It was my first time visiting the Red Phone Booth and my experience didn't disappoint. We sat at the bar and we had great service. I got the chicken Marsala and honestly one of the best ones I had! Found this little spot on yelp! Cute idea for a speakeasy! The phone booth/entrance part was not working so it took away from the speakeasy experience. The drinks were made really well and the inside has a nice lounge feel with couches and dark lighting! I love this place so much. On a recent business trip to Atlanta, I stayed in the Buckhead area and this gorgeous cigar bar was less than 300 feet from my hotel. I got the door code from my hotel and my first visit was on a quiet Sunday. The interior is beautiful, the humidor is well stocked, and the staff couldn't be more welcoming. Plus they have an excellent selection of fine spirits and take care in how they serve them. And I was able to order food prepared by the restaurant next door. On Monday and Tuesday evening after my all-day event, this place was a great place to catch up on work and then to reward myself with a cigar and drink. I've been to the location in the city and had yet to visit their Buckhead location until recently when they celebrated their 4 year anniversary. Super packed and lots of table seating which are primarily for the members. There's ample seating at the bar too but first come first served. This used to be a German restaurant so it may appear small at the front of the house but as you walk further to the back, it opens up. I have to say, it's a pretty spacious speakeasy. I didn't try the food however I did order a cocktail, the Flirtini which was made with pineapple and sparkling wine. The alcohol tasted more like vodka to me vs. sparkling wine. And they have an extensive cocktail menu too. Honestly, I didn't know what to order because everything sound so good. I was impressed. Most ppl order their smoked old fashioned which if I go again, I would like to try. Oh and most of the reviews said you won't smell like smoke. Y'all, it's a cigar bar. You will smell like smoke. Maybe not as heavy but you're still in an establishment where cigars are permitted and encouraged. I mean, they have an entire cigar shop inside. Super dope member only cigar lounge in Buckhead. Well laid out bar and cool bartenders. All the drinks and liquors you need with a decent size humidor inside. Affordable cigars and most of the labels and types you'd expect like padron, macanudo, rocky Patel, punch, Romeo and julieta. Backroom for private functions or another tv and bar, seats along the inside, front ones typically reserved for members. Manager is a great hospitable guy. Gentleman at the door said our server would be right with us. 30 minutes later she shows up and when I express frustration with the wait we got a 10-minute lecture about how I'm grumpy she doesn't take poor treatment from anybody and she knows taekwondo. Ordered two drinks and a house cigar. My drink came wrong and the cigar was really bad. The waitress later agreed that we really shouldn't have ordered the $19 house cigar they aren't very good. While I'm sitting there trying to relax a little I'm getting hustled by limo drivers who just won't go away until you take their card, even after I told them I have a car. At the end after we paid the waitress was offering us a free round of drinks ostensibly because of our wait, which we didn't want but then we agreed to accept a free cigar which she never brought. The novelty of a front door that looks like a phone booth doesn't compensate for the wait inside, improperly made drinks, combative servers, and getting hustled while you're in there. So the red phone move is always a good time, it usually doesn't miss! It's a somewhat exclusive type cigar bar. They're two locations in the city, but both of them you still need to find somebody who's a member to give you the phone number before you go. If you want to make reservations, you need to have a member make the reservation for you. I have some close friends who have no issue with this so it works in my favor. When you get in, just be aware that it's not going to be a basketball shorts and t-shirts kind of place. It's a little bit more fancy but not formal. They highly suggest that the gentleman wear blazers and jackets We may come in to the establishment. I think they actually may give you one if you don't have one if it's within their inventory. So you'll find a lot of people in suits or business casual wear when you come in. Women, women can get away with a lot of stuff so they don't really act too strict on women but it's not going to be leggings or anything similar to for a woman in the establishment as far as the dress code goes. Now when you get in it's giving you a prohibition old school type of feel. All the craftsmen at the bar really make a hell of a good drink. I usually stick with the old fashioned because that's what I do normally, if you read any of my reviews you know that. But everything that I've had there's been good. You see the bar they have tons of liquors to pick from and a lot of the fresh ingredients are right there to be seen so you know they're making the things fresh right in front of you. The humidor, they have a really nice size humidor that you have to be let in to be able to pick your cigars. They only let so many people at a time in, it's a space issue, but you can see from the outside glass that there's a ton of cigars to choose from so you can pick what you want before you actually get in. You can ring the cigars up inside, that's not an issue, but just be aware that member prices are lower than regular customer prices. So if you're a member you'll have a better discount when you buy a cigar. The ambiance is really chill it's not going to have a lot of routing music there. They want you to relax and drink and smoke and have a good time, not like a turned up hookah bar in midtown. They actually have a back room there that has his own separate bar that has some other different music there as well but that just proves that they have multiple places for you to sit and smoke. I went to a two hotels right next door and no one had the number, but I looked through my notes for the previous number I used and tried to use it. The phone in the phone booth is broken and it says to dial from your cell, which I did and there was no answer, simply a message with "send Ramon an email". I did that and got a bounce back. We got the code from our Concierge at the Thompson in Buckhead. Had so much fun in the phone booth, (G-rated, mind you) alone! Once the door opened, we were swept into the swanky environment and whisked away to one of their cozy sofas. The menu had a lot of affordable cigar and drink options. Though the waitress said it was around the mid $20's. With x3 cheeses, x3 proscuitto types, a jam, olives, pickles, walnuts, and other miniature things, it was pretty filling. Caprese di fior de latte: Plain and simple. There was a vinaigrette drizzle on top of x4 fresh mozzarella and tomato slices. There's not much to say since the ingredients are what you'd expect. Arancini: These came with x2 fried rosette balls. They were pretty large, but portion wise could be better if they hadn't stuffed it onto such a small dish. It is good if you're wondering whether to get it though. Tartufo e funghi pizza: This was quite the pizza. Though it was very simple, the mushrooms, cheese, and truffle oil were truly superb. The crust was chewy and thin and very delicious. A definite must try! I do believe that I read on here that the parking ticket may be validated? Long overdue in this review. My friend & I went here back on Oct 2023 and I like the speakeasy concept of the phone booth and entering in. The phone was not working, and there was a guy standing outside to help. We had to call through our cellphones, then they opened it on the other end. I'm writing this review in the hopes that a manager at RPB/Buckhead sees it. My comments have nothing to do with the service or ambiance of this establishment. It is always a great experience. HOWEVER, there is a scam going on with the parking situation for patrons of RPB that I think the club needs to address or at least publish some sort of communication. There are two parking options at this location. One is a covered deck that is super expensive to park in, and the other is an outdoor parking lot anchored by a Marshall's. I fully understand that outdoor lot requires folks to pay for parking using an app (can't recall the name of it). The first two hours are free, and I will admit I did not think I would stay at RPB for 2+ hours but on two recent visits I did indeed stay longer (30 minutes longer each visit). The app did not send me any sort of notification advising me to pay for additional parking and I did not give it a second thought. Until I received two notices in the mail from a company called Parking Revenue Recovery Services Inc. I was advised to pay $55 for my 30 additional minutes parking in this lot, which was followed up about two weeks later by a demand letter from a Collection Attorney based in Colorado! So, I had to grudgingly pay $110 to this scam company to avoid any further issues. So, to my friends at RPB. In the spirit of customer service, I think you should 1) provide some sort of discount for your patrons to park in the covered deck, 2) offer valet parking which I would gladly take advantage of! and 3) I would post a notice alerting your patrons of this scam taking place at the outdoor lot across from your location. Honestly, with this sort of hassle and expensive covered parking, I will have to think twice about visiting RPB and may have to enjoy a cigar and a beverage elsewhere! read more
