Honestly, this is the second time I've tried to experience Anansi and unfortunately was disappointed. Love the ambiance and the decor, it's a super pretty space however the service is always a bit flat and the drinks are expensive and not good at all. I got a blueberry lemon drop and it tasted like blueberry sugar water, there was not real lemon or tartness to it. We also had a friend get Remy Martin and they gave him a double shot for $60 (that's insane). I really wish the drinks and service was better because it really is super pretty.

This place is a whole vibe! From the ambiance to music! Its so cute!! The drinks are good! I has a mocktail which was delicious!! My friend has a alcoholic drink it was pretty good. Customer service is excellent! I highly recommend. No food here but if your wanting to meet some here for drinks, lite snacks and chitchat its perfect!

Stopped here on a Thursday night. We went late for cocktails and weren't disappointed. They are known for martinis. Both our drinks were stiff. And very well balances. The vibe is speakeasy with tall ceilings. Dark decor and the music is fantastic for conversation. Not sure if weekends are more raucous but I'll stop by spoon to check it out again.

Beautiful intimate lounge with a what I can describe as an enchantingly sexy ambiance. The decor is intentional story telling. The drinks are well crafted. There is a full bar but the crafted drinks are flavorful and well made. Clean and artsy all the way through to the bathroom. The staff was quick & friendly. The curated mix of music is something that any ear would appreciate. Recommend for 2-4 people to sit, drink & talk

I liked the vibe and the music here but the drinks were just ok for the price. I might come back but I'd order just a regular drink on a big rock instead of a cocktail.

Ambiance is cool. This has to be my third time here my bf likes it. However we both agree the drinks are not great and the bartenders always seems inexperienced, if I'm paying those prices I want an experience bartender. We also like that it's never crazy pack and easy to find a seat however that also probably why it's never busy they drinks aren't great. Seems black owned and I want to support but I want to spend my money on things worth it and unfortunately this place is not.

Came here for a girls' night and it was so much fun! The music is lo-fi R&B, and it plays popular songs but in a vibey mix. It's super dim and sexy lighting, and the drinks are strong! Parking is free in the apartment parking surface and garage lot, which was a little confusing at first. Also--bar snacks are about all they serve food-wise, so I wouldn't come hungry! Service is really good too, and the venue felt very clean and curated. Definitely coming back!

Great drinks and atmosphere. Cosmo was nice, light, and refreshing. My husbands house tequila and spite were perfect to split and have a conversation without loud music interrupting. Will recommend :)

The decor is absolutely beautiful! Opulent and cozy. It is a very small space and great for dates, not so much large groups. The drinks were good, especially during happy hour 6-8pm M-F where drinks are $9. The staff is very nice, however there is only one woman doing EVERYTHING, which doesn't accommodate quick/efficient service. I do recommend.

This lounge is the perfect spot for a great drink and chill but sexy vibe. It's great for a date spot or a girls night out. You will need to eat first though because they do not offer food. The staff are so friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful space that is perfect for a solo date, proper date or friends night. I came with my sister on a Tuesday night and we got a couple of cocktails to hang (price around $13-16, and they add 20% gratuity). The parking was right outside (spot is located on the bottom level of the apartments). The music was a great volume so you don't have to yell. It's very intimate with vintage couches and beautiful decor. I will definitely be back.

This place is legit. Tucked up under a rental building Anansi is a gem of a cocktail bar/lounge. Found this place on Yelp and in spite of the low review count decided to give this place a try. Parking - easy and plenty around the building Ambience - Chic vibe, red lights, velvet couches, good music Drinks - QR code menu with a select cocktail list. I tried the old fashioned, sidecar, and asked the bartender to make me a Kentucky Made. Drinks were delicious and the bartender was able to make me a drink off the list - which was Food - don't expect much. Truffle popcorn (yum), honey mustard pretzels and olives - that's it. I'd stick with the popcorn. It's a cocktail lounge not a restaurant. Service - 5 stars. Bartender was attentive and the staff was polite. Seating - bar chairs, velvet sofas and chairs. The place is not very big inside but they have seating outside. However, the vibe is all inside. Price - Moderate. Drinks are worth the $ Will I return - Hell Yes!

Great drinks. Ridiculous you can't take pictures. Do they want to make money or not. 2 drinks for $45. Security is annoying once inside. Too many rules for enjoyment

It's a walk up window spot with the menu and a bell, when you're ready to order, ring the bell. The service is friendly and succinct. Non invasive and just helpful without asking when needed. The seating area is a mix between covered and uncovered, with a small speaker playing contemporary tunes at a respectable level. There are string lights above, and I can only imagine how beautiful this all looks at night. I'd read a LOT about their fish sandwich. That it is a good size helping. That it has a great light fresh vinegar sauce with thinly sliced carrots and other crunchy veg. The fish tasted fresh fried. And I have to say, this is the Best fish sandwich I have ever tasted. I only am upset I hadn't come much sooner. I will have to return, probably on a monthly basis for that fish sandwich. There are enough pictures out there of the sandwich. But I also had the Thai basil lemonade and it was a nice pairing. Not a waste of time, effort or dough. Just go.

We bring friends here, and one friend in particular is so obsessed that he was dreaming of their food when he was on a film shoot out of state, and could not wait to get back. You order at the window, and can take it away or eat outside. The place feels like a party when the weather is good. I don't think it is possible to order badly: the owners keep the menu tight, and everything is SO FRESH. When they run out, that's it. (The curried carrot soup will go fast, I've found.) My husband usually gets the vietnamese fried fish sandwich which is delectable with lots of flavor and texture. We rarely eat meat, but I have made an exception to try the Moroccan lamb burger which was worth it. I usually spring for the upgrade to get crispy smashed potatoes instead of chips. And it's worth noting that the drinks are also well above average: I've enjoyed the indulgence of a Bravassi hard Italian soda with my meal on a lazy afternoon, after shopping at the Second Life thrift store. Their drinks are very good, and they serve them up straightaway to savor while you wait for your order to come up. I have not yet ordered a salad but they have an array of excellent / choices, and I know they will not disappoint. I also want to note that although there is not waiter service (which makes it an ideal spot to meet friends) the staff is friendly, and well above average. It's such a great vibe, and a real bonus of living in the area. They also serve breakfast, and I feel confident in their level of quality in recommending them as a stop for anyone.

It was perfection. i decided to try Enso because it's closer and wanted to compare especially with the stellar reviews. I ordered the Tonkotsu (of course), 3 different skewers, baos and a curry entre. The baos had incredible flavor but the texture of the pork was a little tough and chewy. All the skewers were just okay and small for the price. The garnish under the skewers was really good and flavorful. Now, on to my main thing.... The Tonkotsu. My whole purpose for coming here. Disgusting!!! The broth tasted like dirty sink water with no salt or flavor!! The pork was flavorless and not tender. The fixings were all blah. Such a shame because it was visually pretty. I was so disappointed. The waiter asked me how was it. I told her it was very lackluster. She didn't try to do anything to satisfy the customer. I kept it cute and didn't make a fuss because I knew Id never return. All the food looked better than it tasted besides the curry rice bowl which was good. If you want authentic, bold Japanese ramen and dishes (40% cheaper too) , take the trip to Okiboru. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 because it was very clean with a nice bathroom. The food is easily 2 starts. (Lunch Menu. Not dinner).

The wings were much better though, they were served extra wet and they were juicy and crispy. As mentioned the layout and decor were impressive. The indoor space was cozy with booth and table seating, and a bar at the rear of the restaurant. Did I mention we had our share of margaritas? We visited Voss Lounge on Wednesday, April 1, excited for happy hour after seeing their Instagram flyer advertising $5 drinks, small apps, and hookah. Well...that's not exactly what we got. Once we arrived, we were told those $5 specials were actually for Tuesdays--not Wednesdays--and that detail was not clear on Instagram. I was told it was listed on their website, but let's be real...this is 2026--people are checking IG and TikTok, not websites. If you're promoting on social media, it needs to be accurate. We got there around 4:15 PM (happy hour starts at 4), and the place was empty--music wasn't even on yet. My party of four was seated right away, and we ordered drinks, food, and hookah. The lounge itself was beautiful--decked out in red and black with a really nice vibe. I had lemon drops and wings--both were actually really good. No complaints on the food or drink at all. But just know, the wings were not $5 since that special didn't apply that day. Now...the hookah experience? A complete mess. The hookah wasn't $5 either--it was $25 if I recall correctly. The hookah attendant recommended a flavor that was honestly not good at all. When we told her we didn't like it and asked to switch flavors (which we were willing to pay for), she tried to make us purchase a refill instead of simply fixing the issue. We asked to speak to a manager. She went to the back and spoke with someone who I later found out was the owner--but he never came out to address us. That alone didn't sit right with me. Instead, she came back, grabbed the hookah, and walked off. No explanation, no replacement--nothing. It felt like, "We won't charge you, but you're also not getting another one." That whole situation completely turned us off. Now I will give credit where it's due--our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, attentive, and she did her best to take care of us. But overall, between the misleading Instagram promotion, the poor hookah experience, and the lack of management presence...this just wasn't it for me. Giving Voss 2/5 for good food, a beautiful space, and a great waitress Everything else? Needs work. Unfortunately, I won't be back!

We were greeted right away by our wonderful server (forgot her name though) and she asked if it was our first time there and if we were celebrating something. We answered yes to both and they actually brought us complimentary champagne, a sparkling non-alcoholic cider for me because I ordered a zero proof drink. Kimball House is known for their amazing bar program, so my husband ordered a Kimball House served with a side of olives and lemon twist on ice, like what?! I ordered a ginger & honey lime fizz to enjoy. For starters, we also enjoyed Hawaiian rolls, green salad and some oysters for my husband. The rolls and salad came out super fast, but there was quite a wait for our drinks and oysters that I didn't think they were going to come out. The rolls are a must-get here - they're huge and the strawberry preserve it was served with was delicious! The salad was actually split in half, which was a super nice touch and was plenty of serving between two people. We loved the dressing - it was nice and fresh. For our entree, I ordered a trout and my husband ordered the duck breast. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw my plate because I was thinking it would be a plate full of grits, but what was served was the perfect amount because it was quite heavy. The trout by itself was too salty for my taste, but was best eaten with a bite of collards and grits. My husband enjoyed his meal, but wished the duck was cooked a bit more. For dessert, we both enjoyed a Paris Brest. Our server actually put it in twice so we each got one when she meant to only punch in one, but she ended up taking one off from our bill. I was quite shocked that our whole dinner was only around $190, not including tip, which I thought was quite reasonable. We definitely recommend this place for date night or simply for delicious food.
