I have been to scores of breweries all over the country, and while not all were fantastic, this was the only one I've ever been to where the beer was not at least pretty good. It was not only not good, it was bad. All four beers we tried tasted flat, with no real flavor. It was weird. They tasted like gluten free beers, but they weren't! (Traversus, Oeps Dubbel, Thai Chili Lime) We were there on a Saturday night and the place was dead. There only appeared to be one person working, and I can see why. read more

Love this brewery! They have a great selection of beers as well as some wines/seltzers and even non alcoholic options. They typically have a food pop up at this location which is nice. Im not a beer girlie I came for the puzzle competition. But i did try the slushie they have after the bartender offered a sample when i told her i never drank beer. It was actually tasty. Stopped in to this super cute brewery on a roadtrip! We saw the Thai Chili beer and had to come in. The staff including the manager made us feel so welcome, Great service! The Thai Chili beer did not disappoint, crisp refreshing with a nice glow. Solid brewery in Atlanta that you'll want to put on your list! We arrived right after they opened so it wasn't super busy. They specialize in German style beer and the bartender was helpful with picking out several beers for us to try. They had plenty of seating with outside areas, a lounge/game area, bar seating, and a whole back room with ping pong and tvs with a second smaller tap area. The beer itself was excellent and they had a good variety. Definitely recommend if you have a knack for German style beer. They didn't have in-house food, but there was a pop up there so you can snack while you booze! Overall great beer and atmosphere, we will definitely be coming back. read more

Dogs were allowed inside and besides my dog there were plenty of other dogs there. They had dog water bowls. Everyone liked their beers. You can find Round Trip Brewing at 1279, Seaboard Industrial Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 in Upper Westside (also sometimes called West Midtown) within the expansive commercial and industrial areas along Collier Rd. They have an unusual amount of available parking for this area out front with available street parking when needed. Round Trip Brewing joins and ever expanding list of nearby breweries including the fairly new Bold Monk and Fire Maker Breweries, and old staples like Scofflaw, Second Self, Steady Hand, Monday Night and Atlanta Brewing (and Urban Tree Cidery if that's more your thing). The area has become quite a good brewery-hopping destination for those wanting to explore the Atlanta Beer Scene. I was able to attend the first night of Round Trip's soft opening. The building as noted sits behind a huge parking lot (compared to nearby brewery standards) and features a large room, segmented into a taproom in front of the door where you place your orders (with a reach in cooler for packaged beer), a lounge area to the left with available souvenirs for purchase, a huge set of very clean bathrooms, a fairly large event space in the back, and a 15 barrel brewhouse segmented into a separate space to the right. Bright tanks can be viewed through a glass partition - take a tour if they're available as this is a state-of-the-art fully automated facility and worth viewing. There's space for a canning line on the second floor with pipes and pumps for delivering finished beer directly from the tanks beneath. In a Q&A with the CEO/brewer Craig Mycoskie, he indicated that he'd come from larger production facilities in the Denver and Austin regions and wanted to do something using a scaled down version of the automated systems encountered there, so had Round Trip's brewhouse designed from those experiences. His focus will be on German craft beer traditions with a few variations thrown in as he learns the local Atlanta market. For beer nerds, he and his teams previously won two gold, a silver and a bronze at GABF. Before and after the tour I enjoyed a mug of a Dunkel Platz which was perfect for this style and ready for Oktoberfest. I also tried the Vicarious American IPA and the Smokin' Translator, one of the best Doppelbocks I've ever had. (As an aside, whoever did the interior design did a fantastic job of combining modern touches, balanced to the industrial interior mixed with live plants and interesting lighting.) The PPE-wearing staff was very courteous and service very good. Plenty of sanitizer available and the space large and open enough that it was easy to maintain social distancing. I wish this new brewery great success and look forward to another and frequent visits. read more

My neighbor found this place and suggested that it was worth a visit. We came by late Sunday afternoon to a large free parking lot and lots of outdoor and indoor space. They parking lot is welcoming with a cool mural. They also have rotating food trucks here. Unfortunately they were out of a few beers when we visited and they told us that they would have it back on tap in a few weeks. The bartender was friendly and had good suggestions. I tried the IPA Isar Haze and the hubs got the smokin' translator and the Pilsner. The Isar Haze is an easy, not too hoppy IPA and I enjoyed it during this warm spring day. The smokin' translator is a darker beer with smoky flavor and the Pilsner is nice also. Our neighbors brought the pups and we ordered some food. Definitely a wonderful time with lots of pinup tables outside for social distancing. I can't wait to come back to try their other beers! read more

Yes! We are so happy to have another brewery on our list of great places to hang out on a sunny afternoon. There is a great outdoor space at Round Trip, and they have a couple bar games like cornhole and the giant beer pong in buckets with volleyballs. It has a handful of picnic tables outside the brewery, and some are in the shade on a hot day. You can definitely bring your dog - ours loved it here! The beer is mostly German-style, and there are plenty of light options for folks like me who just want something that's not overpowering when it gets hot outside. There is also one hard seltzer that we didn't try, but it's good to know for our gluten-free friends. The staff was SO friendly and kind and they're happy to let you try before you buy so you make sure you're making the best choice. I'm looking forward to returning with more friends to try more things. Bonus: you're not far from Das BBQ, so that was our next stop. Beer and BBQ, how could you even go wrong? read more

For my birthday I wanted to meet up with a few friends at a brewery. I found Round Trip Brewery through my search and it's in great location west side area. It is tucked in, behind and close by Johnnys New York Style Pizza. Plenty of parking and great outdoor. There's a playground for kids. Once inside lots of family style seating and nooks for board games or to watch sports. It's quaint and clean and rustic. Loved it. Customer services was on point and super hospitable which I believe many establishments have lost, so I appreciated that. It was evident that this place was developed and built around family. Areas of families to play board games, outdoor seating with playground. And family style seating (picnic tables). The beer menu had variety with IPA, pilsner, lager, etc. and not just focused on IPAs which again as a non-IPA drinker, I love. For my birthday, the first beer was on them. I tried their Pilsner and lager. I loved both. Tasty, light and crisp. Perfect combination. Everyone enjoyed their time at Round Trip. It was fun, spacious, clean and super welcoming. There's a pretty good playground outside for kids and a good selection of board games. Usually there's a food-truck-like option that's greasy but good. They take pride in their beer selection and are happy to explain them to you (without being pretentious). The beers are good, which is a huge shame because our experience was marred by the sheer volume of unchaperoned children playing tag in the bathroom, running around our table, and destroying all of the games inside by throwing cards and pieces everywhere. Like we understand kids but it never ceases to amaze how some parents just completely abandon ship when out in public. I get the playground is supposed to make this more kid friendly but this isn't Sky Zone. This is a brewery. So yeah take that for what it is. The beers are good but gird your loins for this just to be a giant playground. read more

The beer is fresh, delicious and would go down as well in Munich as it does here. Parking and space are ample. Food from various vendors works well and is tasty.
