Venue and Atmosphere Settled nicely on a tree lined street, Vesper greets you with cafe tables outside and a stately double door. The interior is dim unless you settle into the corner window seat, which we happily did. The interior continues to feature a mix of a sophisticated living room and modern bar. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food and Beverages Vesper features a full bar, however their cocktail menu features some real gems. At some point he seated a couple at one of the tables, so I came up to ask why he hasn't called my name yet, to which he moved his arm toward me in a gesture as if he was getting rid of me, saying "you can sit wherever you want to" with an attitude. I requested to speak to a manager, and all the manager did was offer me a table. At this point I was no longer in the mood to relax and enjoy my night, as I didn't feel welcome at this place at all. After a five-minute conversation with the manager and no result, I left. Very disappointed, and not coming back here. The chicken sandwich was okay but it was not up to par from what I thought it was going to be. The chicken sandwich was basically burnt. You break off a piece of the batter, which was crunchy, but then you see nothing but charred batter and ash basically. That really wasn't cool. I had to pick it apart and pick that off of my sandwich before I ate it because I don't wanna taste burnt fried chicken batter. You can see in one of the pictures that I posted that it definitely shows the contrast with the outer crust of the chicken versus the inside. I'm glad that the chicken was still edible and the chicken still had a pretty good flavor to it but just the fried meat was the issue. If you're going to fry chicken, you got to fry chicken right because you can really tell if the oil is bad or if it's been left in there too long. That's my only gripe with the food but I still would go back and try the burger because it's probably harder to mess up a burger than it is to mess up a battered chicken sandwich. This isn't me writing them off but I'm just being honest about it. I will still definitely go back because I like the vibe there for sure.
