There's a discrete pink door on the side of the building facing the paid parking lot. If you go earlier in the night you might be able to catch free street parking. On a Friday at 9pm, it's a bit quiet and intimate, but it really picks up after 10pm when the crowd comes. The drinks are good and decently priced $14-18. The Wake The Dead was so refreshing and my favorite even though they all were lovely to drink. Plus, there was a live dj playing r&b after 10pm. The food is flavorful but the portions are a bit small. You'll be satisfied but not full. So consider getting an app too if you're truly hungry or eat before you get there. Might be my new cheers! Tucked away in the Arts District, this gem is eclectic and fun. There's on-site and street parking. To park in their parking lot, there's a $20 charge. It's a little annoying, but the convenience makes up for it. I made a reservation online. It's a small, intimate space with limited seating, so I'm glad we did. The ambiance is relaxed with a hint of bop. There are couches, chairs, benches, and stools for seating. A DJ kept the energy up. And our server (co-owner) was phenomenal. Knowledgeable on the drinks and very attentive. We had the Mr. Jones, Smooth Operator, and then the last round I asked for a Manhattan (best Manhattan I've had in a long time). The drinks are a little pricey, but well made and super boozy! Worth the price tag. We also asked for a drink not on the menu. It wasn't to our liking. The owner not only got us a new drink, but asked what the bartender could've done to make it better. I love that! If Covid precautions are a concern this likely isn't the spot for you. My husband and I came in to Parlor early on a Friday night for a pre-dinner cocktail and some apps. The decor/vibe in this place is awesome and you immediately feel like you're in a speakeasy. Now, they had just opened up for the night when we got there but y'all - at least half the staff wasn't masked. Huh??? There was a waiter, bartender, chef, and who I believe was the owner walking around unmasked. Even as more guests started to roll in, the bartender never masked up and the owner was walking around delivering food to tables unmasked the entire time we were there. That is the primary reason for this sub-par review. In terms of food and drink, first of all: they don't give you water. If you want water, you pay $4 per bottle. Ok... we ordered the Navegador and the Love Sexy, which were both great, but it took at least 15 minutes to get to us. We also ordered the cauli bites and the chicken potato bowl. The cauli bites were great and we ended up ordering a second, and the chicken bowl was decent but they were both the same size (served in a tiny bowl) and in my opinion, overpriced. Our second round of drinks were the Gentlewoman (I think this was my favorite of the night) and the Millionaire, which was not at all what the description portrayed. It was served in a champagne flute and had obvious bubbles in it and tasted nothing like rum (the drink is described as rum, white tea syrup, mint, lime juice... not sure I tasted any of that). Overall: great vibe, great decor and I love the concept and most of the food and drinks were tasty, but pretty overpriced and definitely not somewhere you want to hang out during a pandemic since many of the staff do not take safety/hygiene seriously. read more

I am a fan of all things black, grown, and sexy and that is the epitome of Parlor. The staff is so welcoming and friendly and the space is very cozy. Feels familiar. I have enjoyed every drink I have had. My absolute fav is The Unbothered. I've recently gone and the displays of art is also such a nice touch. A wonderful lounge! Only critique would be the parking situation isn't ideal. If you can't find street parking, I believe the lot was $20 the night I went and seating can be hard if it's crowded, which tends to fill quickly in the weekends. But they are on Open Table, so maybe that could be combated. Oh, and the music love it. read more

Finally this sexy, chic, pre-prohibition bar has arrived! The space is small and intimate, and they play a mixture of jazz and house/lounge music overhead which creates a relaxing vibe. I ordered a Mr. Jones cocktail, a Cuvee du Merlet, and an Old Fashioned Cupcake. The Mr. Jones had a nice peach flavor that complimented the bourbon and the Old Fashioned Cupcake also had bourbon infused in it and tasted amazing! The Cuvee du Merlet was similar to a Whiskey sour, but a lot smoother. Alphonzo (the owner or one of the owners) served me and was very warm and welcoming. Don't drink before you get there, or else you won't find it. Super cute, it's small and aesthetically pleasing. No TVs or big bars, definitely created for engaging conversation. Drink prices are unusually expensive for the area, but I believe its supposed to match the thought and motif behind the venue - a Prohibition Era speakeasy. That being said, they are delicious, but it takes forever to make a single drink. I think the recipes and processes they follow also factor into the price, but waiting 12 minutes for one drink when the place is already empty.... not ok. The incredible wait time for every. single. drink. is what prevents this place from being 5 stars, to me. Service is good, not great but not terrible. I had the pleasure of visiting Parlor last weekend for the Cultural Crawl on Peter Street. This is a great place to meet up with friends over a hand-crafted cocktail or for a date night. Parking - There are a couple of options. You can pay to valet your car or find street parking. Ambiance - Parlor theme is "a pre-prohibition style cocktail den'" and they nailed it! The setting is imitate and great for conversation. Cocktails - I order the Mr. Jones (their version of an Old Fashioned) mixed with Uncle Nearest 1856 Whiskey, Merlet Creme de Peche, bitter trio, citrus oil. It was probably THE best old fashioned I've ever had. I loved how the bartender put so much love into crafting each cocktail. Bites - I order the Chef's Piquant Popcorn with duck fat caramel. Delicious. It went perfectly with my drink. Customer Service - We were acknowledged promptly at the door. The order was super nice and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The only negative I have is the exorbitant drink prices. But in all seriousness, I put Parlor high on the list as a night cap or perhaps a conversational opportunity. Even a first date would be super clutch at Parlor. Your date would most likely be impressed with your ability to locate such a hidden treasure. The inside is laid out for casual comfort in a way to stimulate socialization. Love seats and couch chairs are spread throughout with a few areas to stand as well as spots at the bar. Servers are attentive and well rehearsed on the menu offerings. Bartenders are world class. Every menu designed drink has several unique ingredients and takes a minute to make. But they push em out pretty efficiently. The location is in the Castleberry Hills retail district on Peters St. But it's not really on Peters St. I mean the address is Peters St. but you ain't getting in on Peters. We came here on a Saturday night after having dinner elsewhere. I saw this place on iG a few years back when there was an event held here named Unsectioned. If you're from Atlanta, then you would understand the reasoning behind the name. From that point forward, i made sure to put it on list on Yelp and made sure to come here. This is a good place to start your night or have a nightcap and its a must if you want to be heard on your date. The music is curated to create a great vibe where ppl can converse and enjoy great drinks. It is small, intimate with great choice with thoughtful furniture selections. Later in the night, a DJ showed up and kept the vibe going with her mix but the music did NOT get louder and that is the vital part for me. There are no tvs here so if you struggle with conversational skills, this place is not for you unless you wish to be challenged. The staff is super friendly and greets with warm smiles. When we first got there the only seating available was along the wall where there is a long bar top and stools. A couple made their exit and a spot opened up on the velvet and sofa and the hostess/waitress came over to us and asked us if we wished to move over there for the remainder of our time there and we quickly took the opportunity. Hello, Tonight I had some friends come for my going away party. The service was some of the worst service I've ever experienced in a while. My first experience was amazing, but to have my people there with a waitress that was NOT interested in anything and chose her own tip at check out is totally disrespectful, illegal, not what I expected from your establishment. Unfortunately, she did not give her name, but she was the only woman working tonight which is 4-12- 2023. We had to leave and go somewhere else to have the experience that someone would expect when they are moving away from their loved ones. What I am hoping for is a response from someone who understands great customer service and whatever it is your brand is trying to put out to PAYING customers. Everyone is entitled to a bad day, but what I expect is for you to call out from your paying job when you're not in a place to provide excellent customer service. The decor is definitely eye catching and gives the place a back in the day feel! I wanted a Long Island, but the bartender suggested I try the Rumpunch, being from the Caribbean, that's all I needed to hear and went ahead with his suggestion. I was not disappointed at all! A cool spot that is tucked away off Peter's Street. The cocktails are crafted with house made juices and syrups. I thoroughly enjoyed the specially crafted drink. First time here for a birthday celebration. Well the cash bar has a limited selection. Ok not a problem. The main has all the craft drinks with as a Bartender takes much longer to make So the need for additional bartenders is important. I shouldn't be waiting for a drink for over 15 minutes.
