Stopped here for some pre-dinner cocktails on a Sunday: subpar espresso martini, fairly good aperol spritz. Friendly service, expansive indoor and outdoor space, bustling neighborhood with other restaurants within walking distance. Also came here on a Friday night and it was jam-packed. Friendly bouncers.

Casual bar that pays homage to the '80s and '90s. They project old movies on the walls and they have lots of pictures of well-known TV dads from our childhood all around. I sat at the bar and ordered a French 75 and an Espresso Martini and asked them to add some Kahlúa to the latter. The French 75 was poorly executed (too much lemon juice made it too tart and they put the Prosecco in the bottom of the glass first which makes all the bubbles flat), but the Espresso Martini was delicious! I also ordered the White Castle Burgers to eat, which were four burger sliders with cheese, caramelized onions, and a pickle, and those were delicious and they came with a side of waffle fries. Overall, it was a good experience though so I would return.

First off, try the Disco Fries. Second, try every cocktail on the menu. Third, tip your bartenders well. Dad's has cool vibes, great service, tasty food, and delicious drinks. 10/10 would go again.

They hold a jazz night every Tuesday with live music for a nice chill, yet fun, vibe. Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.

Now this was a treat…read more I had no idea Little Spirit was tucked away where it is--I usually frequent Delbar just up the street--so stumbling upon this spot was such a pleasant surprise. I know the word gets overused, but it truly was a whole vibe. What I loved most is that it's the kind of place where everyone feels welcome. There's no pressure, no strict dress code--just a come-as-you-are energy, and people genuinely receive you that way. Within five minutes of being there, I already felt comfortable. Everyone was so friendly--the bartenders, the people around us, even the random interactions felt warm and easy. The space itself is really cool too. They have artwork featuring icons like Prince, Tupac, and Biggie, which added to the overall atmosphere. We ordered the King Peach (I believe it had bourbon--I did take a picture of the menu, though it's a little cut off), and it was really good. Smooth, flavorful, and easy to sip. They're open until 2 AM, so it's a great spot whether you're grabbing a drink with friends, on a date, or even just stopping by solo to soak in the energy. It's one of those places where you can just be. I'd love to make this a regular spot--definitely somewhere I can see myself coming back to at least once a month.

Italian Steakhouse Says It All - The Best of All Worlds…read more Walked into IL Premio on a Monday night and was told there was an hour wait for a table, so I headed to the bar- fortunately, a seat was open. I started with one of my favorite Reposados by Herradura. For my Crudi, I ordered the Ricciola alla Puttanesca, what i thought was going to be a classic Italian seafood dish that traditionally features ricciola (Italian amberjack) in puttanesca sauce. The menu noted it was made with yellowtail, which piqued my curiosity. I expected the ricciola to be pan-seared or lightly grilled and finished with the sauce, or served with the sauce spooned over the top. To my surprise, the dish arrived as thinly sliced raw yellowtail, presented sashimi/crudo-style. Each slice was topped with a small amount of sauce infused with capers, Taggiasca olives, Calabrese chiles, and possibly sun-dried tomatoes, all classic puttanesca ingredients. Microgreens completed the presentation. This could be described as a "ricciola crudo with puttanesca-style garnish" rather than a traditional cooked ricciola alla puttanesca. Essentially, the chef uses the puttanesca flavor profile (capers, olives, chiles, tomato, oil) as a raw topping instead of cooking the fish in the sauce. While it's raw, it's a modern, crudo-style interpretation inspired by puttanesca flavors and I'm a fan. I'll order it again and again. For my Secondi, I had the Risotto ai Funghi, a classic Italian dish featuring creamy arborio rice with shiitake and hen-of-the-woods (maitake) mushrooms and a hint of lemon. Served piping hot, it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, I enjoyed another Reposado by Herradura. IL Premio is so much more than a steakhouse. The food is thoughtfully prepared, the atmosphere is refined, service by Janlan was excellent and it is a fitting restaurant for an outstanding hotel property.
