My sister and I tried this spot since it was close by to an event we were going to, and we were pleasantly surprised! We split the cornbread, and the both of us ordered the gnocchi. When we received our food, we nearly gasped at the size of the cornbread because we weren't fully expecting a generous amount. The cornbread was perfectly cooked and was so delicious. We didn't taste any honey though (it tasted like salted butter), which was a shame since we love honey butter, but it still paired well with the cornbread. The gnocchi was insanely good! The gnocchi was cooked well, the rabbit was super tender and seasoned well, and I was surprised by how well the aged balsamic pulled the dish together. I highly recommend this dish. I saw other dishes that were served to other tables that had me salivating too, so I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. We sat at the bar to eat, and the bartenders were all super sweet and funny. This is a must-try spot! read more

Food/drinks: great Service: great Ambiance: cool We went here on a Saturday evening with no wait or large crowd. This is definitely a IYKYK type of place. Such a great low key place with high key vibes. The staff are so cool and pleasant. They have a variety of beers and cocktails for anyone's taste. Best of all, they offer a variety of pour sizes you can order for your beer - Like Starbucks. On this inside, this place looks like an underground cellar from Lord of the Rings. I had a delicious frozen drink with bourbon. Sorry I forgot the name but it was amazing. I'm sure any frozen drink they serve is stellar. I also tried the On the Door beverage that was inspired by the Titanic and made with pistachio. Also, phenomenal. read more

My sister and I came in to eat a quick meal before a show, and I'm so glad we did because OMG the food was insane! I'm still thinking about the gnocchi with rabbit and how it just melted in my mouth. And the cornbread with honey butter...I would go back just for that! We sat at the bar, and the service was great! The place was dimly lit and cozy. I can't wait to go back! read more

Best burger in Atlanta (I've had one burger in Atlanta but it was a VERY good one, in my defense).

Stopped in to kill some time before an appointment; so glad I did as I found a nice gem. To be fair, I didn't have dinner, but just sat at the bar for a beer and some fries. Inside is very cozy, with a bit of a nautical feel. The beer selection was great, and I settled on an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Porter, which was wonderful. It wasn't overly sweet, which is what I liked about it. The fries, oh, the fries! They were about the best fries I've ever had! I can't wait to return to Atlanta so I can spend more time here. read more

Been a while since I've been here. We arrived for lunch shortly after they opened. Server was certainly not very enthusiastic or friendly throughout. Started with a flight, which consists of six 4 oz pours for $15 - and unfortunately, you cannot pick the beers that you want in your pricey flight. Lunch menu was very limited. Sandwich offering was only three choices. I went with the burger ($19) and it was excellent as were the fries. Props for cooking to order and the delicious homemade pickles. Parking can pose some difficulty: it is a small lot and you must get to it from the back in an alleyway-type approach. Pros: food quality & atmosphere Cons: service, price, limited food options read more

Amazing atmosphere, great service friendly and knowledge of menu ingredients and drinks. Octopus was cooked perfect and tender, delicious fermented black bean sauce on the salty side ask for it on the side to taste, famous Brisket club was wow! Perfection, it hits every sensory in flavor and texture. Crusty bread, juicy meat, sauces savory! Enjoyed everything. TY read more

Of all the food we ate in Atlanta, this was by far the best imo. I'm still dreaming about the salad w/ peanuts. The atmosphere also set the meal off, server was on it & very helpful/knowledgeable with beer selections. Thanks again for such a nice time! read more

Atmosphere was charming, service was friendly, beer was cold and the food was yummy. The Eggplant Club Sandwich was delicious. If you are from up North, do not order the pastrami. It was a good sandwich but not true pastrami. The fries were very tasty. read more

Such a hidden gem!! I've been to Little 5 so many times but always driven past this. I came here for a weeknight dinner with a friend. The parking lot is small but we found a spot and were seated almost immediately. I really loved the cozy vibes inside the basement of this Victorian-style house and the menu too felt very farm to table. I also loved the choice of local beers. We got the Wreckinator Dopplebock and a SAVAGE! Brown Porter. Our server was super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations and even let us taste to figure out what we wanted. For food, we had the octopus appetizer, pork schnitzel, a side of mac n cheese, and pork belly. The octopus was so tender and buttery and I liked the bok choy it came on top of. The pork schnitzel was cooked so thinly and crispy and was so yummy. The mac n cheese was so rich and I loved the variety of cheese used in it. The star of the night had to be the pork belly. It was so delicious and the celeriac puree it came on top of was HEAVENLY. I was literally scraping this off the plate. To round out the meal, we had an apple fritter with ice cream which came highly recommended by our server and did not disappoint. Overall, really cool space and I can't wait to come back!!! read more

Located in the basement of an old mansion, the Wrecking Bar is an intimate restaurant, bar and brewpub. The ambiance is definitely English pub in nature and many of the beers fit this style. The food also has that feel with cheese and charcuterie board options, The menu also feels very farm to table in nature. Sat down at the bar and ordered a flight and had a great talk with the bartenders on that night. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about their product. That should go without saying, but you would be surprised how many don't. Unfortunately, I can't rate the food here, as I had already eaten about an hour earlier. But the pork belly, duck pot pie, and trout all sounded wonderful. The person down the bar from me had the Apple Butter grilled cheese and was raving about how wonderful (and unique) it was. As my meal earlier was more basic and marginal, I wish I had read the menu here first. On a subsequent trip, I have to stop again and try some of the food. read more

Food: My friend and I decided to check out Wrecking Bar on a Friday night. We both wanted sandwiches so we ordered the crispy cod sandwich and the apple butter grilled cheese so we could both try both sandwiches. For the sides we ordered fries. Both sandwiches were really good. Especially the grilled cheese it was so flavorful. My friend didn't like the aged cheddar at first bite, but she thought it paired well with the bacon and the apple butter which is made in house. Service: Our server Kyle was very friendly and gave great recommendations when we had questions about the menu. He constantly checked on us & even personally made honey mustard for my friend when she requested some to go with her fries. read more

We had a great meal at Wrecking Bar Brewpub and so much fun with our server Schuyler! We shared an outdoor table and I didn't even go inside to see what it looked like. The patio is tucked into the side of the restaurant in a way that makes you feel like you're sitting on someone's porch- the neighborhood is residential which adds to that feeling. They have interesting beers- my husband enjoyed a whit beer and a "black" beer. I had the gin and tonic. The have a fabulous wine list. The cauliflower is plated weird but was delicious. The mussels were good and the trout was amazing. We also had a gooey chocolate dissertations which paired great with the Tempranillo. We were there for a preconcert dinner. Afterwards we walked to Variety Playhouse (and we had parked at the paid lot behind the theater. It was a perfect evening!! read more

Wrecking Bar continues to be one of our go to restaurants. The staff is always friendly, the beers and cocktails are delicious, and the food doesn't disappoint. We usually grab a spot at the bar for a drink and some food, but most recently on a cool September evening, we opted for the patio to enjoy a slight feeling of fall. I ordered my go to cocktail, The El Camino al Sol and my partner ordered the new cold pale ale which came out a few days earlier. For food, we went "really healthy" and split the pimento cheese and cheese burger with fries. It was delicious and way better than a salad. read more

Met friends for dinner at this place. From the outside it looks like a building about to be renovated, but then you go inside and it looks like an old school tavern in someone's basement. I only had soft pretzels as I had already eaten, but companions had beef and grain bowls they enjoyed. Service was excellent and also had a cool dessert menu. Would definitely go there again, but will eat the next time. read more

Excellent date spot! This gastropub is a true gem. Nestled in the basement of a Victorian mansion, this speakeasy boasts a lot of charm. The beer is all made in house. I tried a porter and it was phenomenal. Definitely lower gravity and not heavy like some darker ales can be. The food is also next level because of the restaurants commitment to farm-to-table. I tried the rainbow trout with risotto and spring onions. The fish was extremely fresh and delicious. The Mac and cheese is also very decadent and the portion is good enough for two. The burgers are also well prepared and generous and cooked as you wish. Overall, a great evening for L5P area. There is onsite and street parking, but during peak rush hour it may be a challenge to find. Hudson grille across the street and up a few steps offers $10 valet until midnight, so as a last resort you could opt to park there. read more

If you're looking for a pup-friendly patio in Little Five Points, you should definitely check out Wrecking Bar Brewpub! It's a really cool basement gastropub in an old Victorian mansion. They have a covered patio for you and your pup to enjoy that offers full table service. Wrecking Bar brews their own beer, carries other craft beer/ciders/cocktails, and offers a great menu of locally sourced food. They have a long list of liquors that they carry. The staff who helped us were super nice. We've been once before and sat at the bar and had a great experience too. We haven't eaten food there but we want to. Wrecking Bar came in like a wrecking ball into my life and is now easily one of my favorite brewpubs in Atlanta. My first time at Wrecking Bar happened to be right before Valentines Day 2021 so they had a special menu to choose from, on top of their usual menu. There was a short wait since we didn't have a reservation but we ordered beers and before taking more than a few sips, were quickly ushered to a small table. The Boyzen the Yard Milkshake IPA was super tasty. I'm a huge fan of milkshake IPAs and this one was tart and fruity and creamy. Definitely recommend! 1/2 dozen oysters - these were on the Valentines Day menu for $11. They were classic PEI choice oysters - super fresh and briny and served with mignonette, cocktail sauce and saltines. Beef Tartare - this dish was also exclusively on the Valentines Day menu. The dish was a dichotomy of elevated versus casual. The sophisticated flavors of the tartare juxtaposed with the paired WB chips worked well. Corn Pups - I was told that the corn pups were a must. And as a HUGE addict of corn dogs, I had to order them. I never knew I had to eat a corn dog in mini lollipop form but now I know must have them whenever I am at Wrecking Bar. Pappardelle - it didn't look like much but the flavors were great. The pasta was fresh and the seafood paired with the sweet garlic butter emulsion was delicious. Wrecking Bar is definitely going to have to be in my future dinner/drinks lineup moving forward! read more

Love love love this place. We quickly became regulars here after our first visit on a whim. This place has some incredible food and amazing, hilarious staff. They have a huge beer selection, which isn't my thing, but the cocktails are always on point. They change up the menu occasionally, so it can be sad to see a favorite is gone, but it's always replaced by something else delicious so that sadness disappears pretty quickly. read more

I would give this 6 stars if I could. Magical ambiance. Seasonal menu - creative cooking that does not veer into the "one ingredient too many" territory of novelty meals. I have never ever witnessed anyone less than thrilled with their order and I have dined with a party of 4 to 15. Veggie friendly. And the beers! My first visit in late September I sampled a bitter that was as close to a pint of Director's I can only get in the UK. The waiter could see I was sampling personal bliss, and he was chuffed. You cannot go wrong here- the best place to gather with friends. One note- you have to drive around to the back to find the pub. The event venue is in the front. So happy to come back to Atlanta and see this landmark home still standing, thoughtfully renovated, and glowing like a jewel of L5Pts. read more

An incredibly delicious meal that was locally sourced, well prepared, and delivered with such genuine, warm service. Some of my family has severe celiac and were able to have a range of delicious options. At no time did they feel uncomfortable expressing their needs to the kind staff. It is in a beautiful old building with a charming but rugged 1900s vibe in the restaurant space. The building is so grand that my niece took an instagram selfie in front lf it. 10/10 will visit again and make it a place I return to when I am next in Atlanta. Thank you all so much. read more

I came to this place 4 years ago when I did the Georgia marathon and came back recently since I moved here. The food is truly foodie food and it is all amazing!!!! I would also add the beer is a solid "good" at least the ipa I had. We choose to eat inside and we were the only ones inside, we just can't stand the flies in GA. I felt pretty safe with mask requirements, social Distancing and a really awesome smelling hand sanitizer.... I really want to know what is i. It besides aloe... smells so good! Some hippy oil I am guessing. Anyway this place brought back great memories of when my husband and I were doing a quest to do a marathon in all 50 states. We will be back soon..... read more

Excellent vibes and service. They have a ton of tables set up outside and it's the perfect place for casual lunch and dinner. Dog friendly and child friendly. Staff was very attentive even though almost all the tables outside were full. For parking, you'll prob find the best luck for free parking by street parking in the nearby neighborhood. We both got the OG Burger, and I got the Double Rainbros Raspberry Sherbet Ale, and a Hot Chocolate, as it was a little chilly out that night. Everything really hit the spot. It was a perfect classic burger, fries were thick and crispy, and the ketchup tasted housemade (unsure if it was), but it had a gritty natural quality to it. The ale was very fruity and bright. The hot chocolate is also worth getting -- it's not as sweet as regular packaged powder hot chocolates, but tasted like it was made with real cacao powder. They have a boozy version of it too. Finally, when it came time to pay, you can just scan a QR code and pay online, which was awesome and hassle free. Would totally come back again as there's many more items I'd like to try! Definitely recommend yall check it out! read more

Great spot for a casual night out. The vibes here are really cool and it feels like a fancy brewery. Very COVID friendly as the tables were all spread apart and the staff all wore masks. The food was way better than I expected. I got the falafel burger with a side of Mac and cheese and I'd definitely order it again next time. The burger had a lot more flavor than falafels typically do and the patty was huge and fills you up. Love the drink menu as well- they had a good assortment of unique beers that I don't normally see at other places. read more

Really cool space. Renovated old building turned into a bar/restaurant. I stopped in with a friend of mine for dinner/drinks. The tables both inside and out were plenty spaced apart. All staff wearing masks and gloves. Lots of cleaning/sanitizing. I got a couple different beers. Our server was happy to get us some samples before having to make a choice, but they also offer pre-made flights. Server checked in on us yet maintained social distancing too. Its been a while since I've gone out during COVID but it didnt feel like a forced situation. Things felt normal again. Every beer that I tasted was good if not great. Its a great local place and you cant find those beers anywhere else. My friend got the burger which was gorgeous and while I only got a taste, can tell you that it was delicious. 10/10 recommend giving them a shot. read more

Still one of my favorite places in ATL, a must do whenever Im in Atlanta. I love everything about this place - the ambiance, the service, the food, the beers, and the drinks. This is a FOR REAL FOR REAL FIVE STARS! I cant think of anything else I could want from this place. FOOD - Everything I have ever gotten has been good but some of this food has been just surpassing outstanding to atmospheric deliciousness. The tartar is just too good. Everyone at the table was in awe. BEER - I prefer the hoppy beers like the Juice Willis but they are doing some great stuff in the wood aged category too. SERVICE - Once I had a bad server here but she was definitely the exception to the rule because normally our server knows everything about the menu and is super helpful. ATMOSPHERE - being in a historic house and the renovations they have done just make it a place I would want to go over and over, whether it is a special occasion with my wife or just a night hanging out with the guys. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! read more

Even though it was loud and super crowded, I thought the food here was great and the service was also very good. I enjoyed the menu - so much to choose from that I wanted to try everything. The service was spectacular. Paul was my waiter and he was top class. I sat outside with my dog and Paul was super accommodating and kind. The ambiance was nice. This venue is actually really amazing and the way they made it COVID friendly was really awesome. (I think they have weddings here too!) I think the beers here are really great, they have so many on tap, and they have a great game room with ping pong tables, TVs, darts, and board games to hang out and drink. Unfortunately, regarding the food, our expectations were not completely met. Came here for date night. Maybe we just came here on an off day, but both burgers were ordered medium and came out well well well done, and we had no opportunity to tell our server as they didn't check on us until they brought the bill. The fries weren't seasoned at all. The Mac n cheese was raved by our server, but tasted store bought. I was hoping it would be a lot more fancy pub fare. The one great thing was the pimento cheese and pickled vegetables, that dish was absolutely delicious! 5 stars. read more
