First of all, let me start this review by saying that Taylor was one of the nicest and best servers we have EVER experienced anywhere and we have been to a ton of places. The atmosphere is sports pub to a T. Sports on the tv's, music playing, pool tables and drinks. The food was delicious. The cheese curds impressed all of us at the table. My wife ordered the chicken pot pie and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the fish and chips and really enjoyed it. The chips were above average and the fish was good but a touch salty. My daughter ordered the chicken avocado sandwich heavily modified and the kitchen got it wrong the first time but fixed it and we weren't upset by it at all. 2.5 star review. I've been to Gibney's Pub a few times for a work lunch, there's never a crowd. I like that even though it's in a giant food court, it feels like you're in a separate restaurant. It's down two flights of stairs. Hopefully you walk or take Marta because parking is impossible to find downtown. First visit I dined in with co-workers, the friendly server recommended the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which did not disappoint. Breaded and fried, it's served with buffalo hot sauce, lettuce, tomato and blue cheese crumbles, with a bag of chips. It was a nice size and pretty tasty! The $13 price point wasn't bad either. A creature of habit, I ordered the same meal to-go and alerted the manager of my onion allergy when I called it in. The food was ready fast but when I got back to my office, I was greeted with the pungent aroma of raw onions. I didn't want to spend my lunch hour making two trips to Gibneys and it was humid outside so my hair wasn't happy either. But the manager remade my meal (which was missing the side of buffalo sauce) and kindly offered to comp the next one. Unfortunately, the comped meal was the worst. I ordered the same sandwich but they forgot the blue cheese, which is the best part! Worse, the extremely thin chicken breast tasted inedible and chewy. The bland fries didn't help. The generous 3 stars is for 2 out of 4 decent sandwiches and the service. I won't return to Gibney's but if you go, I recommend dining in to make sure your order is right! read more

Visited Atlanta this last weekend. Found this place while walking around the Hub. I was happy to find a non fast food place. Wait staff was great, they were attentive during the lunch hour. Food was good. I wish the chimichurri was drizzled over my steak rolls more than dipping though. Frito pie was tasty! read more

Wow. The weirdest and worst interaction we have ever had with a waitress. It's self seating so we kick a table and very soon after our waitress comes over. We start with water while we look at their drink menu. A short wait later she comes back and we ask for a Cadillac margarita (we wanted to try one before ordering more). This is where it goes bad; she comes back saying they don't have "that" and we say "You don't have the ingredients?" To which she replies "No we don't have.....that. Only what's on the cocktail menu". We couldn't believe it as they have a full bar so my husband went to ask and sure enough they DO make Cadillacs. The bartender Ryan makes one quickly and sends it over. It was in a martini type class with no ice.....interesting take. He also sent over a shot on the house for the misunderstanding. We liked the Cadillac so we ask our waitress for two more and she literally asks us "Do you really need 2 more?". We had literally been there less than 45 minutes and were sober yet it was like she was trying to cut us off already. That was the last straw and we paid out our tab and left. We also ordered their wings Buffalo style with medium heat level and they were so so. The wings I guess are smoked or something because they were smoky and had a BBQ flavor despite having Buffalo sauce. I would not order these again. Ryan was really nice and tried to remedy the situation to get us to stay but with a waitress like that and the disappointing wings it just couldn't be salvaged. read more

This place has never disappointed when in Atlanta. This burger is outstanding!! The FF have even been improved. Service remains fast. The place plays great music and there are plenty of TVs. This is a MUST GO IN ATLANTA! Burger was so good, I didn't even add Heinz ketchup! read more

I went in during off hours (late afternoon), but it was fine. Service from the bartender was nice, I enjoyed my chicken pot pie (it wasn't, like AMAZING, but this is a pub), and overall it was a lovely stop on a rainy day. Some of these reviews are a bit bonkers--I'm sure that it gets busy during Cons and such, but I can't imagine them actively trying to steal credit cards. I'd stop in here again. read more

After a tour of the Atlanta Falcons stadium, I had food on my mind. Searching Yelp "Gibney's Pud" came strongly recommended. Across the street is paid parking, so you almost feel rushed. But I was hungry so I didn't mind. The big red door represents the inside of the restaurant. You sit where you want, so the only seats available were in the back. Our waitress, who almost ruined our visit came over. The entire time, she never brought over our drinks, came to the table, or got our orders right. I was so disappointed in her service. Lastly, she charged us more because she charged us another tables bill. However, the owner was incredible. A Staten Island native, who moved to Georgia to open this bar. He loves the Giants and was glad we traveled for the game. That was awesome. The bartender was incredible as well. She was friendly and spoke to us about football. They made the visit worth it. Also, the food was great. The wings were the best I've had in Atlanta. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The fries didn't even bend they were so crunchy. The meal was perfect. I wanted to get a nice beer at lunch and what beer place than Gibney's pub. A short walk from most hotels downtown on the first floor of the Peachtree center. It is a nice pub vibe and decorated with tons if signs and a nice bar to sit at. There is a newer golden tee golf here and billiards as well. Not busy during my visit. They had many types of beer on tap but I wanted a black and tan and it was very smooth. Really enjoyed it. I decided on a very un pub like BBQ sandwich. It was actually quite tasty and was a very good quality pulled pork and a not too sweet nor spicy BBQ sauce. The fries were excellent crisp and tasty as well. Tried to order the pizza and they said they couldn't do it. So i ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and it was inedibly dry. A group of 8 of us recently visited while in town for an NFL game. We were able to quickly find a table to fit all of us. We were quickly greeted by our server and were gotten drinks right away. Our party ordered everything from pizzas to sandwiches to fish. Everyone had great food. No complaints at all. Our food came out a little sporadically but because of this our server brought over shots for the table. We appreciated this! Absolutely horrible bartending service. Bartender has no desire to help anybody. You literally have to walk up and inconvenience him in between his talking to what appeared to be his friend. Bar was hopping with people unfortunately no one was able to drink.makes me question whether he even worked there or if he was just standing behind the bar. Order the truffle fries!! They were super tasty and a great snack to munch on while we stopped by Gibney's. They have a decent sized bar and there are tons of booths with personalized TV's. The entire pub is full of quotes and they have a decent selection of beer on tap. Eric was our bartender and he was great at giving us some new spots to try. Service was friendly and prompt. Nice atmosphere with a decent number of strategically placed TV's. Food was good. The Avocado Chicken Sandwich was yummy so we're the fish and Chips (though they could of been taken out of the fryer 1-2 minutes earlier if I'm being picky) A very tasty Ruben sandwich also. The wings were a bit dry and over cooked. The food in Atlanta, and this is no exception, is rather heavy on the salt but paired with a cold beer, it was a great experience all around. On our 2nd visit, the artichoke pizza was really really good. They forgot 2 beers on our bill and when we brought it up to the manager, he compt it without hesitation. There is no service, you must order at the register and pick it up yourself. Chicken pot pie was lacking any chicken. It was mixed frozen vegetables in a cream sauce served with a warm puff pastry (that part was good) that wasn't even cooked together and the pot pie was like warm at best. A great spot if you are staying down the street at the Marriot for a conference. Bartenders and servers were awesome during our dinner! I got the chicken pot pie which was amazing and plenty of flavor. Their pricing is very reasonable and there is plenty of room to have a big party. They also have pool tables and other games! I went to this pub during dragoncon, so I feel like it is not how they normally are, since con goers flood them. We did have to wait a long time to get service, not super long for a table. They were out of the beer I wanted, understandable again. The system for ordering online (they had QR codes at the tables) was down from the influx of people trying to use it. The Shepard's pie though was amazing. Seriously amazing. I was happy I went with that. My friends were also pleased with their food. I would go back in the future! read more

It took 4 hours to receive food and yet we were not met with a heavy discount. The food was alright. The wait was highly unsatisfactory.

Stopped in cause Google told me this was a kid friendly spot but IT IS NOT! It's a bar/pub just as name indicates. NO KIDS MENU so beware. Besides that the place was decent. Full bar. Juke box. Pool tables. Arcades. Good bar/pub food. I had C.A.B. Burger w/fries..added cheddar cheese. Son & nephew had chicken fingers and fries which was big enough to feed 2 but we didn't know so it was a bit of a waste. My SIL had hot lemon pepper wings. We all enjoyed our food and the service was good. I took off a star bc they don't serve sweet tea!!! I mean really?! This is GA, how u don't serve SWEET TEA?!
