I hosted a ladies afternoon tea at Bar Margot for my girlfriends today. Upon entering the Four Seasons hotel, we walked upstairs to the Bar. The hotel was decorated with flowers and even a nod to the FIFA World Cup. We were greeted by the hostess and sat in the waiting area until 4 out of the 5 of the party arrived. Our server had set up our table adorned with lovely pink tea cups, tinted water glasses, a decorative plate, and folded napkins. Our server was so professional and let us know about the Girl Dinner on Thursdays too. We enjoyed our sandwiches, little desserts, and scones. Everyone raved about the flavor of the deviled eggs with truffle oil and the sweet crunchy scones. We look forward to returning in the fall for another afternoon tea experience. read more

Located in the Four Seasons hotel on the 2nd floor; we were immediately greeted by the host staff. Our reservation was for 12:30pm and we arrived approximately mins early and had to briefly wait for our table to be ready. We sat down and were provided water and I asked for a purse holder and the waitress was able to locate one for me. We received our menus and if you're in to a French style menu, this is the place for you. I had the avocado tartine (toast), and others in my party had the eggs Benedict, the crepe; and pancakes. Two of us also ordered a mimosa. Because it was my aunts birthdays, they were given a small treat. It's quiet and very cute ambiance and lighting. Bar Margot is along my walk home from work, so from time to time I'll stop in for a drink or dinner at the bar. As you'd expect at the Four Seasons it's a very upscale ambiance and the staff is always very welcoming. The bar itself is large enough to hold a dozen or so seats and there is extensive table and banquette seating in the floor area. They have a selection of house cocktails and I've been happy with each one I've tried (my eye always moves to the bourbon/whiskey options on the menu). There is a limited food menu that is definitely way better than standard "bar food" though neither is it fine dining; it's perfect for a light meal. They do have music certain evenings so it can get quite busy then or on weekend nights. Prices are a little above what you can find nearby in Midtown but again this is a five star hotel; I think it's worthwhile for the occasional visit. read more

It's been a minute since I've made it to Bar Margot! It used to be my one of my favorites many years ago. I had a reservation for lunch and was sat quickly. It was pretty full, so I had already prepared myself for a slightly longer lunch service. The area is plush and sophisticated with comfortable couches and chairs and a fair amount of natural night during the day. My server was kind and observant. She had a few tables so she had to manage a lot, which was no fault of hers. I ordered fried for the table and had a beet salad for lunch. The fries were crispy and flavor packed. The salad had a large amount of beets (I love that!) and tasted great. I'd love to come back and visit when I have a little more time to enjoy their cocktails and entertainment! read more

Great service, surprisingly loved their vegan options! This is an upscale spot in the Four Seasons- vegan options clearly marked on the menu (although we did find a possible mislabel). I loved the vegan main that is made with local vegetables, it was extremely oily but tasted fresh and hearty, and this is coming from someone who would normally order rich pastas and skip the veggies. I stayed at the hotel so ordering room service I saw the menu was a tad bit different so I decided to walk down, plus the drink menu, I knew would be amazing. I saw the oyster mushrooms and I had to rush down there. I was greeted so nicely before walking in and there were a total of 6 couples seated and 3 at the bar. I asked about sitting at the bar but decided to sit in a seat. I immediately asked about the oyster mushrooms and it was okay, slight toasty crunch and a taste with a little sweet to it. It was okay but I wasn't a fan and I was shocked at myself so I ate it anyway. You can't go wrong with oyster mushrooms. I recently were on holiday in Italy on this small island Procida and Capri so I am still on this limoncello spritz kick. Now I learned from there if it taste less with the fizz then the champagne has been sitting for awhile and ask for a new bottle. Now i understand my mission. It's so simple to make and I make at home now so I was confident with the bar staff and ordered. It tasted very watery and not good at all. I felt bad asking for something different but I did and I just got a basic French 75. Now if this drink is made wrong it explains the first one. Well it didn't taste good at all and I have to remember it depends on the champagne and maybe it Prosecco they put in or maybe champagne that has been sitting out for awhile. The lemon and simple syrup ratio gave bitter more than balanced. I just drank it and asked for sparkling water. It took well over an hour to get my food. I noticed there was one couple that had an anniversary that the staff I had was attending to more. Again I have to remind myself that service is different everywhere you go and I try to avoid Atlanta because of this but the hotel was so exceptional I just had to come here. I asked about if my item would come before a certain time as I had to leave and voila. From the reviews I can say maybe I had an off night and different bar staff as I saw around me everyone besides a couple at the bar had wine. So I know to stay simple, also room service was soooo amazing I could've just done that. The ambiance was very nice I may add. read more

For the Sunday brunch at Bar Margot (Four Seasons), quality definitely comes out on top. Quantity-wise, it's a far cry from Vegas. But quality-wise, Bar Margot delivers in spades. Went here on a whim on a Wednesday night. I saw what appeared to be a lot of working professionals and a few groups of friends. It wasn't packed, but it wasn't empty. Beautiful space, amazing service. Travis was a very attentive, knowledgeable, and polite server. I don't eat burgers normally, but I took a chance on this one...and it was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had! I upgraded my side to the truffle fries, sadly I was not a big fan of those. I chose the mountain of youth cocktail. I was a little nervous by the description because I don't like spicy drinks. Travis said it wasn't spicy, more like refreshing. The waiter was great, I loved everything from the chips and olives to the drinks and food. I had an Army navy gin drink, chicken entree, tropical tart and funnel cake dessert. I was heckled by another customer but other than that it was a great environment. Great DJ, my waiter was always near by to check on me. Came for dinner last night (Wednesday). We made reservations for 6pm. It was very crowded. It seemed like a lot of business people. Our server took quite a while to come over to us. They only had two people working it looked like, maybe three. It took a long time to get our drinks and our food. For drinks, we got wine and the Window seat spritzer. They were good but very pricey. For food, we got the bread service, the Caesar salad and the burger with sweet potato fries. The bread service was good - it was cheddar jalapeño bread with butter. It came with 3 small pieces. The Caesar was not very good. Pretty bland. The burger was alright. It had some hard fatty pieces in it. I think our favorite was the sweet potatoes fries that we got with it. I stopped in between events and it was all that and then some! The energy there was something else. All the decor was on point and I just adore the vibes. The concierge took my name and immediately seated me. They didn't waste any time taking my order. I love some good Brussels Sprouts. When I saw it on the menu I was curious. Could they be as good as others? My server assured me that they were the BEST! He was not lying! I didn't know I could love this dish any more than I did. But I do! This place is inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown. The food was absolutely delicious. The salmon sear was really good but the inside with a little bit undercooked. I absolutely loved the apricot toast with prosciutto and burrata! I'd eat this toast any day and would prefer to not share it. My husband thought the burger was really good. We also really liked one of our servers, Ruthcarrie. She was absolutely lovely and sweet. The vibe was nice except for the crying, but it was a baby and not an adult so it was fine. I pass the Four Seasons regularly but never thought to eat here until we realized they have vegan and non vegan options. My friend is vegan, I am not. Parking is valet only and $12 with dining validation. In Midtown, that's a win for me! Note that you can only pay with card for the valet. Bar Margot is not a huge space, but on a Sunday evening, it was not crowded. They have both alcoholic drink and mock tails. Now for the main event, the food! It was amazing. Yes. Admittedly, it never would have occurred to me to dine at Bar Margo were it not for my sisters' generosity in giving me a gift card to the 4 Seasons. That said, my 2 visits here so far have been fantastic! In each of my dining experiences, I've found myself very well accommodated. This includes really good food and excellent service. I really think one would be hard pressed to find a better upscale-casual experience. The only *minor* inconvenience... and I mean minuscule, is there doesn't seem to be a way to conveniently process digital gift cards. The very long gift card number had to be manually written down and typed into the kiosk. It also doesn't process like a credit card, so you have to tip in cash or let them know up front that you want to add a gratuity. If we can get that fixed, I promise there would be absolutely no issues from me whatsoever. read more

We made reservations ahead of time so I cannot say if it's easy to walk in or not but I always suggest making reservations. Let's talk about how hard it is to find an open bar in this part of Midtown on a Tuesday night at 10pm. You'd think we were in the middle of nowhere. Pandemic times are strange, and thought we wanted a nightcap after seeing a show at Alliance Theatre, we tried 5 bars before we found this one - the only one still allowing new guests. They told us we wouldn't be allowed in because we didn't have a reservation and we weren't guests of the hotel (this is inside the Four Seasons). But we asked very nicely, and she made an exception for us. There were plenty of people in the bar, but there were a few tables open, so I guess they just try to reserve enough so hotel guests always have an opportunity to come here. Some of the food spreads on the tables we passed were incredible. It's possible some high rollers just decided to buy everything on the menu... and it all looked impressive. We're folks of more simple tastes, and had cocktails and shared the truffle fries and sweet potato fries. These are good "fancy restaurant" quality fries. Good crunch and well seasoned. Of course, you come for the cocktails, and they had a menu of about 10 to choose from. I went with the Lady Victoria, and it was a perfect light, refreshing vodka/lemon concotion. Others at our table enjoyed the Unhinged 75 and an Old Fashioned. Keep in mind the kitchen closes at 10, so we were just able to get our order in before it closed. Another great dining experience!!! January 31st for my birthday! My brother and I dined here for the Sunday brunch buffet. This was a late birthday treat for me as my 53rd was on January 21st. The dining space spans the inner bar area as well as the balcony area facing 14th street. The bar area is darker and cozy while the balcony area receives more light from the large windows. We chose to dine in the bar area at a booth. Plexiglass partitions are installed in the seating areas. The buffet is no longer self service but served for patrons by friendly staff with the food protected behind the plexiglass. The food stations surround the balcony and grand staircase area. The food was all high quality and presentation was beautiful. Selection is reduced due to COVID however it is not an issue since it allows the staff to execute the food to perfection. I visited the omelette station and had a veggie omelette. I also had the French toast with the berry compote and whipped cream and real maple syrup. Roasted potatoes were served on the side. My brother also had the French toast with the compote. He visited the taco station and sampled three varieties prepared with his choice of fillings. We sampled three of the house made desserts. I especially loved that the portion sizes were small which allowed us to share and sample. The taste and quality of the creme brûlée, the chocolate tart and the miniature parfait with dark cherries were incredible. We enjoyed our cappuccinos and ended the meal with a fun cocktail that featured a mango sorbet popsicle presented in a wide brimmed glass with a bouquet of cotton candy and then champagne was poured over it. It sounds crazy but tasted incredible. The food, both savory and sweet, is consistently high quality and unique. The pastry staff is amazing and presented me with a box of their artisan chocolates. I really like the space, however, the prices of the cocktails are way too expensive. Expect to pay $20 per cocktail including tax and tip. Nice bar/restaurant inside of The Four seasons hotel. The decor is gorgeous and welcoming. Its full of warm colors and plush chairs. The prices are more affordable than you would think for a place of this calibur. During the summer they had $5 burger and milkshake lunch specials every Wednesday. I tried a white Russian milkshake which had me really relaxed at work. This place is in the middle of midtown so there isn't much parking but they have valet and are very timely with bring cars back.
