My girlfriends and I dressed up for a cocktails, dinner, and music at Roaring Social-Decatur. When we arrived, there was no line, however we were quickly greeted by the host and he even took some nice photos of us. Our server was friendly and our food/drinks arrived quickly. The live music artist, Jacob Blazer, was so entertaining and talented too. We will return again.

This place was amazing! I can very much see this place being the to-go for folks celebrating something or just go have a good time! It definitely has the speakeasy situation down pat as you need a password and some other items before you actually go in. The space and ambiance is amazing; all the staff was very friendly and my drink was magnificent! I had a smoked old fashioned and I don't think I have ever been asked about how much I want my old fashion smoked but it was very good! I cannot wait to go back on purpose (as this visit was very random).

Chris (treble) is the funniest and most reliable bartender. He's so attentive and the atmosphere is that of obviously the 1920s. If you have to ask you don't know. The food is delicious but the drinks are even better. Chris makes the most delicious drinks and I definitely recommend coming here. Oooh ohhh oahhhh.

This new speakeasy in downtown Decatur is truly one of a kind! The prohibition 1920s theme came through in the various decor and actors/staff. Entering the speakeasy was pretty easy even though we realized we didn't know the password. Once we realized we needed to "make a deposit", we were led to a replica bank room and into the bar. The vibe was really cool! Lots of interactive opportunities such as bowling and a photo booth. The food and drinks were a little slow to come out, even with not many people visiting. The food itself was yummy! The steak was tender and well seasoned. Wish the sauce came on the side because it wasn't my favorite. The music was also very loud and didn't really match the aesthetic of the place in my opinion, but did have a good vibe to it! Overall, I think they're still settling in, but would love to try it out again sometime in the future!

The small bites were very good and drinks to accommodate refreshing! Ambiance is absolutely amazing! My bartender was extremely attentive! I will definitely be back for sure and rotate between the Decatur (this visit and review) and Alpharetta locations!! A freaking "crazysexycool" evening and beautiful people enjoying their lives!!!

My new favorite Thursday night Karoake spot. The band is great and so is every single person working here. They're all super warm and attentive. I always have a good time and the food is really tasty. I look forward to trying them out on a weekend.

My wife and I visited Roaring Social for an early dinner at 5:30 pm on a Friday. The restaurant was nearly empty with just one other couple there. The Good: The entrance experience is fantastic. They've clearly put thought and effort into the bank vault theme, and walking through that vault door really sets the stage. The interior has a nice lounge vibe with comfortable couches and areas that would work well for larger groups. The steak frites special was genuinely delicious. The steak was tender with a lovely chimichurri salsa, and the fries with garlic aioli were fantastic. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, which we appreciated. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the theming breaks down once you're past that impressive entrance. There are two TV screens and a large stage with a big screen behind it that clash with the speakeasy concept. The contemporary music doesn't help, and during our visit, a band was doing mic checks and practice for an evening performance (they typically start after 7:00 pm). My wife and I had to nearly shout to hear each other at times, which isn't what I expect from a speakeasy atmosphere. The cocktails were just okay. Their smoked old fashioned lacked any sweetness and came across as too strong. The charcuterie board was disappointing--the only cheese appeared to be pre-packaged cubes you'd find at any grocery store, and it came with crispy, cracker-like bread instead of the naan advertised on the menu. Overall: Roaring Social has potential, especially if you're going with a larger group and aren't expecting an intimate, quiet speakeasy experience. But between the broken theming and the noise level, it's not somewhere I'm rushing back to anytime soon.

Super fun experience! Went with a work group and loved how we entered the speakeasy and immediately the vibe. Drinks were great, dessert was great, food was good to great, and loved the vibes. Music sometimes didn't match the vibe but it was still a fun night! All the servers were kind and accommodating.

Rick at the entrance was AMAZING and so fun to interact with both before and after our visit. Glenn was great to us at the bar and the entire vibe was amazing. So much fun and will be back over and over again.

What a cool place. Discovered it incidentally while in downtown Atlanta. Upscale with a dress code…read morethankfully. The entrance code can be obtained from their website or local hotel concierges. Dial the number on the antique phone and the door magically opens. The staff super friendly and helpful. The bartenders are the best, clearly passionate about their work. I highly encourage you to try one or several of their signature cocktails. I sampled the Left Bank Martini and Vesper. As expected they are fully stocked with Pappy Bourbon, hard to find Amaro Noni. Ask a bartender about the ice block. The place is spacious unlike other speakeasys I've been to. Lots of niche areas with couch reservations, pool table available. No time for a cigar but that is on my list when I return. Food available from their upstairs sister restaurant.

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.

They made recommendations on food choices and humored us when we all decided to get something different to share asking for extra plates. Sadly I didn't get any pictures because I was trying to be respectful of the company I was in but the dishes were all picture perfect! They have an incredible Gluten Free selection, which is not why we went, but I noted that if you were GF, this would be your heaven-on-earth. As you may notice, the menu is on the pricier side compared to other joints in the neighborhood. I'm here to tell you, it's WORTH it! I had an absolutely delicious Pot Roast. Everyone in my group of 5 got something different but loved it just to same. Fun fact: there's a hidden speakeasy inside the restaurant you should try out before/ after/ in lieu of dinner in the main restaurant. This place is EXCELLENT! Can't wait to return now.

The drinks were okay at first, nothing crazy. One thing I will say though, the bartender came by to get feedback and actually adjusted my drink on the spot. I didn't like the espresso martini at all at first but after I said what was off, they knew exactly what to add and it ended up much better. The speakeasy vibe I remember also wasn't really there this time. The front felt a bit disorganized, and combined with the loud music, it just didn't have that same intimate, polished feel. Not sure if it was just an off night or if things are starting to slip a bit, but I'd still say it's worth trying for yourself.
