My wife and I attended NYE dinner here at The White Bull. We parked on the street and were seated promptly. We did have a reservation. The ambiance is very nice. We had the four course NYE special meal and it was delicious. Every course was amazing and flavorful. The service was great as well. It was a great experience and I would be interested in coming back for a regular meal.

Was in town for a conference and this restaurant was recommended by a staff at our hotel. I looked at on yelp and saw all the reviews! Yes we must go there. A quick walk and we arrived, such a cute and welcoming restaurant, we didn't have a reservation but they seated us promptly. After we told our waitress that it was our first time (I think her name is Kindra? She was amazing!) chef Pat came over and greeted us! You can just feel the love he had for cooking so we knew we were at the right place and in for a treat. We asked for recommendations so we started off with the bread and butter (all made fresh, even the butter). A must! Crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, amazing smell of rosemary and the butter, I have no words. We also got the shrimp, another outstanding dish, and the beets and berries (love loved it). For entree we knew we wanted the black spaghetti, and had asked the chef to surprise for the other two pasta dish, one was the CAPPELLETTI (my favorite pasta dish for this trio) and I don't remember the 3rd one which was also delicious. For dessert we were told from the other Pat that his wife was the pastry chef and we must order the biscuit and gravy (lemon ice cream with raspberry sauce), the birds and the bees which is a chocolate dessert (chocolate with hazelnut ganache), and the Pavlov's law. My favorite was the biscuit and gravy, so light and the combination was insane! We had two bottles of wine, everyone was so nice there! Absolutely loved our experience there and had the best food. Highly recommend if your in the area and actually going to stop by tomorrow for a quick dinner before heading to the airport.

The food is such a surprise. So different, beutiful and well planned. Diverse tastes. The bread is homemade and exquisite. Fresh whipped butter and rosemary topped the bread. I'm dreaming of the salad served. Trust me and order it. So fresh, light and delightful. The main course was also well procured and delicious. This is far from our house and parking was a little difficult however I'd rate this top ten of Atl.

first for my gluten free gals - pastas can be made gluten free with their gf pasta + small tweaks, and the chicken dish is gf. The crispy potatoes in the appetizer list don't have breading of any kind BUT are fried in a shared fryer! so as for our visit here last night, I'll start by saying service was great. Our waitress gave me a great description of the red wine choices bc I wasn't familiar with the names/types on the menu other than the cab. She also apologized for the wait when our food came out, but it hadn't even been that long! She was so friendly and really helpful in guiding me thru the menu to pick a safe gf meal. the restaurant itself is beautiful with hardwood everywhere and dim lighting, warm and cozy vibe with close set tables along the walls. for the food, I got the chicken and my husband got the rigatoni. I was a little disappointed with the chicken because the skin was fairly wet/soggy and not crispy like I expected, BUT I have to give major credit for the polenta + broccolini served with it. absolutely the best broccolini I've ever had; it was crispy, salty, served with soft warm garlic. truly chefs kiss! my husband liked his rigatoni a LOT but the only downside was it wasn't hot when it was served, we assumed this was bc the waitress had warned us that the chicken takes a little while so maybe it was sitting while they finished the chicken. 4/5 stars for our experience with both ups and downs. I think id like to give it another try and taste one of their gf pasta dishes

Came here for a 5 course meal with The Tasting Collective. Everything I had was delicious. The rigatoni did not need the sultanas. The trout could have had a more crispy skin. Otherwise, the meal was perfect. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is also simple and beautiful inside. This would be a great place for an intimate dinner, but might be a little too loud for a first date. I will def be back!

Came here from out of town and wanted a nice meal before heading home. I wanted to start off with a Cabernet however their wine selection is very limited but my wonderful bartender and server, Grayson, offered me a taste of two different ones and chose what was closest to my liking. For my appetizer I went with the kale salad which I felt wasn't tender enough for a salad and the dressing was very sparse but was given more when requested. For the entrée I went with the pasta of confit chicken and sweet potato, very light, delicate and quite different from what you see and it was a really nice dish, taste and portion wise. I skipped dessert having been full. The space is a rustic elegant, very nice and as stated the service was incredible.

Excellent happy hour and pasta! I sat at the bar and the bartenders were great. Really excellent food and a great deal if you can make it for happy hour.

After jealously looking at people rave about the White Bull on social media, I am so happy to FINALLY try them myself. My friend and I came here on a Friday night for dinner. We had reservations, but thankfully it wasn't very crowded. Our server (forget her name) was fantastic! She gave great recommendations about the menu and was very patient as we contemplated the menu. We decided to share two starters: the crispy potatoes with garlic aioli and rosemary Parmesan bread with whipped butter. The potatoes were very good, but that bread??!! Jesus, it was amazing! I could have eaten the entire roll by myself lol. For entrees, I ordered the black spaghetti and my friend ordered the half chicken with polenta. The fresh garlic and herbs they used to cook our meals made all of the difference in the flavor. Everything was just perfectly cooked. Surprisingly, I do think the chicken was the star! It was tender, flavored to perfection, and the polenta was like a creamy bed of grits. During my next visit, I want to try a fish or steak entree.

The service was impeccable, the food absolutely top notch and the ambiance divine for a date night! A must stop next time you visit Downtown Decatur. Highly recommend! And it's Michelin rated now! So, that should tell you something about the food and quality. Check it out!

If you want unique flavors in both drink and food you need to come here. I ordered the Cavatelli but more about that later. The bartender Grayson is a master of his craft. I recommend telling him what you like and letting him craft a custom cocktail for you. This is the beginning of being pampered here and I highly recommend this. He made me drinks I have never heard of and with tastes I have not yet experienced. I will post I pic of the ingredients to show you. I ordered their home baked Sfincione bread to start. Spread the butter on this 72 hour bread and you will be absolutely delighted. I took the rest to go for my breakfast with coffee the next morning. The Cavatelli arrived and I loved it. The lamb combined with hazelnuts, horseradish and feta were an absolute pleasure to my taste buds. Lamb, when cooked right is absolutely delicious and you will miss out if you do not try this dish. The manager Scott checked on my often to make sure everything was great, and I really appreciate this type of service that is not found in most restaurants. Bottom line, if you want amazing pampering, great food and drink, it's hard to miss with the White Bull. The rustic lit dining with white brick on one side and and classic pavers one the other balance out the ambiance of this wonderful restaurant. See my pics. Will be back to try other items on the menu and have more pampering and custom drinks!

Enjoyed this restaurant! Tried to go to one down the street but the wait was too long so ended up here. The wine was amazing, I tried a white recommended by our server Matt. I'm glad I tried something new with food as well, I had the rigatoni and it was well made. The decor was also pretty cool, you can tell things were thought through here. Everyone was friendly as well!

We chose this restaurant because spare of the moment and great reviews. Once we arrived we were seated immediately, our waitress Renee was fantastic. Since we were new to the menu, Renee did a great job explaining the menu also giving some great suggestions. Our espresso martinis hit exactly how we wanted it and the food..We had no complaints. Fine dining so that means $$$$$, certainly expensive however food was delicious. We probably will not return because of prices however was a great experience. This restaurant gives me the feeling of that tv show "the bear" after they were established. Food was definitely fun and vibrant. Any suggestions I will have is to lower the prices a bit, other than that I won't take away from 5 stars because food and decor was fantastic.

Stopped in for a drink or two, but stayed a little bit longer for the music and The vibes. I was there on a weekend night, and it was super chill and had a really good performance situation happening on stage. This one is a little bit weird because you have to do certain things to be able to get in. It's not like it's an escape room situation, but at the same time, it's a little active. Not overly active to where you would be taxed when you get there. But you have to go follow some instructions and once you get in it's all gravy! There's a lot of space for table so you can sit in front of the stage or you can sit in the back or the bar is which is also very pristinely kept. Or their ceas behind that. And there's even a bowl of alley somewhere in the cut. It is a really really good spot. The entertainment was on point. They were playing a lot of hits, lot of old school which I appreciate it. Loved it. The drinks were fired. The bartender had a lot of personality and it was super engaging. Just what you want from Superior customer service. I would 101% go back. We snagged an early dinner reservation at 5:15 pm and surprisingly, people were already dining and they just got busier as time went on. We were greeted right away by our wonderful server (forgot her name though) and she asked if it was our first time there and if we were celebrating something. We answered yes to both and they actually brought us complimentary champagne, a sparkling non-alcoholic cider for me because I ordered a zero proof drink. Kimball House is known for their amazing bar program, so my husband ordered a Kimball House served with a side of olives and lemon twist on ice, like what?! I ordered a ginger & honey lime fizz to enjoy. For starters, we also enjoyed Hawaiian rolls, green salad and some oysters for my husband. The rolls and salad came out super fast, but there was quite a wait for our drinks and oysters that I didn't think they were going to come out. The rolls are a must-get here - they're huge and the strawberry preserve it was served with was delicious! The salad was actually split in half, which was a super nice touch and was plenty of serving between two people. We loved the dressing - it was nice and fresh. For our entree, I ordered a trout and my husband ordered the duck breast. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw my plate because I was thinking it would be a plate full of grits, but what was served was the perfect amount because it was quite heavy. The trout by itself was too salty for my taste, but was best eaten with a bite of collards and grits. My husband enjoyed his meal, but wished the duck was cooked a bit more. For dessert, we both enjoyed a Paris Brest. Our server actually put it in twice so we each got one when she meant to only punch in one, but she ended up taking one off from our bill. I was quite shocked that our whole dinner was only around $190, not including tip, which I thought was quite reasonable. We definitely recommend this place for date night or simply for delicious food.

We visited Voss Lounge on Wednesday, April 1, excited for happy hour after seeing their Instagram flyer advertising $5 drinks, small apps, and hookah. Well...that's not exactly what we got. Once we arrived, we were told those $5 specials were actually for Tuesdays--not Wednesdays--and that detail was not clear on Instagram. I was told it was listed on their website, but let's be real...this is 2026--people are checking IG and TikTok, not websites. If you're promoting on social media, it needs to be accurate. We got there around 4:15 PM (happy hour starts at 4), and the place was empty--music wasn't even on yet. My party of four was seated right away, and we ordered drinks, food, and hookah. The lounge itself was beautiful--decked out in red and black with a really nice vibe. I had lemon drops and wings--both were actually really good. No complaints on the food or drink at all. But just know, the wings were not $5 since that special didn't apply that day. Now...the hookah experience? A complete mess. The hookah wasn't $5 either--it was $25 if I recall correctly. The hookah attendant recommended a flavor that was honestly not good at all. When we told her we didn't like it and asked to switch flavors (which we were willing to pay for), she tried to make us purchase a refill instead of simply fixing the issue. We asked to speak to a manager. She went to the back and spoke with someone who I later found out was the owner--but he never came out to address us. That alone didn't sit right with me. Instead, she came back, grabbed the hookah, and walked off. No explanation, no replacement--nothing. It felt like, "We won't charge you, but you're also not getting another one." That whole situation completely turned us off. Now I will give credit where it's due--our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, attentive, and she did her best to take care of us. But overall, between the misleading Instagram promotion, the poor hookah experience, and the lack of management presence...this just wasn't it for me. Giving Voss 2/5 for good food, a beautiful space, and a great waitress Everything else? Needs work. Unfortunately, I won't be back!
