My friend and I are doing a self-directed tour of East Atlanta area breweries and brew-pubs and other beer-selling spots. The Lost Druid was a fabulous spot on a warm Spring day with a bunch of people outside and a short queue of people inside, lined up to purchase beer. Inside is a comfortable and nicely decorated space, perfect for drinking and enjoying an afternoon with friends. Low tops and hightops tables. Do not miss the very clever light shades that are shaped like hops! I had a pint of their Höffern Orb which was fabulous. Definitely a "community" feel here. Parking is a challenge on a big drinking day but there is free street parking if you can find a spot that doesn't block a hydrant or driveway. I've been wanting to check out The Lost Druid for a while - I have a "family of a friend" connection, but I've also read a number of positive reviews. I finally got the chance when I was traveling through ATL for work at a time they were open. The surrounding area is pretty neat, with an arts/hippie/bohemian vibe. So of course it needs a good brewery. Plenty of outdoor seating, dog and family friendly from what I saw. The food menu was extensive, for a brewery. I tried the pretzels and the harvest moon flatbread (with added sausage, at the recommendation of my bartender, Miss Rachel) The pretzels were great, but the flatbread was amazing. Not a typical recipe, but it really works with the honey, brussels, and squash. If the food was good, the beer is outstanding. I tried a couple of IPAs and stouts, and all of them were amazing. The high gravity "dessert" stouts were quite sweet in flavor, and would be a great base for a beer float. There was a wide range of beer styles, and many cocktails options as well. All in all, I'm glad I stopped at The Lost Druid, and I can see why it's a top rated brewery in the area. Great staff, food, beer, and venue. I only wish it were closer so I could be a regular! Last note: THEY HAVE A CHANGING TABLE IN THE MEN'S RESTROOM! What a lovely spot! This small brewery has a good kitchen serving burgers, pizza, and other pub food. Plus a great range of beers. I happened to visit one evening when the pizza oven was offline and the classic burger I ordered instead was fantastic. Flavorful, juicy, just the right amount of toppings and a sturdy bun. I loved the beer too! Indoor and outdoor seating. Parking on site but street parking is also free. The staff were friendly and attentive. The playlist was good background music. $-$$ During my brewery walk on Saturday, we visited The Lost Druid. This brewery has a large indoor area, where they had live music and ample seating. The outdoor seating area is quite large and very spacious. The staff behind the bar were very friendly, courteous, and we enjoyed chatting with them while we ordered our beer and our food. I enjoyed the Bjorn Again ale and the Margherita Flatbread. Both were absolutely delicious! I would definitely visit this establishment again as a live music was very nice (easy to sing along with), a very large indoor/outdoor area to sit, the food and the beer were delicious, and it was so easy to just relax. The Lost Druid is your typical brewery. The space is industrial and the parking is tight. The inside of The Lost Druid utilizes garage doors to create a very nice indoor/outdoor feel. The outside seating sits on the edge of The Lost Druid parking lot which is not untypical of a brewery. The outdoor seating is plenty. The beer menu at the Lost Druid is complete. The Lost Druid features just about everything from lagers to juicy IPAs. The Lost Druid also has a full bar menu made with house distilled spirits. The food menu has a variety of typical bar options-a pretzel;flatbread pizza;wings and their famous Druid Burger. The Druid Burger separates itself from a typical burger because it is constructed with brisket and is topped with smoked bacon ends and homemade pimento cheese. The burger is held together by challah. Although the burger sounds overwhelming; it was the perfect size and kept my stomach open for more beer. The Lost Druid also has three salad options which I also appreciate. The Lost Druid is a fun time. However, I got a feeling that its owners do not think very highly of their customer base. The back page of the menu features a note turned manifesto decrying the behavior of obnoxious children. The note begins cordially enough: the owner explains that children are allowed so long as they are well behaved. The note does not stop at diplomacy-rather the note's author seems to use their diplomacy as self congratulatory license to really lay into bad parents/obnoxious children. The note takes up an additional two or so paragraphs to explain the countless ways children can/have been annoying. I could feel the author's anger leaping from the menu. Likewise, the owners have placed signs inside the parking lot which explain that street parking is free but reminds drivers to be respectful of other non specific traffic conditions (I was planning on driving safely). The menu manifesto (and parking lot signs) upset me because the owners are explaining the obvious. The Lost Druid chose to make unofficial rules official. A rule sign (or note) inside a brewery does not exactly project the laid back feel I'm looking for when I go to a brewery or a bar. No one wants to be around obnoxious children. I do not have children but owning a restaurant lends itself to occasionally obnoxious customers-both children and adults. Obnoxious children are annoying. Menu manifestos are vibe killers. read more

I came here for the first time for their Wednesday night trivia and had a great time! There was ample street parking around the brewery, while the parking lot was quite full. There's also a very nice outdoor patio area, and due to how nice the weather was the doors were open for the main seating area. The cocktail I ordered was great, $12. The pretzels were also great! I've been part of a trivia team that meets here every Wednesday night. I've been part of the team for well over a year. In all that time, I've never had a negative experience at The. Lost Druid. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is always very good (and the menu changes often so you never get tired of it). The mixed cocktails are incentive and fun, and their beers are outstanding. I'm a sour drinker and they always have at least one available... though typically two or three selections. A friend recommended The Lost Druid a while ago, and told me that it is a woman-owned brewery and distillery, which is so cool. We decided to check it out with some friends on Sunday, and we had a great time. It's a nice, new feeling space. The inside opens up to the outside seating area through open garage doors. They have a lot of seating in both spaces. They have a large menu of craft beers, seltzers, and cocktails. The rum breeze was delicious! As were the pretzels with beer cheese. The staff were friendly and helpful, as it was our first time visiting. Dogs are only allowed outside, but they do have a poop bag station, which I appreciate! Our first visit to the Lost Druid and we loved it. This brewery sits in Atlantas East End - Avondale Estates, right next to a Marta transit rail, which goes by it every so often. This did not deter from the ambiance. Parking lot was full but we managed to find some down the street. The out door area had bench seating with sun umbrellas, but there was seating indoors which was well ventilated as well as seating in a clear plastic cordoned off area in case of rain sort of like a sun room. We found a bench table to sit at. Not only did we have stunning weather but the beer was quite extraordinary. They also have a full kitchen serving some unique foodie items from which we chose: the black and blue chicken salad (excellent); the Lamb Koftir sliders (excellent little lamb burgers); the White Bull sandwich (fantastic); and the granny apple oatmeal crisp with vanilla Ice-creme (also excellent). For drinks: there was a good selection of porters, IPAs, hard sellers, and you could serve yourself water. I fell in love with the Garden of Evil IPA which had a unique subtle apricot flavor. Now that was special. It's too bad they didn't sell any cans to go. I also tried the Circle of Moon but was less impressed. You might be pondering what's up with the name Lost Druid? You can really get lost reading about the philosophy of Druidism or Druidry, but perhaps it ties in nicely with what the owners intended here: "Druidry, sometimes termed Druidism, is a modern spiritual or religious movement that generally promotes harmony, connection, and reverence for the natural world." The practice of Druidism can take various forms but I did not get a chance to inquire. Perhaps the owners will enlighten us. This was a very meh experience from the moment we walked in the doors. We went to the bar and my husband asked if we could sit outside. The waitress must have misunderstood what he said and said very rudely that she'd get to it when she got to it. Confused, I said no I think you misunderstood him, he's asking if we can grab a table outside. She realized what she said and was like, sure, but you still need to order her at the bar and that they don't bring out the drinks. She was clearly having a bad day. We ordered our drinks and closed out our tab. Sat at an outside table. The outside area was pretty big and spread out. That inside had patrons listening to this weird pirate performing on stage. What I rly liked was how it wasn't crowded and overwhelming service: order drinks and food at the bar. They have self serve water available. They give you a table number for your food Drinks/food: pretty good selection of food that includes appetizers and entrees from pizzas to burgers. The beer selection rotates and tbh they were solid. They had a wild child drink that looks pretty fruity but was 10%. Beware, but it's so good and interesting - pastrami sandwich: giving this a 5/5. Was actually surprised by how good this was. Lots of meat, the bread was nicely toasted and dare I say had garlic on it? It was very good - white bull burger: 3/5 just an average burger. The Basics: The Lost Druid is a brewery/ eatery located in Avondale Estates near Decatur. The Lost Druid has a large variety of beers that they brew and they also serve food from their kitchen. There is both indoor seating and also outdoor seating with large patio tables. Things I liked: The food and beer here was great! I ordered a sour beer called Blue Citron and I also had a hard seltzer (they have a few flavors of hard seltzer and they are great). Both drinks were delicious and they have a huge variety of beers and hard seltzers so there is certainly something for everyone. The food was also great and not something to miss. I had the soft pretzels and the Apple, Cranberry, Walnut salad and it was all delicious. You can tell they put a great deal of care into the food and drinks here. The service was wonderful as well. Things I didn't like: Nothing! Visit The Lost Druid! Overall, this is a hidden gem. The Lost Druid opened early 2020, I believe, so it feels really good to support this business. It was not very crowded when we went on a weekend afternoon, so it was nice to be able to easily find a table and not have to worry about crowds. I can't say enough about this place. It's a hidden gem or at least it was to me. The service was incredible especially being it was busy and there was only two ladies working the bar and servicing the tables. The pineapple pear and ginger sour also hit the spot! Now let's talk food . My wife and I split the beer chicken tacos which not only had a amazing crema on them made from cotija and beer cheese but were served flat on a corn tortilla for an elevated presentation. We also started the meal with the BAH-BAH Peppadews. A peppadew pepper stuffed with honey goat cheese (hence the bah-bah) and served with a sorghum siracha dip. This gem can be found in Avondale tucked away on a quiet street. Before you think, another brewery in Avondale think again. Walking in your surprised with a very modern, beautiful room. Seating upstairs and down near the bar. They do have an extensive beer list. As I was unfamiliar with all of them I opted for a flight. I had Blossom lay upon the thorn, of Myth and legend, natural remedy and eternal light. All were unique and paired well with their food. My husband and I began with the steak tostada for 13.00. This was amazing and worth a trip back alone. You in get 2-3 of everything in their tapas style menu. Perfect for a brewery. Next we had a cheesesteak- we did split this at 13.00. Great steak again, no cheap cuts here topped with melted REAL cheese (no canned crap!) and jalapeños on toasty bread. Then the Blue Pear salad- this was something I didn't want to share but it was fate night. Great flavors with a homemade vinaigrette. Finally, we splurged and split a chicken sandwich. It was deep fried and whIle good didn't really compare to the other food choices. On a final note, I learned I like darker beer. Who would have thought get. Great place to meet friends. The outdoor picnic tables are welcoming. For the ladies they have heaters so still grate to hang out in the fall. They have some good shareable so your broke friends can share your food. The parking is free but the area has a lot to offer so you may have to walk a block but it's we'll worth it. This is a regular meeting place for my wife and her girlfriend. It's pet friendly so bring your dog they will enjoy it. They updated the patio and improved the ambiance. I ordered the Spellbinder which is a sour with pear, pineapple, and ginger. A great option for those who don't like a strong hoppy taste. There is also a cocktail menu available in case beer isn't your thing. According to my friend who is a local, the cocktail menu is fairly new since it didn't exist the last time she visited. They have this amazing ipa. It is a small batch and it's name is something like garden of evil. It has a subtle apricot taste and it is quite possible my new favorite beer! You can find this place one one of those backstreets that parallels East College - the building is a two story warehouse with parking to the street. On this preview night two beers were offered, The Golden Orb NEIPA and The Crossroads Lager, also four menu items: Croque Monsieur pan-fried brioche with ham; Tavern Pretzels; Beer Brat Hoagie and a Shrimp Po' Boy. The one page single spaced diatribe against the presence of children attached to the menu was a rather off-putting first introduction, and we weren't even there with our kids. So many rules posted and stated. Don't even order a gin and tonic, they "only make what's on the cocktail menu". My Manhattan was bland.
