Very average place. The service was rather attentive in placing the order, but the speed to receive the items was very slow. Atmosphere: it's nice. The couches are comfortable, and the lighting is appropriate. Music is soft and not too distracting. Good job here Service: I placed my order in 2 chunks. The first was lamb sliders then was the Brussels sprouts + soup. What surprised me was the items did not come out as prepared. Instead, they all came out at once. Thus, the lamb sliders were a bit cold. Everything else was lukewarm -- could've been hotter. Lamb sliders themselves - very average. Nothing too special in terms of flavor Soup - again average. But definitely fits the description Sprouts - pretty good actually. Crispy yet moist. I would get these again

Roasted brussel sprouts were off menu due to vegetarian request. Sugary glaze added to roasted flavor.

Relaxed environment situated in the lower level of the Ritz Carlton downtown. Lighted menu was interesting, though not necessary since lighting wasn't extremely low. Drink selections were plentiful, but food offerings were limited especially if vegetarian. I opted for oysters with mignion sauce and horseradish I requested on the side. Did not remember to ask for them lightly steamed, so ate them raw. They were very delicious! My vegetarian friend created a veggie plate with sauteed spinach and roasted brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts, which I sampled, had a sugary glaze that was subtle but provided a delightful flavor that words cannot describe! Ambiance was great with guitar serenade by Jean Pierre. His music was the perfect addition to food and great conversation. He definitely added to the 4 star rating. Our server was very new and not clear on several questions posed. Prices a bit steep too - $3 per oyster and mixed drinks $15 & up. My Southern Skies Julep was a tasty Makers Mark concoction with fresh berries and plum bitters, but did not equate to cost. Overall nice venue and would return for business or to see another performance. Lumen is a nice addition to the Ritz.

Really low key bar/lounge inside the Ritz. We ended up grabbing a drink here while waiting for dinner reservations at a restaurant across the hall. The server came over immediately after we sat down and brought complimentary snacks and water. The mixed drinks are around $10-12 but totally worth it because they deliver a punch. Live music played at a mellow level to allow for comfortable conversation. Another spot for them grown folks!

Go for a smoky cocktail at the Ritz Atlanta.

A pleasant, professional and relaxing spot in downtown Atlanta to enjoy a drink. With some decent cocktails to choose from you won't go wrong stopping in here pre or post dinner whether you are a guest of the Ritz or not.

This is a classy and sophisticated venue to enjoy tapas and craftsman bar drinks. Try the lumen punch made by Teddy. He's the best bartender, serving up drinks with a smile. They also offer live music and happy hour nightly.

This is a very attractive lounge with both bar seating and then individual chair groupings across the front of the lobby. It's quite stylish and the service has that Ritz polish. The music is also unobtrusive enough for conversation. I found it to be relaxing and comfortable, just as a hotel lounge should be. The list of specialty cocktails is kind of sparse, so I'd like to see a more robust mixology program. The food menu has enough variety to take care of any appetite, though. A good choice for a respite whether you're staying at the hotel or not.

Enjoyed visiting Lumen on our luxurious 1-night getaway at the Ritz-Carlton. As classy hotel-and-bar-guests go, we are not. It wouldn't take much to please me here but I truly think this hotel and bar are amazing! Our service was very good. You sit down in the very dispersed lounge-like feel, but the staff notice you right away. I was brought complimentary champagne (via the front desk). The ambiance here is so awesome. Dimly lit purples, blues and blacks with funky light fixtures and...oh what the heck. Let me tell you about the FOOD. It's artistic and trendy. My husband ordered a burger and the garlic fries (both were very good!). I ordered 3 of the very unique sounding pumpkin-chicken-biscuit slider..things. Wow. The first one takes some getting used to: it's basically a very delicious chicken nugget on a good biscuit and they put pumpkin butter on it! There's also a sauce on top. It's very different but after the first one I fell in love. They are REALLY good. I recommend trying at least one (I ordered three but they're served a-la-carte). The fries were solidly good. Usually hotel restaurants are reserved for the convenience of the hotel guests, but this place is worth visiting even as a non-guest (as is Atlanta Grill's breakfast!)

We had a great dinner after the soccer game. I had the tuna and my husband had the burger and fries.

There probably isn't a bar in the city that offers as breathtaking of a view as does Moonlight. The panorama of all three of Atlanta's skyscraper centers is clearly visible, along with the historical architecture of Ponce City Market. The crowd is mix of tourists and locals in their 20s and 30s. The cocktails are solid. Food is decent, nothing to rave about, but again, hopefully nobody is here for the food. The lobster roll was very bread heavy and the useless dab of caviar was just a wasteful decoration. Yet, the atmosphere of the place, situated in the beautiful Forth hotel makes Moonlight an incredible spot for drinks.

Please do not expect a full dinner but there are great options to keep the night going. I was kinda sad that both myself and my friend were celebrating our birthday but because we were the same table, we could only get one glass of champagne. It does get crowded and I really suggest making a reservation. I made one and even still it took ages to get a table. A reservation doesn't promise a table right away but keeps you in an active queue. I can't wait to go back again.

They hold a jazz night every Tuesday with live music for a nice chill, yet fun, vibe. Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

The amount of prep, technique, and patience required for clarified cocktails definitely isn't lost on me, so I naturally gravitated toward those options. MidCity clearly puts serious effort into the details and the server was well-equipped to discuss and help guide me to the right decisions. I tried the Peanut+Butter, Mangorita, and Pear Matcha Fizz. The Mangorita was the standout for me. The rum brought a deep, complex backbone while the mango rounded everything out with just the right sweetness. Super balanced, layered, and honestly just delicious. The Peanut+Butter reminded me a bit of a Boulevardier variation, with the Cynar adding that earthy, slightly bitter edge that kept it from leaning too sweet. Really interesting drink with a lot going on. The Pear Matcha Fizz was refreshing and easy to drink -- definitely tasty -- but felt a little less complex and developed compared to the other two cocktails I had. Overall, very impressed. Creative menu, thoughtful execution, and a clear respect for craft cocktails. Already planning to go back tonight to work through more of the menu. This is a gem on the cocktail scene in Atlanta and deserves the glowing reviews that it has here on Yelp.
