Very cool lowkey neighborhood bar. The drinks were pretty good, service was solid just a nice intimate cocktail bar to enjoy company with a small group of friends or a good date night.

I really like this place. It's in a beautiful neighborhood and I love the atmosphere. Isaiah was so nice, great service. Cute place to relax, very chill and comfortable. The had board games you could play which I love.

My friends and family stumbled upon this place after leaving a comedy show. Its in a very cute and quaint area in Grant Park. I haven't been in the area before, so I was quite impressed. There are other establishments nearby, walking distance. This place gives the esthetics for a great date night. Its a loungy feel, so there's couches and chairs. We found a spot that accommodated our party. After seating ourselves, we were promptly greeted. The nice man asked of we wanted water to began with, then asked if we were ready to order. I ordered a prosecco. It was refreshing. They even had board games for entertainment. I would love to re-visit again, while also checking out some other spots. I did see that they had paid paid and self street parking.

An awesome place to relax and unwind. Either outdoors or inside the ambience is just what the doctor ordered. Their tapas menu is extensive with culinary delight, such as red snapper in coconut milk or chicken tacos, you will find something good to munch on while sipping top tier Wine.

So I love anything James Bond, let me just get that out of the way! Casino Royale is one of my favorite movies. I thoroughly enjoy it from beginning to end. So when I found out there was a bar named vesper, I immediately put it on my radar. I've been here a couple of times but I never really thought to do a review about it. So let's try it now. It's a very small shop as far as the establishment. They have a lot of couch seating there, and they have a fairly decent size bar. Not big though. So you may fit less than 10 people at the bar because they're predominantly looking to have people sitting in couch type sections. It's nice because you get to be tucked away if you want to go ahead and have a date or have a intimate group of friends. But if you want to turn up, this is not the spot for that. The service is okay there, don't really have any complaints about it. You'll sit down and then they'll come and take your order. It wasn't the quickest but the guy took the order. Definitely stayed engaged and kept the water coming while the drinks were still being prepared at the bar. The decor around it is pretty dope. It's very artsy and spy Deco if that makes any sense. I enjoy the ambiance a lot. There is street parking and there are a couple of lots that are in the neighborhood and other establishments you can park at. I believe that they're all paid parking though, so don't expect to have free parking here in Grant Park in the specific area. The first hour or two was free and I was actually parking at the pizza spot down the street. So I had the Bonita, it's a tequila drink that it was pretty decent. Good presentation, probably wouldn't get it again but it was okay. Just to know, this shop is more geared toward Jen and vodka than it is whiskey so that's why I just had to pick something on the menu because there were not a lot of bourbon or whiskey options for me. I'm not upset about that though. Overall it's definitely a place you want to try just to dug off and see what it's about. There are a couple good eating spots around there so you could have some food and then have some drinks all on the same trip and not even move your car.

We LOVED our experience at Vesper! It's a quaint but very vibey downtown spot that specializes in cocktails and small plates. We got the Tuna Tataki, which was out of this world from a flavor and freshness standpoint. We also enjoyed a beautifully crafted charcuterie board and the Naan pizza -- both of which were absolutely delicious. The cocktails are ON point, and the service is top notch. Highly recommend stopping into Vesper if you're in the area!

A busy neighborhood bar with a tv playing old movies and music too loud to talk over. Couch sections available for group hangouts or could be tucked in the corner in a 2 seat high table for intimate chats. Quesadilla was not good. Flavorless and tasted burnt (with chicken). Tuna was ok but the texture tasted weird. Drinks were not as yummy as I thought it would be, with a name like vesper (my fav drink btw). Although it certainly scratch the itch

If you're looking for the best martinis in town, VESPER IS IT. YOU MADE IT!!! My girlfriends had been raving about Vesper and we finally set a date for me to see what the hype was all about and I was not disappointed. They have some dog friendly outdoor seating, although in nice weather, it goes fast. There is plenty of room inside, but once peak hours hit, you'd be lucky to find a seat, let alone standing room. So get there earlier to ensure a table or seat! Espresso Martinis (on the menu as May Day) here are a MUST - I have been told I also need to come back and try their whiskey espresso martinis so I will leave that review pending for now. The Vesper Lynd is a classic bond inspired cocktail that is also my general drink of choice - and they do it right! I tried the molten lava chocolate cake on another visit to pair with my espresso martini and it was just ok. At least there was the inside was molten, but we found it to be a bit grainy and way too sweet. Will skip that one next time and stick to liquid calories LOL. I WILL be back for those whiskey espresso martinis ASAP. Although I've heard that tequila or rum espresso martinis are the new thing right now? I'll ask the bartender :)

What an absolutely cool spot, reminds me of my NYC days. This is a more intimate spot and can accommodate a small group of friends. They have a good amount of bar space and the bartenders are pretty cool. Many bars today I think Dont make the best cocktails anymore. It's either too much or less of an ingredient. I ordered a coffee martini and dude was it made really well. Taste like if I would have made it at home. Great location snuggled in a cozy neighborhood. I love the couches and the locals there very chill. Music was on point as well. High enough to enjoy the music but low enough to have a conversation with someone next to me or date. Hopefully they were playing music and it wasn't just the music in my head lol.

I've been going to Vesper for a few years now so I'm surprised I haven't already written a review! The space is fairly small and can be intimate but the décor is beautiful. Plush, cozy couches and art on the walls gives this place a colorful vibe and the light fixtures add a touch of elegance. The cocktails here are pretty solid and range from classics like Negronis and Manhattans, to Espresso Martinis, to their specialty cocktails like the Tilly Masterson. They do not have a huge kitchen so the food menu is a bit limited. However, they offer tapas or smaller size bites to accompany your drinks. One of my favorites has been the Lobster Quesadilla. All in all, Vesper is a great neighborhood option to get a late night snack and a decent craft cocktail.

This place is so amazing that we even had our micro wedding here! Amazing cocktails, great food, kind service and just all-around good vibes. If you are looking for a welcoming place with intimate and relaxing vibes, check out Vesper! Recommend the May-day (espresso martini), Damien's Manhattan and the charcuterie for a perfect date or girls (or guys) night.

Had the best time at Vesper. I enjoyed the 007 theming, which the casual customer would not have noticed, but the die-hard Bond fan would appreciate. The drinks (named after Bond girls) were all delicious, with different flavors and tastes. The bartenders, Mark; Colleen, and April all took excellent care of me and gave me their recommendations of what drinks I should try next. The food was also excellent, as was the live music courtesy of Ben. I am desperately searching for an excuse to come back to Atlanta so I can come back to this bar.

Wow..what can I say..my fiancee and I stumbled on this great spot. The atmosphere and ambience was perfect. The food was awesome. The drinks are well crafted and made with precision. We were looking for somewhere to go to have some good cocktails. The bartender and drink menu far exceeded our expectations..I can see what all the buzz is about..if you want a signature cocktail experience this is the spot.

Our server, Trey, was awesome. He was attentive, friendly, and really helped make the experience smooth from start to finish. One thing I loved about Argosy is the ambiance. It can go either way--you can keep it super casual or dress it up a bit for a night out. I also noticed they have karaoke on certain nights, which I definitely plan on coming back for. We started with cocktails and ordered the Rosé Cadillac (I took a picture of the menu for details), and it was really good. As a self-proclaimed lightweight, I appreciated that it was enjoyable without being too overwhelming. For food, we split a wood-fired pizza--the "Boss Hogg"--and each got a six-piece order of lemon pepper wings. The wings were okay, but the pizza? Absolutely slammin. Looking back, I definitely should've taken some home. Overall, Argosy feels like one of those spots that works for any occasion--date night, casual hangout, or group outing. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu and bring some friends along.

I've visited countless times, often multiple times a week, with friends, family, and colleagues. We consistently ordered generously and tipped well. Unfortunately, a recent experience has led my husband and I to decide we will no longer spend another dollar here, personally or for business. While sitting on the bar side, minding my own business, I was repeatedly harassed by a visibly intoxicated woman who deliberately sat next to me to start trouble. She stared at me continuously, and made unsolicited, offensive assumptions about my marriage. My husband was sitting to my left, completely unaware of what was transpiring as he was listening to some music through his Meta glasses. I initially ignored the woman's behavior and tried to laugh it off because I simply came to eat in peace. However, the situation escalated when she began directing inappropriate questions toward my husband and attempting to provoke him. Despite her continued escalation, other patrons jumped in to defend her and one even threatened my husband, portraying her as the victim. When we attempted to explain the situation to Jason (who I believe is the bar manager), rather than hearing us out, we were told the police were being called on us. We were not the aggressors and did nothing wrong. It was deeply frustrating to be dismissed and treated as though we were at fault when we were only defending ourselves. What makes this experience especially upsetting is that we have always been respectful, trouble-free patrons for 13 years! The bar staff that evening was dismissive and, at times, rude. There was no apparent effort to address how this intoxicated individual was disrupting the environment, continuing to insult my husband, and repeatedly putting her hand in his face to provoke him. To my knowledge, she was never asked to leave nor threatened with police involvement. She left only when she chose to. Only the server who brought out our food showed any level of concern or professionalism. The bartenders and another staff member in the back (a bald person, don't know their role) made it clear we were not welcome and ultimately called the police. We are owed an apology. While I don't expect one, I'm leaving this review to warn other customers (especially people of color) to be mindful of how quickly a place you've supported for years can turn on you and how we're quickly seen as the problem just because we get loud when we've been disrespected. I would strongly advise going to another place in the neighborhood like The Beverly if you want to avoid situations like the one we experienced. After more than a decade of loyal support, we understand the value we bring as customers and as people. Respect should never be conditional or situational. When a business fails to protect that basic standard, it's our responsibility to set boundaries and take our patronage where it's valued.

The restaurant was recently rebranded and I was curious to see what was new. I stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in. Seating was open at the time and Noah, who was both the bartender and our server, greeted us with water right away. I have never been impressed by a casual restaurant's menu design before, but The Pub at EAV truly stands out. It is well thought out and visually appealing. I had been eyeing the tom yum wings for a while and ordered them as an appetizer. They were flavorful and served hot. The restaurant also provides complimentary house made pickles, and they were genuinely good. For my drink, I tried the Sneaky Link cocktail. Noah added muddled strawberries because it was a fresh batch and needed a little balance. I would honestly recommend keeping the strawberries as part of the drink because it turned out delicious. For entrées, we ordered the Heck Fire Burger and chose to have the bread served shareable style. They bake their bread in house and it is so good that they could easily offer a bread service option on its own. We also tried the lamb shank which was tender and very well prepared. The only disappointment of the entire evening was the bread pudding. It was recommended with a lot of enthusiasm which made me excited to try it. I ordered it to go and reheated it at home. Unfortunately, it tasted freezer burnt and slightly cross contaminated, almost as if it had absorbed the flavor of another item nearby. I am not a picky eater, but I could only take a couple of bites. Overall, The Pub at EAV is a great addition to the neighborhood. I like anything that's close to a speakeasy or hidden bar so this was really up my alley. So it's in Summerhill. You can pretty much park wherever you can find parking. There may be street or there may be a lot but there's still plenty of parking because there's a bunch of stuff on this block. And you don't have to worry about paying so that's a plus. You'll find the building that's painted and then take that door and go downstairs into the basement. Considering how light and bright the neighborhood is, the actual basement itself is pretty dark and kind of intimate. It's very dimly lit with candles but it gives it some character. I'd already eaten and drunk so I just stopped in for one more drink before I left the side of town. I only really had one drink but it was a pretty good drink. The bartender was the only reason I didn't give it a five-star rating. I thought that the vibe was good and the cocktail was good and the general aesthetic was very pleasing but she didn't actually act like she wanted to serve anybody at the bar. I'm a bartender so I know that service definitely matters. The patrons can pick up on when you're not energetic or at least trying to be energetic with them and I definitely pick that vibe up. We asked what the favorite drink of hers was and she said whatever the easiest drink was. Also asked what were the favorite drinks of the general population. She said all of them. She didn't give any thought to answering the question, didn't even try to lie about it. LOL. I have the M&M Manhattan and it was good. It's a smoky style drink so if you're not into mezcal smoke, you may not like it but I thought it was very savory and not too sweet whatsoever. Overall I would definitely go back. Outside of what I was picking up from the bartender, it's a really good vibe and you can probably walk from multiple places on this block and then end up here as a last cocktail before the night's over.
