The service here is outstanding, and the tranquility and view outside is very pleasant. The other brewery I was going to visit was doing Bingo Night so I came here instead, still as one of my top options to visit. And I am glad I did because I really enjoyed the view and separation from the downtown area. The beers are good, the seltzer option was great, and there were games inside. A great place where families come.

We had been anticipating getting to come to this brewery as soon as we booked our trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains and it did not disappoint! We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and they had live music happening inside and it was just the perfect setting. The beer was delicious and everyone who was working was so nice and friendly. We cannot wait to come back on our next trip!

Once we arrived we were warmly welcomed and offered tastings do we could decide what to order. I'm not a big beer drinker so the tastes were a great way to help me to decide. I ultimately went with a no beer drink lol. The guys in the group got beer flights. We sat outside as the day was very nice.

Stopped by here for a beer on a Saturday afternoon. Impressed with the number of beers on tap. I enjoyed the IPA and my wife enjoyed the light lager. Inside they had music by a local musician. We were on the patio most of the time until the rain started. Our kids were able to enjoy throwing the football around while the parents enjoyed their beer. Dog friendly both inside and outside. They also have a food cart for snacks and light fare.

Visiting the area and exploring the local spots and glad we stopped here! Courteous staff and able to try before you buy . I'm German so Beer or "Bier" is a staple for life, lol. I decided on the Cherry Drank Beer, oh my! Loved it. Be careful the alcohol will sneak up on you. It's like a German Diesel Bier.

We came here on a Tuesday afternoon in November 2023. Small place with inside and outside seating. When we first walked in I thought it felt kind hot and smelled a little. I think they should have had the air blowing a little bit. It was 72 outside felt hot inside. But we got our little beers. My sister got the spiced pumpkin beer. I got the coffee porter. Both were tasty! You can get three sizes. We got the Small for $3.50. We didn't stay long just enough to head in and grab a beer and then head out to Woodstock Georgia. They had lots of fun merchandise to buy I bought a sticker. You can also Get beer to go. I would come again.

Choco Blanco. That is all you need to know about Grumpy Old Men Brewing! While that single beer is the reason I ran down the side of Main Street this past weekend, Grumpy Old Men did have lots to offer outside of this delectable beer! Spent the Birthday weekend in Blue Ridge and upon scouting out our next spot for a beer on Saturday afternoon, Grumpy Old Men popped up and I shrieked with joy and immediately thought back to discovering Choco Blanco at a little beer shop in Smyrna, GA years ago, thinking I would never come across it again...never did I think I would discover the actual spot it is brewed! So, outside of the above beer that I am a clear fan of, Grumpy Old Men Brewing offers a great space to enjoy a variety of tasty drinks. They have a great indoor space with multiple tables and bar seats, along with a cooler filled with packs of beer to take home. They also offer a small variety of packaged snacks to enjoy while onsite. This day they had a great Southern Cajun food truck, so we bellied up to a table with a few beers, fries and some dirty rice eggrolls! If outside is your thing, then they have you covered with plenty of outdoor seating. While we were there, they were hosting afternoon karaoke outside. Beer and a microphone always make for a good time! Overall, really enjoyed our afternoon at Grumpy Old Men! Excited to have found it, and even more excited to go back!

I have been to a lot of breweries but this is one of top five. I walked up and asked the server about two beers. He replied with mix them, we call it a moon pie. It was magic in my mouth. From this point forward I will always ask the Barman what off the menu mixes they have. The vibe was very chill. I wish they had better food than hotdogs. Other than that I cannot recommend this place enough.

Ventured in here with a few other couples after a nice hike in the area. Everybody tried something different and we stayed for a few. Great atmosphere. Beertender was superb, while his parents sat at the bar, interacting with us and having a general overall great time. We highly recommend Grumpy Old Men Brewery for a great place to water your men and your horses. Superb!

Nice place. Good beer. Great people. What more do you want?!?! A little "off the beaten path," but definitely worth the trip.

Not only it was on my birthday in which we celebrated. But our excursion to the mountains for the long weekend was a fantastic time. As you can see through the pictures we really went all the way my dish was as abundance of seafood that you could have with an amazing cioppino sauce that was also soppable with crusty garlic bread. The beverages were on point, they have a great menu of bourbons. Will not disappoint. As a surprise they gave me a flourless chocolate Bundt cake to take home with a candle. Being with the family is always a warm unforgettable experience. There is something to be said about being surrounded by people who care and love so much. I'm in bliss. Until next time ...

For drinks, the Sweater Weather was the clear winner--well-balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The combination of Bulleit rye, La Pommiere Calvados, and sorghum created a smooth, seasonal cocktail with nice depth. The Properly Poached was decent but didn't quite impress in the same way; the Brugal Añejo, pear liqueur, dark wildflower honey, and pink salt made for an interesting profile, though it leaned a bit flat compared to the first cocktail. We started with the broiled sweet crab dip served fondue-style with pita chips, which was a great opener. It was warm, creamy, and rich, with good crab flavor that made it easy to keep going back for more. For entrées, the blackened mahi fish tacos were fresh and flavorful. The mango pico added a nice brightness, and the cilantro crema tied everything together nicely on the corn tortillas. The smash burger was another solid choice--juicy double patties with melted American cheese, crispy onion rings, house sauce, and house-made pickles that added a great tangy crunch. Service was ok waitress took a bit to bring the drinks and then the food took about 30+ minutes luckily we were entertained by talking to locals that we really weren't concerned. Overall, the restaurant delivers a pleasant upscale-casual dining experience with well-executed comfort favorites and creative cocktails. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the crab dip and the Sweater Weather cocktail and the fish tacos those were my overall favorites. Prices are mid range. Note that the restaurant as most restaurants in the Blue Ridge close early.

First things first -- get ready for a drive. This place is…read morenot just "down the street." It's a journey. But let me be very clear: it is 100% worth it. From the moment you arrive, you can tell Mercier Orchards is something special. There is so much packed into this one location that it almost feels like a small village built around apples and everything that comes with them. Inside the main store, the selection is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible -- home goods, gifts, jams, jellies, preserves, baking mixes, sauces, butters, ciders... anything and everything apple-related, plus plenty of other fruit-based goodies. It's the kind of place where you say "I'm just going to browse" and then walk out with bags of stuff you didn't know you needed. Then there's the bakery. Seven lines. All long. And all moving surprisingly well. I eventually stepped out of line after about 15 minutes, but not before getting a solid look at the pastries, pies, breads, and desserts -- everything looked incredible. Even without buying anything that round, the bakery alone is worth the stop. Now let's talk about the apple picking experience -- because this is where the magic really happens. Riding out on a trailer attached to a tractor felt like something straight out of a fall movie. The views, the air, the vibe -- it's peaceful, exciting, and nostalgic all at the same time. The apples change with the season, and the ones we picked were delicious and lasted a long time. No pesticides, just straight calcium. Fresh, crisp, and perfect. And yes... get a bag or three like I did. You're going to want them. The entire place also makes for amazing photo opportunities. Whether it's the orchard, the tractor ride, the store, or the scenery -- this is one of those spots where your camera roll is guaranteed to fill up. The only negative moment of the day happened when I went to grab some cider and one of the guys behind the counter completely ignored me. I actually had to call him out -- like, "Did you not see me standing here?" Not great. But that one interaction couldn't even come close to outweighing everything else this place offers. Bottom line: If you're anywhere in the area -- or even thinking about making a day trip -- you absolutely have to go. It's a little off the beaten path, so I don't expect most people to just "stumble" upon it... but if you plan it, you won't regret it. This is an experience, not just a stop.
