, listen to live music. It's a family friendly environment with the owners truly caring about the community. You will not be disappointed. read more

Unorganized servers. Unfortunately half the experience comes from the servers. Went there while busy but two female servers were rather clueless. Long line and servers created new lines to serve others while ignoring people in line. We left after being ignored at the bar. read more

If you want to find good local beer, try somewhere else, besides Rock Solid and Reformation. Been brewing since 1994. Seems that folks like dystopian atmosphere, dog hair, and no food/crappy service (attitude) better than good beer. It's a tourist trap where most people don't really know what decent beer tastes like. Tried the beer flight of funky/hazy looking beers and all tasted sour and wierd. The positive was they gave me a "brewery tour" in the back. Wow, thanks for the heads up. read more
