I highly recommend Bully Boy--it's a fantastic restaurant, once you're able to find it! Just a heads-up: the entrance is a little hidden. As you drive through the shared lot (with several businesses), look to the left near the valet for Two Urban Licks. The sign is only visible as you exit the lot, so it's easy to miss. Also, parking isn't free--you'll need to scan a QR code or text to pay. We made online reservations to celebrate my husband's birthday and were glad we did. Our server, Robert, was fantastic--attentive without being overbearing. He made great recommendations and was happy to move us from a small table to a more comfortable booth when we asked. They offer a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, but we opted for "Mocktail #2," which was pink, fruity, and refreshing with watermelon, mint, and lime soda. We started with the Chargrilled Louisiana Oysters, which were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious--honestly, the best I've ever had. The Volcano Roll was also great--generous in size and perfect for sharing. It's listed as having "spicy crab," but I didn't find it spicy at all (a plus for me!). If you want more heat, wasabi is served on the side. For entrees, I had the Salmon Teriyaki and my husband had the Braised Beef. My salmon was perfectly cooked and came with fluffy white rice and mixed vegetables. But he definitely won the entree round--his beef was tender, flavorful, and served with what tasted like sweet mashed potatoes (the menu said red potatoes). The glazed carrots were slightly firm but still tasty. To top it all off, we were served a mini chocolate cake with whipped vanilla icing--soft, rich, and perfect for sharing. The inside isn't the largest resource been to, but has plenty of seating. The atmosphere is relaxed and we saw people dressed up and down. Overall, we had a great experience. Took myself on a solo date to decompress from the work day. I decided to go to Bully Boy because I was craving some sushi and wanted something new. I made a reservation but ended up sitting at the bar upon my arrival. The music inside was a vibe and when I arrived it was busy but not packed. The bartender for the night was amazing and super helpful. Everything across the board was really good. I would order the duck spring rolls and chargrilled oysters again for sure. The highlight of my night was the Godzilla roll! I was stuck between ordering the Godzilla or the Spicy Yellowtail rolls. Highly recommend sharing plates with friends! The food here is excellent and the mezcal drink is superb. My faves were the brussel sprouts, the cocktail, and the assortment of sushi we tried. The volcano and yellowtail roll were top but honestly the firecracker and dragon were close 2nd. You can't go wrong with any. We also tried the beef gyoza and rock shrimp tempura. This is an Atlanta hidden gem (literally). Located behind the belt line and Two Urban Licks, this industrial and cozy design Asian restaurant is a must try. Perfect for date nights or smaller groups, they crank out Japanese inflicted dishes tapas style. They have this amazing cocktail (Nigori Spritz) that I'd happily go back for. My favorite dishes of the night were the mussels, oysters from Virginia and their spicy yellowtail roll. Service was fantastic and everything that we ordered came out perfectly. I heard about this place through unintentional eavesdropping in on conversations that were being had in the Buckhead Business District. I should have know from that alone that it would be a three star experience. Let's start with the positives. This place is located a stones throw from the East Atlanta Beltline in what used to be a storage shed for the half dozen manufacturing operations that once existed in this part of town. The space is beautifully thought out and composed - serious kudos to their interior designer. The cocktail menu was carefully crafted yet simple. They did highlight subtle, Asian influenced flavors in their drinks and I give them credit for that. Food wise, I'd inhale four or five of their SPAM musubis if given a private room away from the what would be the horrified looks of fellow diners. As a certified SPAM slut I was impressed with what they did with the ingredient. The yellowfish roll was also fresh and perfectly seasoned. Now for the negatives. To me, it seemed like the only "fusion" that was occurring here is placing Whole Foods radish microgreens on every plate of Japanese food that comes out of the kitchen. I'm serious - look at the photos. It reached comical levels of biophilic absurdity - almost to the point where I had to stop and reflect deeply on all the poor vegetables that could have been. The tuna roll annihilated my palate with a level of saltiness that's akin to dropping a thermobaric bomb filled with the stuff directly on my tongue. I feel like I was forcefully transported back in time to the days of eating canned tuna in a middle school cafeteria lunchroom. Although back then, I didn't have to fork over $18. A real miss. Nobody would have to bully this boy to come back here. We had a great experience here on a Friday night. After we got stuck in a little traffic, we called the restaurant to let them know we were running late for our reservation and they were more than happy to hold it for us. We're so glad they did! Service was prompt and great. We ordered three appetizers and all was just fantastic. Wings were thoroughly seasoned and the sauce to accompany was sweet and delicious. The sprouts (which I feel are served at every millennial-friendly restaurant these days) were perfect. The oysters were great and served wirh two mignonettes (garlic and pomegranate) and they went down easy. Get the spicy tuna avocado bomb. It's exactly what you expect and despite my deftness with chopsticks, I recommend getting at it with a fork and knife. Sashimi was fresh and cut thick to get our money's worth. The dragon roll used real crab which was a nice touch. Drink selection was great with an impressive wine list (much like sister restaurant two urban licks). This restaurant is styled in a very industrial manner without feeling cold. Love a big, open kitchen and the whole place smells like good food being prepared. Love paying my check by phone especially when pricing is fair. No doubt this is a pricier spot but I feel like we got a lot for the money. This place is a winner - 5/5 we'll be back. read more

It was beautifully presented but a tad sweet so if you order it be prepared for that. I've visited BB multiple times and it hasn't disappointed me yet. The volcano roll is my absolute favorite, but it is pretty large so bring your appetite if you're going to order that. The service is always great. My one and only issue is that it doesn't have great parking and it shares a valet with two urban licks, so you have to either walk down a car ramp with oncoming traffic or a wheelchair ramp with trees coming at you to get to the restaurant from the valet. read more

The ambiance is nice, tables nicely positioned. I enjoyed the space between tables, it wasn't overly crowded. Our service was great. The waiter, I believe his name was Bee, was very knowledgeable of the menu. We tried many things, and loved them all. However, the rock shrimp did not stand out like the others. My absolute favorites were the brussel sprouts and both sushi rolls! Overall, great experience! I would recommend this place for small groups and dates. I would also return. Bully Boy is tucked tightly away next to Two Urban Licks and right by the belt line (Ponce City). We made a reservation randomly and they have plenty of times/reservations to choose from. Service was impeccable from start to finish. Not sure why it's called Bully when the service was nothing but nice folks. But I ain't complaining none. Parking can be iffy, but they do have valet and self parking areas. I chose to do self parking and found it pretty easy to navigate. Food was great, slightly salty in some bites but overall it was enjoyable. Dishes came out in a timely manner and the online menu made it easy to both order and pay at the end. Portions are meant to be shared, and that ain't an understatement. Between my wife and I, we chose different dishes to try and were not disappointed. This place is hit and miss. We had numerous issues with our food orders. Some items came out timely and were really good (Crispy Brussels, Fried Shrimp apps and sushi). But other items came out super late (chicken skewers app), not at all, lacked flavor and any seasoning (grilled mitake) or were inedibly salty (salmon entree). To top things off, service was poor. Or server rarely checked up on us and told us lies about why we were waiting so long for food items. At first she told us that the chicken skewers app took a long time to prepare, that's why we were still waiting for it 30 mins into our evening. Later, when we inquired again, she stated that the first one was burnt and had to be recooked. An hour later, after entrees were served they magically appeared. At the end of service, our server inquired how was everything despite all the food mishaps. I mentioned that her service was subpar. As empty dishes and glassed piled up and cluttered the table she never offered to remove them. I had to suggest she take them away so we'd have room for the next items. She was also very unattentive. We literally had to yell to get her attention so we could get service throughout the night. She did apologize and stated that this was not her best night and that she was dealing with some personal issues but that was not an excuse. She also suggested we come on a Wednesday or Sunday, we could get better service on those, days, I found that statement quite comical. Overall, I appreciate her owning up to her shortcomings and hope she grows from this experience. We will not be returning. read more

This was a 5 star meal that deserves to be known! From getting seated to service to food, everything was spectacular. Shout out to our server Beau (or Bo lol) as he was truly the best server! He was very attentive and was super friendly and made us feel welcome since this was our first time dining here. I guess when my husband made reservations, he notated that we're here celebrating my birthday and our server brought us 2 glasses of champagne, YAY! Our server also explained that everything on their menu is meant to be shared. We got 5 dishes - crispy Brussels, grilled mitake, spirited away roll, rainbow roll and miso cod. We went for Sunday brunch on Easter. They aren't usually open this early, and the place was empty. I was ok with that! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I ordered chicken and waffles. My fiancé ordered two sushi rolls. ALL of the food was tasty and fresh. My chicken was cooked to perfection. I would recommend the sushi is rolled tighter or spray the plate so the roll doesn't stick. Half of the rolls fell apart due to extreme stickiness with the plate and rice.
