I finally got the chance to visit the new Arches Brewing at Atlanta Utility Works. While the new…read morespace is more stylish and modern, I liked the old space a lot better. The old space had a lot more character...and more beer. The beer selection is now very limited compared to what it used to be. They say they partnered with Cultured South to sell both beer and kombucha, but it feels more like Cultured South bought Arches and just has a limited selection of the original Arches beer just so they can still legitimately use the name and draw people to the space. I'm not a kombucha drinker, so the new Arches doesn't really hit the mark for me.

North 2 South Cider has universal appeal with highly refined flavor for a discriminating palate. The hibiscus flavor goes down so easily you feel like you are in hawaii listening to the crashing of the waves. The mint is refreshing. The "Slice" (watermelon basil) reminds Carol of evenings with her family at home in the south. My cockatoo Clara loves it! Everyone else at the release party loved it as well. Be careful, it goes down so pleasantly you may not realized how many you've had. How can I invest? North 2 South Cider is bound for greatness.

We ordered from the limited menu due to just opening. As we sat, waiting for our dinner, the restaurant's temperature felt like it was 50°! They called our number for our dinner. We sat and started eating. We heard many customers telling the folks of the restaurant that the food was delicious. My wife and I agreed that the food tasted good. But the meats were room temperature. The sides equal to a 1/4 cup. Our belief was the meat was served cold and my wife likes a good portion of BBQ Sauce on her pulled pork. Asking for more BBQ sauce, I was handed a small container of BBQ sauce. I would suggest a bottle on the tables of their signature BBQ Sauce. As our legs were getting cold, we left.
