I am in love and they get all stars from me keep up the good work the people was very nice there go Leon"s

Leon's is a new fav in Decatur! We came for a friends birthday and the food was phenomenal! Like every other spot in downtown Decatur, you just have to know your preferred lots/streets for parking in (not sharing my secrets for best parking lol) so definitely give yourself time to park and walk over. Their reservation system was down when we went so we ended up waiting about 20-30 min for a table. I shared their fries bucket for the app and I had the crispy confit chicken for dinner. We ended up paying extra for more sauces and some were a hit like the aoli and the sesame soy, but the hot sauce was just a normal Tabasco like sauce so I didn't think it was worth paying for. I had the crispy chicken confit for my dinner and it was amazing!! No notes!! The pork belly that my fiance got was also super tender and flavorful. Overall it's a nicer restaurant but I'd definitely be back! read more

We got here at about 9:35 pm and they close at 10 pm. Asked if kitchen was open and yes it was! Love places like this that are true to their hours. Our server was really nice and good about giving us time. She also let me try the Sierra Nevada Hazy Little from the east coast. Really appreciated it, gave me a different prospective from the west coast version. Liked the ambiance, food and friendly service. read more

Stopped by Leon's Full Service in Decatur with my family, and we ordered a little bit of everything! My little sister kept it simple with the grilled chicken, fresh raw veggies, fresh lemonade, and ice cream for dessert. She was happy, so that's what matters! We started with the bucket of fries for the table and sampled all the dipping sauces: garlic aioli, sweet chili BBQ, and Diablo. The Diablo wasn't spicy like I expected, but it had really great flavor. The garlic aioli was my personal favorite, while the sweet chili BBQ was the crowd favorite around the table. For my meal, I ordered the blackened burger with bacon and jalapeños, plus the kale Caesar salad. Adding the bacon and jalapeños was definitely the right move! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and incredibly filling. The kale Caesar was much larger than I expected, so keep that in mind if you're ordering it as a side. We also tried the pork belly, which I'd give a 7.5/10. It was good, but it wasn't the standout dish of the meal. For drinks, the Seed Spitter was incredibly fresh and refreshing, and the Strawberry Delight was another solid choice. Overall, Leon's has a relaxed neighborhood vibe with generous portions, flavorful food, and fun sauces to try. I'd definitely come back. Overall rating: 8/10. read more

Loved Leon's at Lunch!!! (Bonus points for alliteration). This was a fabulous lunch option in DT Decatur. To be honest, I'm not sure where else I would have gone for lunch right in/ around the square. Their menu is pretty limited at lunch, but we felt it sufficient given every menu item was a hit! They have very nice covered patio options-- perfect on a NICE day! I can't wait to go back. This would be a great place to meet a friend or colleague for lunch. I'm eager to go back and try it at other times of day (brunch, dinner, etc) See you soon! read more

Disclaimer: this review is about cocktails ONLY. We did not have any food but stopped in for a mid-afternoon day off cocktail. We (as a group) tried four of their craft summer cocktails and they were all winners. The Jean Claude Pandan gets a special shout out for having the best name. I look forward to coming back and updating about the food, but if you're looking for delicious creative cocktails, this place gets them right. read more

They committed fraud by adding a tip I never wrote. A 20 percent tip had already been applied because we were a group of nine. My credit card sent an email asking whether I authorized a 44 percent tip, which is unusual for my payments. I cannot believe a business would add tips without consent. Please be careful and check your charges after eating here if you have already visited. I would never trust a business that adds charges outside my agreement. read more

Leon's is a cool laidback place in downtown Decatur. It's a bit loud at times and the sound echoes, but it's not too bad and still a good date place. They have a delicious and varied cocktail menu. The service is good, very friendly and knowledgeable, my only complaint is that the drink service is a bit slow. Food is great, I've not had anything I didn't like some of my favorites are the delicious burger, the flat iron steak is yummy, poppadews in the apps are great, the muscles and the fry basket with dipping sauces. read more

Came here for a friend's birthday. The inside is really cute love the aesthetic. The service was pretty slow tho, it took almost an hour to get our food and we came on a week day. The Brussels were definitely the best thing on the menu. We both got the burger it was alright but one came out super undercooked even tho we ordered them the same way. read more

Hadn't been here in a while. We sat out on the porch for lunch and it was quite pleasant. Had the burger special with a side of fries. Burger was fine, but a little overcooked and not a lot of flavor from the meat. Wish they had a few more sandwich options for lunch Service was excellent throughout. read more

Whenever we're in the area, Leon's is always an option! We were able to get a table fairly easily on a late Saturday afternoon. We opted for the burger, which never fails. Neither does the service...consistently top notch! read more

My friends and I went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. We were seated in a nice big booth that was tucked between the bar and main seating area. Our server helped each of us pick our cocktails, appetizers, dinner and dessert. Everything was delicious and very reasonable prices. We were already talking about going back as we left for the evening. read more

On Saturday evening I was served a dirty martini with 2 olives. Not only did it have 2 olives, the waitress that brought it to me SLAMMED it down on the table in front of me. And come to think of it, The bartender who purposely and knowingly prepared my drink with two olives took my order with a smirk on his face. People who miscellaneously and intuitionally do things like this get it back tenfold. So be careful. Cheers :-) read more

Love this place! The patio is great with the pups! The staff are so vibey! Feels cozy! Love the chocolate cake and the cucumber cocktails.

The menu is limited. Vegan & vegetarian options are extremely limited. In fact, close to none. Something that stuck out was that there wasn't a single appetizer that interested us. Not one and we almost always get something. Well, my companion anyway. The smoked tuna open faced sandwich and fries were not having a particularly good day. Fries were overcooked and infused with too much oil. The tuna salad was swimming in mayonnaise which diluted the flavour of the smoked tuna. The dominant flavour was celery. Not what the chef was aiming for I'll bet. Everything was salty. The burger is excellent per my companion. He liked the fries which were identical to mine, which goes to show how different people experience things Dessert was a shared peach crisp with vanilla ice cream. Now this was good. My companion felt he should bump his rating to 4. A lovely thought. The dining area is charming enough. Nice energy. Be warned, it's loud even on a Thursday. The acoustics are skewed loud. It's nice like this here. Lends to the overall feel. The patio is lovely and I love that Leon's is dog friendly. Too bad my dog will not see it... The place does have a good playlist! Apparently it depends on what the bartender selects on Spotify. I love that. The service was good and friendly. Accommodating. Prompt and well choreographed between the 3 servers we were fortunate to have. The prices were as expected. I can't say if it was good value because I just can't decide. So it is a 2-pronged rating. I give Leon's a 3 while my companion feels like 3 is too low so 4 is his especially after dessert and the music. He's too easy. We won't return because the menu isn't to our taste. It's not an indictment however. Many people enjoy Leon's very much and look no further than the excellent reviews others have given. read more

Make a reservation. Get a hand crafted cocktail and enjoy. Intimate space, good food, and great service. I never thought I'd rave about bacon & peanut butter but it's a signature app for a reason. Best for smaller groups if eating inside but worth a visit/return visit! read more

I am a fan of Leon's for a few reasons but the top two are the craft cocktails and the service/servers. On this visit, I stopped in for a few bites and to check out the fall cocktail menu. Let's just say, no major disappointments as usual. Now to the important stuff, reviewing what was consumed :) Rotten to the Core: 10/10 Perfect blend of spices and gin for a drink that has a kick but is smooth Beet's Motel: 10/10 Such a creative drink and loved the play on texture with the coffee The Bee's Knee's: 10/10, who doesn't love a honey type of sweet Now for food: Fries with Dipping Sauces (all ranked separately) Fries: 8/10 (average but nice and crispy, long) Garlic Aioli: 8/10 (needs more garlic but still tasty) Diabla: 8/10 (an amazing buffalo style sauce. Would be great on wings) Smoked Tomato Mayo: 10/10 (I HAVE NO WORDS. MUST TRY) Roasted Half Chicken: 7/10 (wish there was more of that Peruvian seasoning or juice) All in all, come to Leon's and meet some of the most unique and sweet staff while having some unique and thoughtfully crafted drinks! *Honorable mention would be the Brussels. Absolutely divine! read more

Adorable indoor/outdoor spot in Decatur. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and hospitable. I love how they change their menu often and run daily specials. We sat in their outdoor area next to a beautiful mural, and started off with some cocktails. Solid cocktail menu. After that we split the ricotta cheese appetizer. Good app, needed a little red or black pepper. Then I ordered the salad and roasted carrots. My gf had the burger and fries. The fries sounded so great on the menu, but were a bit of a bummer. They were uneventful and soggy. I was excited to try all these sauces that accompanied the fries. (The sauces were okay). A little let down with that one, but all and all a great experience. I will definitely come back. read more

Fries and cocktails oh my!! After exploring this beautiful little downtown area we needed just a quick bite before our late reservation for dinner. This has a lovely outdoor seating area where you can people watch and have cocktails. It's really pretty brilliant. Be prepared to have to make a difficult choice on the dipping selection for the fries. There are lots of yummy options. This was an excellent pitstop and if you're looking for a fast friendly place to grab a snack or dinner, definitely check out this place. read more

What a fun & relaxed couple of hours on their patio. Last time we came we were inside. Either is lovely, but the weather was nice so... Took a minute to get someone to acknowledge us, actually had to stop a server who was the SWEETEST & apologized profusely. She took our full order since we were literally so hungry! Wine came first, followed by our appetizer; Peppadews. Cream cheese stuffed peppers with basil. Cream cheese could have had more seasoning, but they were delicious!! Our entrees came- mom got a burger & fries and I (I love meat, but trying to be healthier this year) ordered the Tofu Burger with fries. Fries comes with 2 dipping sauces that are perfect! All staff members were everywhere & backing eachother up. All smiles too. For 2 of us having 1 small appetizer, full lunch meal & 2 glasses of wine was $99 plus tip. WINE is $$$ but a good pour. Oh, and plenty of fur babies today- welcomed in the patio. See pics- highly recommend. read more

I've been here 4-5 Times! The food is always awesome. The staff is actually smile and cares about their work. There was a day where someone got in an accident right next to their restaurant, staff came out offered comfort, water and a place to sit while waiting for 911. This x-'mas they have pictures with Santa and Ben allowed dogs all free of charge. Menu changes often which is awesome and their drink are awesome! Come Try them if you have not ! read more

Don't come if you plan on having a good time! The manager came over and singled out one person in our group and asked them to not laugh so loud?????? They should be thankful we were there spending money on a Saturday night in an otherwise empty restaurant. Cancelled our order and left and will not be returning. Who does that? Who singles out one woman in a group and tries to embarrass her for LAUGHING. We thought he was joking at first but found out very quickly he was serious. read more

Would definitely come here again--location, food, service, atmosphere. I ate calamari and the flat iron steak - both delicious. We had a fun day night at Leon's! It was our first time here but everyone was helpful with questions and suggestions. We enjoyed the decor and vibe. Leon's is in the most walkable city around! There is so much to see and eat in this area as the streets are lined with restaurants. With competition like this it's hard to decide where to go. I literally smelled Leon's and decided that was the spot! It's a pretty big restaurant with multiple outdoor areas and bars inside. The cocktail menu is extensive and has a great variety! All of the food is local and the restaurant prides themselves for being sustainable and supporting the community, how can you not love that?! The Brussels, fresh ricotta, and fries were all so tastey and reasonably priced. If you have the chance, stop in! read more

Party of four for dinner. Parking is free after 6p. That doesn't make it available! Give yourself time to park but no need to rush as reservations are not accepted. Two of us arrived before the other two and we were seated immediately. Our ser server was wonderful. She had recommendations and helped guide our drink and dinner choices. We had (4) rum old fashioneds (excellent choice) a margarita and another drink. We all liked our drinks and we didn't wait long. We started with calamari which was great. The other guests had fried okra and a side salad and those dishes were well enjoyed. For entrees three of us got burgers. And one of us got the trout. The trout was great and I would've wanted a larger fillet. The burgers and fries were equally good and there were no complaints. One burger wasn't made correctly and it was promptly taken care of. The bathroom was clean. Id definitely return. Gabriella took great care of us. read more

The food and cocktails were absolutely delicious. I had the Paper Plane (bourbon, aperol, citrus) and my friend had a vodka martini. We started with the olives, Marcona almonds, feta, and orange zest. We shared the burger & turkey sandwich. The service, 0/10. We sat at the bar. There were 4 people behind the bar and 7 customers sitting at the bar. The staff behind the bar did not make eye contact. You could not get their attention. My cocktail glass was empty for over 30 minutes.. I could not get anyone's attention at all. There were not many tickets from the servers ringing in drinks, so they weren't busy. Based on their service. I probably will never dine there again. The folks behind the bar ALL need to be retrained on customer service (and probably service recovery) in my opinion. read more

Location. Great service. Delicious bites. This mainstay for downtown Decatur sits on a busy corner to people watch and see the exotic cars passing by. We weren't in the mood for brunch (breakfast) food but found their menu to be elevated American cuisine. Burgers, salads, hand cut fries, but there's also flatbread, pork belly and mussels that make the offerings diverse. The ambiance is relaxed and chill. Lots of outdoor seating on both sides of the restaurant and a fully stocked bar. The cloth napkins and flatware are on the table, still water is served in glass bottles and you can request condiments like ketchup but it's not on the table. Based on how the menu changes by season, plus dinner has more to options - we'll be back. I read this year is the 15th Anniversary for Leon's - if that's not convincing, I don't know what is! read more

Hubby had a hankering to go out for dessert. After a search online, we decided on this place. The main part of the restaurant is L-shaped, with the entrance the inner corner of the L, the bar area at one of the legs and dining at the other leg, which seems like a good idea so that bar noise isn't disturbing diners. There's also a nice patio area with heaters to dine. The seats in the dining area were an eclectic mix of booths, tables, and high-tops. Our waitress, Kelly, was sweet and informative. Hubby asked about a drink on their menu and I asked about the vegan ice cream in their sundae. Kelly easily answered our questions and was spot on. We ordered the ice cream sundae and the apple almond cake. I wasn't sure about ordering the sundae since the ice cream is vegan and I don't regularly eat vegan. But Kelly told me that it's really creamy. The sundae was delicious, even though it didn't seem to have the pistachios or the caramel that was on the description in the menu. The cake had what seemed like a brûlée topping and my husband enjoyed it. A nice way to end our trip to the Atlanta area. read more

"Meh" is the best way to describe Leon's. With all the options in Decatur, Leon's doesn't stand out. While the location is prime--it's on the busiest corner downtown--the food, service, and ambiance were underwhelming.
