This cocktail lounge is a cool spot! We had a private party for 20 and reserved the "Tight Squeeze" section which was behind a very nondescript door (like a speakeasy??) and right next to the bar, with a big center table where most of stood around, and then comfy sofas and chairs on the periphery. Since the other side of the bar was pretty much almost outside with a deck, they had heated lamps throughout. To order food or drinks, we went to the bartender - there is no server walking around to take orders. All of us kept an open tab - and they do automatically charge 20% tip. Our bartender was really good and super nice! And they have Happy Hours specials 4:30-7pm - even Sat/Sun ... so I took advantage of that! MELON BALL - $9 I'd never had a melon ball before and it was really yummy :) DOS CONFIT DUCK TACOS - $10 Two corn tortilla tacos w/ duck confit (birria style), NY sharp cheddar (actually I don't remember having cheese in mine), and mango chutney ... good option if you're looking for a lite bite. I enjoyed mine! LEMON PEPPER FRITES - $6 House-cut fries w/ lemon pepper dusting. The tacos weren't enough, lol - plus the fries were a good portion for sharing. I wish they sprinkled more lemon pepper but it was fine. Next time I'd like to try their Big Mac sliders - those looked really good! The shrimp po' boys looked good too! Looking at the regular menu, the food prices are very reasonable. Overall great spot for groups! They are located at Colony Square - although I knew the restaurant location, I did get disoriented after coming from the parking garage and trying to figure out where was 14th Street but a lovely policeman walked me there. Remember to bring your parking ticket and then ask the hostess to validate your ticket when you leave the restaurant - supposedly it's free up to 2 hours but I stayed there for over 6 hours and didn't have to pay for parking, yay! read more

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unfortunately. We had such bad and ultimately rude service. At first everything was great, our server was attentive for a group of 12ish people. As the night went on, we ordered more drinks and our server also ordered more drinks for himself (which we could see him drinking). He was incredibly rude and at times would just disappear. Mind you we were one of the only groups in the restaurant... all other tables had 'reserved' signs on them. For who? I'm not sure. He was obviously very annoyed to have to serve us and made rude comments to a few people in our group. For the food - the served actually told us 'you didn't order that' when we reminded him or 2 items that were forgot. They came out about 15 mins later. Very average drinks in old glassware. Bartender bit of a "know it all". Dead atmosphere compared to its neighbors on a Saturday night.... for a reason! But main reason for 2 stars - they gave themselves an automatic 20% tip! Will never return for this reason alone!... tips are earned and should be decided by customer! Not the staff. The service was terrible and because they're tipping themselves, they clearly have no incentive to improve. Very frustrating and disappointing. Great food and wine scene! This restaurant provides consistently excellent food and service. We have been dining here for years for personal and business events. Last night we dined here to attend the Owl Lantern Parade kicking off from the adjacent Politan Row space. Service was excellent and all of our food was hot and fresh. Prices are a great value for the quality and portion size. Ghost in the Shell is our favorite cocktail. The duck fat chicken sliders and sandwiches were delicious. The truffle fries with Parmesan cheese were delicious. My brother loved the burger! The deviled eggs paired well with all the food. We dined on the patio and the fans and live DJ music kept us cool and entertained. Music is at a level that still allows conversation. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Ambiance: Fun & trendy bar/restaurant/lounge in Midtown with multiple seating areas, all of which provide a bit of a different vibe/mood! The patio outdoor seating is very open/breezy with views of the Midtown area. We enjoyed the bar seats outside, however there were also lounge chairs and couch areas. The inside feels more moody & dark - perfect for a date night or upscale night out. There are dining table areas, seats at the bar, and lounge seating for a more club/laid back vibe. The menu was on the pricey side - I think you're paying for the ambiance! We enjoyed the decor and atmosphere. Bar service was fast and attentive. Great spots for groups, tourists, and hanging out in a trendy ambiance. Bathrooms were clean. Street parking available, walking distance to several other spots. You'll see a lot of business come in, so if you're looking for something a little more rowdy this would not be it. The drinks are okay, decent specials, but I had the EST burger, and that was amazing! It was kind of a smashburger cooked with dripping cheese all over the place. The Establishment is one of the many bars in the Colony Square/ West Midtown area, and it has a very chill but chic vibe. They have a very expansive bar with my favorite drink being the bluegrass bramble. Each of their bartenders are extremely personable and don't mind being the life of the party. If you're hungry, they do offer a food menu but I didn't have a chance to try any of those items. On the weekends, this place can get packed but thankfully there is a lot of first come first served seating for a small party. If you have a bigger one, I suggest getting a reservation. Stopped by here for some after-dinner drinks with friends. The vibe was nice, and the server was very nice and knowledgeable. The drinks seemed to be a little slower coming than I would have expected, but the food (light bar food) came pretty quick. It was hot and fresh, no complaints there. It was really dark in there, though. We had to use the flashlights on our phones to actually read the menu. Otherwise, it was a nice visit. I checked out Establishment for their happy hour before a play at the Alliance Theatre. It's located in the colony square. The vibes were great for a Wednesday. I liked the interior. We sat in the outside bar area but found out from the bartender that the specials were only for inside but she accommodated us, that was a win. All of our selections were good. Good bar food. Had a good experience at this restaurant. Ordered the Wagyu burger and it was HUGE and very good. The Garlic/Truffle fries are one of the best I've ever had. I ordered the champagne cocktail which was AWESOME! It's the same thing as a French 75 but they add their own name to it (highly recommend). It's casual, parking is same as it would be at any other restaurant in colony square. Not sure if they validate parking as we got ours validated at IPIC. The drinks are good. I came here solo for Valentines day after work. The weather was nice so the patio was open therefore the whole restaurant was kind of open air. I wanted ot sit out on the patio. The hostess shared they whole area had reservations except for a couple of seats at a long high top table. I took it. By the way, no one came to sit at my table and maybe one couple came in the patio area while I was there. Rest of the time it was empty. My service was great. I was requested to have the heat lamp on and my server obliged. My food was excellent. Even the plates were nice, ceramic stoneware. The ambiance is really nice from the patio to the bar to the sitting area and then tables in the back. There is also another bar and sitting area. I originally came to this restaurant to check out the North Pole holiday pop up bar they have on their small rooftop area. Upon arrival, there was already a line forming just to order drinks. Plus it was raining and the rooftop isn't covered. I decided to go back downstairs and have a drink at the indoor bars until traffic slowed down a bit. Chris was my bartender and he was super cool. He made great drinks and was very accommodating to my off menu request. I wanted something refreshing with a summery feel and he delivered. I intended on hanging at the bar for a little while, but I stayed for at least 2.5 hours. The energy is very welcoming here too. They have two bars on the main level and a limited time pop up bar on the roof. I'm not sure what they usually have out there, but the space would make a nice spot for additional outdoor seating. I eventually went back to the rooftop and was able to snag seats in the pop up. I would say I 100% had a better time at the lower level bar. But check out the North Pole if you can. It's quaint! This restaurant itself is pretty ducked off in colony square so it can be tricky to locate. However, it's adjacent to the CFA. Enjoy! read more

Establishment passes the vibe test! The most lively happy hour I've been to in a while. Great happy hour menu (4-6 pm). The food and drinks were on point. I got the truffle fries and a bubbly cocktail. The serving size for the fries is plentiful for sharing. My friend was very satisfied with his burger, regular fries, and cocktail. We went here for a group happy hour and had fun! As the name suggests, this is a place very much geared for the whiskey lovers, BUT they still have options for others. They have a solid happy hour (4-6pm when I went) that has $10 whiskey cocktails (think traditionals- mint julep, whiskey sour, whiskey ginger, etc), a cheap Prosecco option as well, and affordable apps! I got the one with whiskey, ginger, and lemon peel (the name evades me), which was strong but refreshing. It was all reasonably priced. My service was unfortunately so-so, with infrequent check-ins. The ambiance is awesome though -- open patio with overlying string lights and just a really cool aesthetic bar. The truffle fries are INCREDIBLE -- perfectly crunchy, nice salt, good truffle flavor and covered with cheese. I say all this, because our meal didn't live up to the reason why we were there...HUNGER. We shared the Marsala Mussels as a appetizer more then enough for 2 maybe 3 max if you love mussels. I ordered a grill chicken sandwich with garlic fries. Fries we're awesome, the sandwich not so much. Bread was toasted well and tasty, the bacon was cooked well, it has a green sauce that seemed to be missing something. It was ok for taste, but the chicken itself was not seasoned, marinated, beaten or anything. It was very tough.
