Moonlight in Old Fourth Ward = the perfect girls' night spot! Such a cute, cozy vibe and the cocktails are just as pretty as the space. Service was just okay, but I think it was an off night, as the servers were super slammed. ATL needs more moonlight vibes.
I didn't love the food -- a ton of seafood items but didn't feel like it suited the vibe. The service is good and the servers are very attentive! the views tho....thats everything here. I have to say it's been the best one ive been to in atlanta!! get a resi, don't wear athleisure, and park valet or pay on the street!
Moonlight at the FORTH Hotel Atlanta in Old Fourth Ward is such a chic rooftop cocktail spot. The richly colored décor and lounge seating give it a glamorous, intimate vibe. The skyline views are amazing....you can even see the iconic Ponce City Market sign glowing in the distance. I highly recommend the French 16 cocktail. The saffron and apricot notes make it light, unique, and really elegant. Perfect spot for a stylish night out or drinks with a view.
So I will preface this review by saying I don't remember much but I do remember this: 1) When you enter to get to the elevator to go up to Moonlight, you will be asked if you have a reservation as they do notify the staff upstairs. 2) You will be placed on the elevator with other folks, not the other way around. I remember saying a couple of times "is this a group project?" because of the way they herded us on the elevator 3) If you are coming on a popular day please have reservations 4) There is not much sitting room if they are busy. 5) My passion fruit margarita was good but I think I remember asking about the tequila and they didn't have a higher quality tequila 6) The ambiance is nice!
Last night, Friday, August 21, at approximately 9:30 p.m., I was denied entry to Moonlight, the rooftop lounge on the 16th floor of FORTH Hotel & Club in Atlanta, because of my attire. I am the woman wearing the black glasses, and this is exactly what I had on. There were three hosts at the entrance, and all three appeared to participate in deciding whether I was dressed appropriately. They pointed toward me, looked me up and down, and appeared to size me up before turning me away. I do not understand why it took three hosts to evaluate my clothing, but their behavior made me feel judged, looked down upon, and unwelcome. One of the hosts enforcing the dress code was wearing black, baggy cargo pants, making their decision feel even more inconsistent. Moonlight's website describes its dress code as "smart casual" and specifically prohibits athleisure, swimwear, and leggings. Businesses may establish dress codes, but those rules should be clearly communicated, consistently enforced, and applied respectfully. I would like Moonlight and @FORTH Hotel & Club to review what happened around 9:30 p.m., explain exactly which part of my outfit violated their published dress code, and address how the three hosts treated me. No guest should be pointed at, stared at, or made to feel inferior while staff members collectively assess their appearance. Thankfully, the evening ended on a positive note. As we were leaving, we met actor Deji LaRay, who was incredibly kind and gracious enough to take this picture with us. A disappointing experience led to an unexpected and pleasant encounter. Solid Atlanta lounge experience with a great view. We went just before sunset, which I'd highly recommend. The cocktails were well done, and the overall ambiance feels upscale, so it's worth being a bit thoughtful about what you wear. It was a rainy evening and we were mainly looking for somewhere to take shelter, and this place was exactly what we needed. The timing, the view, and the drinks all landed just right.
Very nice spot.... Rooftop lounge with a great view. The inside is very swanky and the outside is a chill wrap around. The small bites are very solid as well. Bartenders were really friendly and cool. Def nice for a date night or hang out with friends.
Made a reservation a few days in advance for Moonlight and thought it was interesting that they included a disclaimer saying reservations don't guarantee seating. Luckily, it was a quiet night, so we were seated right away. The ambiance was super cool -- from the zebra couch to the velvet bar, it felt like we'd been transported to Miami. Unfortunately, that ended up being the only highlight of our visit. There were only three other parties in the entire bar, yet there were more than twice as many servers and bartenders. Still, it took over 20 minutes for our two cocktails to arrive. Not only was the wait excessive, but our server was also extremely unprofessional -- sucking on a lollipop while helping us and offering little to no guidance. I also noticed there wasn't an espresso martini on the cocktail menu, but there was one listed on the non-alcoholic menu. I asked if it would be possible to make it alcoholic, and the server said "no problem." When the check came, I was shocked to see I'd been charged for the non-alcoholic drink plus an additional $18 to add Tito's -- making the total for one (terrible-tasting) cocktail $34. I couldn't believe that extra charge wasn't mentioned when I asked about it. Truly unfortunate, because I really wanted to like this place.
Moonlight is a relatively new cocktail bar in Old Fourth Ward located in the Fourth Hotel. They have a variety of cocktails ranging from around $12-20. I would recommend making a reservation, especially on a weekend at sunset, but they do take walk-ins and you can get added to a waitlist or try to find an unreserved table. The view from the rooftop is spectacular. You can see almost all of Atlanta. It's a really nice spot to grab a cocktail and enjoy the views.
I definitely think moonlight is a cute little spot to go to! It's right above a hotel, and has a great view of the city. If you want parking validated. Make sure to park in a garage and get a TICKET - do not park above ground. From the looks inside, it's clear they're trying to curate a very chill vibe, 70s inspired. I liked the style of the bar and the velvet through the room. One thing I noticed was the purse hooks that were under the bar counter - points for that but- why are there no bar chairs? I'm here for standing room but wow- there is a lot of empty space between the bar and the couches. The bar seating won't take away from the aura trust me. The girlies come dressed for a good time, heels on, the music is great, but sometimes we want to sit - and not have more than our legs on display. The seating here is very low so be aware of where your body is facing. I had to let some women know that men were looking up their skirts... The drinks were okay- we tried four different ones, but the universal remote was the best thing I had. Not too sweet and the pandan really came through- my drink tasked like the holidays. The grilled cheese was okay - I do think the menu should have had fries! A bowl of fries goes so well with cocktails. Not sure if I'd come back here any time soon, but if I did - it would be for the universal remote !

My niece was visiting and said she wanted to go to a spot that had skyline views. She found Moonlight via Tik Tok. We were having dinner a few miles away from this spot so we decided to check it out. A few things to note : 1. This is located on the rooftop of FORTH Hotel & Social Club. 2. There is plenty of street parking and a decent size parking lot in the area. This is Atlanta, so expect to pay to park . We parked in the parking lot and it was about $10 for an hour. When we walked into the hotel we were greeted with a smile. The staff asked us if we had reservations for moonlight - we did not. This was not an issue for us. She apparently booked us and placed us on the elevator to the rooftop. When we got off we were greeted again. It was clear that the staff was notified that we were heading up! It had been raining so the staff advised us she would have to check to see if any of the outdoor seating was dry! Lucky for us there was one section that was dry! Once seated another staff came over and greeted us and asked us what we wanted to drink. He was friendly and had a great personality. My total party size was 3. My niece and friend both orders alcoholic drinks- I opted for a virgin expresso martini. My drink was just ok- I would not order it again. If my memory serves me correct my friend and niece enjoyed their drinks. I will say the food menu is small but I would love to come back and give the food a try. Now- the real winner here-- the views! It's worth coming here for that alone. I also enjoyed the music they were playing- it was like old school r&b. Overall this spot is worth checking out !
A total vibe. I was there around 7:30/8:00 on a Friday. Do not go hungry. Menu is small. Drinks are good. Service was on point. Located right on the Beltline. This was great for after work Happy Hour to get the night started.
Moonlight has been one of Atlanta's tougher to get rooftop bars since its opening. Booked up nearly all the time and for some good reasons. There probably isn't a bar in the city that offers as breathtaking of a view as does Moonlight. The panorama of all three of Atlanta's skyscraper centers is clearly visible, along with the historical architecture of Ponce City Market. The crowd is mix of tourists and locals in their 20s and 30s. The cocktails are solid. Food is decent, nothing to rave about, but again, hopefully nobody is here for the food. The lobster roll was very bread heavy and the useless dab of caviar was just a wasteful decoration. Yet, the atmosphere of the place, situated in the beautiful Forth hotel makes Moonlight an incredible spot for drinks. read more

First thing I will say is that this place is BEAUTIFUL. Staff is helpful and prices are reasonable for specialized cocktails. Please do not expect a full dinner but there are great options to keep the night going. I was kinda sad that both myself and my friend were celebrating our birthday but because we were the same table, we could only get one glass of champagne. It does get crowded and I really suggest making a reservation. I made one and even still it took ages to get a table. A reservation doesn't promise a table right away but keeps you in an active queue. I can't wait to go back again. read more

so i don't have any photos of my drinks but my dirty martini was delightful. i've never eaten dinner here, but ive heard mixed reviews. BUT definitely come here for a drink if you're in the beltline or a pre/post dinner cocktail in OFW. this is definitely a more upscale rooftop, as compared to new realm or azara. bartending staff was nice and attentive. then try to grab a table outside or just stand on the balcony if you can and watch the best view on the Eastside in my opinion. read more

Yep. This place is definitely one of those ones. Came here on a Saturday night after dinner to finish the night off here and I only have great things to say. I had a reservation for 10:30 and we were escorted to the rooftop pretty promptly. I did hear the hostess say the wait time was about 40 minutes if you didn't have a reservation. The reservation guarantees entrance, but DOES NOT guarantee a table. For a Saturday there was a decent amount of people, but most definitely not over crowded they do a good job of limiting people coming in. Luckily we were able to get a table! The service I experienced here was just as top tier as the bar (Rooftop Bar. Get it?) Our Server Sofi! Was great! Super fun, attentive, so fye!! We ordered the Cinnamon girl, high fidelity, moon shadow, and dream weaver. All of which were exception drinks! We also had the caviar which was exquisite!! The views of the city are unmatched! The drinks exceptional and the service was perfect. There's not a better rooftop bar in Atlanta. You're welcome! read more

Waited 30 minutes to order a drink while standing at the bar. The bartender forgot my order and went on to help others, then finally came back to take my order. Not very friendly. There is NO A/C inside and we are in Georgia! Views are nice, but that's about it. read more

This rooftop bar is what I needed in Atlanta. In the OFW area. Top of the fourth hotel. Very new. Contemporary. I didn't try the food but the cocktails were crafting. The outside area is beautiful. Beautiful sunset. loved this place. Great date night or to go out with friends. Service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and followed us as we moved outside. Very appreciative of that. read more
I went on a Saturday evening and had such a great experience at this rooftop. The bartenders were super friendly and made excellent drinks. The view of the Atlanta skyline was absolutely beautiful, definitely one of the highlights. We sat at the bar, which worked out perfectly, but I'd recommend making a reservation if you want a table. That said, we were able to walk in without one, so it's definitely doable. Great atmosphere, great service, and stunning views, highly recommend! read more

I love this place... Gotta start out by saying that. As of the time of this one...it has only been opened for real for real for maybe 3 or 4 months. This is a bar with good vibes and good bartenders on deck. Mariama and Cree took great care of me. Superior views... Absolutely stunning. It's a good view of PCM and downtown. Plenty of couch seating outside and inside as well. They got the 70s and 80s music playing in the background. It is absolutely a vibe that I'm here for. Dreamweaver - great drink choice. Kind of a variation on a Manhattan but it's sweeter and more of a savory flavor (because it has chocolate and coffee involved). This was good and I would get it again. Moon shadow - now this is a grown old fashioned forward type drink. It has a hint (to me) of coffee, but only a bit. It is the bourbon that's sweetened and the bitters add to the flavor. It was pretty decent. I have gotten a few martinis from here as well and was not disappointed. Overall it seems like a place that you want to keep to yourself but then again you want to tell everybody about as well lol. You take the elevator up and after that, you are very well taken care of and tended to. If it's nice outside, the outside seats are super clutch. Definitely worth the trip! read more
Saturday night, out with the girls. Decided to check out this new bar. When I arrived, I met with the hostess who told me there would be a little wait to go up and standing room only. 10 short minutes later, I was let up and met another hostess outside the elevator. She informed me of where everything was, so I took a loop around the building. I noticed they had several seating options outside that weren't for reservations, which is a great plus. I found a spot on the couch and enjoyed the views with a delicious old fashioned. I found parking in the neighboring deck. 20% gratuity added to all tips. Great staff, and beautiful views. Recommend reservations for guaranteed seating. read more

Enjoyed an early evening at Moonlight. Reservations are a must especially as the night goes on and the music and crowd pic up. It starts getting busier around 8-9pm. The lounge has great views of the city and patio seating. The bar serves cocktails, wine, and small bites. Everything is a bit on the pricy side. Food is small if you're really hungry stop downstairs first. We sat at the bar. Server was lovely enjoyed the flyby! Parking in the lot outside the hotel is $5/2 hours. There was a sign for valet but I didn't see it. Receptionist for moonlight is by the staircase inside. read more
Super vibey bar with arguably the best and most unique view of the city. They thought of style when designing this bar it is beautiful, come dressed up. The drinks were delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were very kind both in the hotel and behind the bar. Get a reservation and take some pictures at sunset read more
Moonlight in ATL is a sleek new addition to Atlanta's rooftop bar scene, and it's already shining. The chic ambiance sets the perfect vibe for a night out for drinks/snacks. The mirrored wall behind the bar was beautiful. The drinks were fantastic -- each cocktail was a pleasure to sip on. But the true reason for our visit was the view: a stunning panoramic of Atlanta's skyline and a sunset surprise. The service here deserves a special mention, too. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Moonlight is stylish yet relaxed which it's couch or patio seating. It is absolutely worth a visit. read more
Went to Moonlight at the Fourth Hotel on a Saturday night. We had to "check in" with the hotel staff before being allowed access up to the rooftop bar. Once there, we checked in again at the hostess stand. The bar itself isn't very large inside but it's well decorated and the outside area offers a beautiful city view. The drinks were more reasonable than I anticipated, ranging from 13-17 dollars. I enjoyed both the Moonshadow and Dreamweaver. The bar also played mainly a funky selection of 70 and 80s music. Overall, I enjoyed Moonlight for a night cap spot and will definitely be back! read more

Moonlight is a new concept for Atlanta! It's a caviar bar! I could barely find anything on them, prior to going, but was intrigued by the mystery. It's apart of the FORTH hotel and located off of Rankin street and adjacent to the Beltline. A friend invited me for drinks. I was shocked when I got there and was escorted to the elevator and sent to the top floor of the hotel. Upon arriving you walk into a chic and vibrant bar, but have the flexibility to be seated outside. The outside features a 365 view of Atlanta and offers a breathtaking view of Atlanta's sunset, if you time your reservation. We went around 6:30pm and my makeup stayed in tact. Everyone was dressed to impress, but not overly dressed. The vibe gives a Sex and the City feel and something totally different than what we see everywhere else in Atlanta. Moonlight is not somewhere you visit for a meal, but instead a few drinks and tapas. There's plenty to choose from, when it comes to drinks. I appreciated them having a nonalcoholic drink list and was told by their server that the bartender could also make anything nonalcoholic. Drinks: I opted for the Espresso Martini! Nonalcoholic of course! Its takes a minute to receive it, but I found out that they use fresh espresso and they have to retrieve it from downstairs. For my second drink I allowed the bartender to surprise me! The drink was delicious and refreshing. It featured a tropical taste. Food: The menu for Moonlight features mostly items that are made with Caviar, hence it being a Caviar bar. Deviled Eggs- Absolutely amazing! Please get this! I like that they almost use the entire egg, instead of giving you a half of an egg and charging full price. The egg was topped with an orange caviar and as you take your last bite, you receive a smoked trout sensation on the back of your tongue. 10/10 Lobster Roll- Again a must try! It was the lobster concoction, that featured black caviar on it and served on an in-house brioche mini bun. It was very flavorful and as you take your last bite of the bread, you can taste the buttery crust of the brioche bun! 10/10 Sea Scallop Aguachile- This was a ceviche styled scallop dish. It had cucumber, radish, avocado and a smoked trout Roe (orange caviar). It was garnished with jalapeños and served with chips. I loved the flavors, but would've like to have more jalapeños for spice. 8/10 Caviar Bump- In the spirit of being fancy, we also tried the Caviar Bump. The caviar bump is essentially a small tasting spoon of black caviar and served with house made chips. The chips provide the salt and makes the bump delightful. The chips were made in house and are light and crispy. 9/10 Grilled Cheese- I don't think anyone can make a bad grilled cheese. The bread was toasted perfectly and buttery. They served it with a miso honey mustard sauce, which was tangy and interesting. The grill cheese was satisfying with or without it. 10/10 Moonlight is definitely a place to impress someone over drinks or to catch a snack before going to one of their other restaurants in the building. Swanky rooftop bar that has caviar service. This is one of the nicest rooftop bars I've ever been to. You'll want to dress a little nicer coming here. We went on a Friday at 6:30pm and it was packed. We didn't have a reservation as all the tables were full so we sat at the bar. The view of the city is exquisite. You can easily see from downtown to Buckhead. The drinks are pricey starting off at 14 dollars, but all unique and worth it. Andrew was our bar tender and he was so friendly, and extremely helpful. I really enjoyed this place! We came early-ish for a Saturday (they open at 5, we got there at 6) and it was already bustling with people. We were luckily able to snag the last two seats at the bar. I was pleasantly surprised the cocktail prices don't break the bank for the ambiance that is there! It's a beautifully decorated space with stunning views overlooking the city. Cocktails on the menu were about $14-$18 if I remember correctly. They also offered 2 mocktail options and a full bar if you wanted to choose something else. I got the cinnamon girl which was a semi-sweet but smokey mezcal drink that I really enjoyed. Service was prompt, the bartenders were kind and helped with recommendations and I can't wait to be back! I should add that there is a dress code, it says business smart or something like that. You check in downstairs with the host and then only they have the access to allow you to the rooftop. We missed the host stand at the bottom and we were confused when we were unable to find it on the elevator. read more
