There was only half a sandwich and half a salad. When I went back and said I ordered a whole sandwich and a whole salad. She said I thought you wanted a Pick Two! WTH! Was excited to try this brunch spot while visiting Buckhead because the menu looked awesome. The food was excellent (except for one issue - will get to that in a moment). Unfortunately, the service was just awful! We usually sit at the bar because we find you get much better service there. The bar at Postino is beautiful, open to the outside, and has comfy barstools. This bar also has the most surly bartender we've ever met. She truly had the worst attitude and probably should explore a profession that doesn't involve interacting with the public. She complained to customers around us about her boss, her coworkers, the temperature of the restaurant (apparently her birth control makes her hot), and the classes she's taking in school. Our meals did not come out at the same time - probably because someone forgot to put my husband's panini in the press so it came out rather quickly. We could immediately tell that it was not cooked. Why no one in the kitchen or the bar could see the cold slice of cheese that clearly wasn't melted and the bread that was not toasted, who knows? He had to take his own meal back to the kitchen to get it heated up. He walked right by the manager, who said nothing, and didn't even inquire about the problem. Once both meals were finally served, the food was really delicious. Of course, no one asked if we enjoyed it or not. When the bill came, we only tipped 18%. We usually start at 30% and go up or down from there. What a shame that bad service impacted an otherwise great meal. read more

Postino has a nice vibe and an extensive menu of Italian/American food. I thought the food was all fine, and my group really enjoyed the Bruschetta/Bottle deal. My favorites were the mushroom bruschetta, the grilled cheese, and the pear/brie bruschetta. The service was not great for us. We weren't able to get a hold of a server for about 45 minutes, so we couldn't order our next bruschetta board. We weren't even tucked away in a corner, we were pretty out in the open... our server just never came back. Eventually, we were able to flag down someone, and then service got better. read more

Experience was a total 10 out of 10! The wine was really good and the waiter was incredibly attentive, constantly checking in on us and they even helped me charge my phone. The food was great, the ambience was amazing, and the candlelight makes it absolutely perfect for a great date night out. I also loved the super cute and aesthetic interior wall design with all the old VHS tapes and entertainment media it was easily one of my favorite things to look at and definitely my speed. My monthly but slowly becoming weekly go to spot! I love their happy hour prosecco which is now a rose. I go during the afternoons parking is easy and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors on their patio. The service is always amazing and a relaxing spot. I got to work or just to grab a glass of wine before running my next errand. Their Apple Brie bruschetta is 10/10 and forever one of my favorite bites. Also, their steak skewers are great! Casual, fun and great bites/drinks. This sums up my experiences at Postino Buckhead. While I've been to their other locations, this is the closest for me and I've been here several times. This place used to be a Blockbuster? and so they have a retro VHS tape wall. Kinda cool. I feel like all their locations have a theme wall of some sorts. The interior is cozy and lively. Most times I've been here the place has been bustling. Especially for Happy Hour ($6 glass of wine or pitcher of beer). They have a decently good wine selection and a full bar making this really attractive for Happy Hour - especially when paired with their boards. I honestly have tried all their boards and they are all great. Few mentionable call outs: Get the crispy cauliflower - it's crispy with capers and a red sauce that just goes so perfectly with the cauliflower. If you are vegan/vegetarian - this is the thing. Skewers - while seemingly basic, the flavors on the meat are spot on and the meat is juicy and tender. Smoked Salmon Pesto Board - love smoked salmon and this board hits the right spot for me Goat cheese and spicy pepper jam - another favorite. The sweet, mildly spicy and cheesy combo is so delicious I've done the chef's boards and those are a great put together combination so I wouldn't be shy to try those if you want something curated. The hot donut bits - I love sweet stuff and this is just the ideal amount of sweet without being too heavy. Airy donuts with a nice dipping sauce. Service has always been friendly and relaxed - not over the top, but attentive enough that we've never felt forgotten. Even though the place gets busy, our servers have always checked in at good intervals without being pushy. The atmosphere is another win. It has felt easygoing yet put-together; you could tell this place doesn't try too hard to impress, but everything feels thoughtful. Few complaints: It can get loud when busy so hearing others can be tough. Especially if you have a large group. While it's great for HH, it's not ideal for large groups (intending to socialize) unless you are on the patio. Sitting on a table and trying to socialize is just tough. The inside has dim lighting so at times I've found it tough to read the menu (hello old age) so be prepared to have your readers or your phone light. read more

I thought that I'd like this experience more given the reviews. The restaurant itself is very beautiful, and the designer did a great job with the interior. I was introduced to this place through a Yelp Experience, but wanted to leave a standard review.The experience itself was just okay, all things considered. The parking can be confusing! It is Buckhead, so I was low-key expecting the disaster. It was hard to know if we had to pay, if certain spots were reserved for certain businesses, etc. And you know they will gladly and generously tow everybody in Buckhead if they had the chance, so it was a little nerve-wracking. I believe the spots marked for the tuxedo business that's no longer in the plaza are for Postino's now. We were reassured that we'd be fine where we parked once we got into the restaurant. There was no host/ess when we walked in the door, so we kinda just awkwardly stood there for a few minutes. The bartender did shout a "Welcome In!" across the room. Thanks, girl! But it took a while for anyone to properly greet and seat us. I recall hearing some of the servers make comments about how there's no one at the front... seems like they know that there's an issue. The servers here are VERY dressed down and there is no formal uniform, so it's kind of hard to differentiate who's working and who's patronizing. The servers also float, which causes a bit of confusion and you're stuck answering the same question five different times. We ordered a bruschetta board and it had a really good flavor, but the presentation was not great. The artichoke spread was a little crusted over and tough, not warm. I was also hoping the bread would be warm at least, which I think would have enhanced the flavor. It was just okay. The wine and donuts were amazing though. They hit out of the park with those. The Mirabello was bubbly and airy, leaning more dry. The Satalite was peachy, lightly sweet with a nice dry punch. Lost Mountain was a deep, contemplative merlot-cabernet... complex in taste but easy to enjoy. Now back to the more sobering parts of the visit. The table was relatively clean, but they just wiped everything from the table into the booth seats... I couldn't address that issue initially because the server disappeared. I just opted for wiping it down myself. The menu is beautifully designed but it was stained and greasy... huge turn-off that makes the restaurant look cheap. Get rid of worn menus! And while floating servers sounds like a good idea, I think the lack of dedication to a specific table creates an awkward service experience from the customer's perspective. The women's bathroom was very smelly... Beautifully designed, but very dank. I'd probably come back here for their Happy Hour if I'm in the area. The wine they serve really is phenomenal and packs a tipsy punch... I did not get the headache typically associated with Happy Hour wines, which speaks to the quality. read more

So glad I was able to get the Yelp Experience at Postino. It was my first time here and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere from the music to the decor. There is free parking as it is located in a small plaza. I ordered the meatball and Cabernet Sauvignon. Out here on business and the team opted to dine here. I was fortunate enough to be familiar with this establishment and have frequented it many times back home (metro Phoenix, AZ). Upon arrival, we were seated immediately. I chose to go with my favorite Bruschetta flight and I chose: Brie/Apple & Fig, Boquerones (anchovies), Smoked Salmon Pesto and Warm artichoke. For me everything tasted (except the Boquerones, this was the first time i tried) was so much better than what I've had in Phoenix area. The Boquerones was ok, I would have preferred it to be mixed in with the tomatoes vs just topped. The environment/area we occupied/sat in had a neat decor of old VHS tapes lining on the shelves. I don't recall seeing this in the other locations I've tried in Phoenix. Our waitress was friendly, professional and attentive. Everyone in my party was very pleased with their selections for diner. My husband and I decided to give this spot a try, less than a quarter mile from our home. Plenty of parking for the entire shopping complex, which is rare in Buckhead dining options. Its location makes their exposure top tier, and the exterior gives off a chill vibe. Not a chill vibe. Very echoey and loud, and service was all over the place. It's a pool service setup; ask anyone for anything--we didn't seem to have a lead server. I've worked pool service, and it still requires there be a lead server for each section to make sure the diner's requests are met and not duplicated. We love a good bruschetta; the crunch the savory blends of infused oils, herbs, and garlic to name a few. There was no crunch--it was barely toasted, which is not authentic bruschetta; and that's their signature! Over the top server table touches since no one knew what had been ordered or asked at the table (and others). Didn't seem to care to wait on us. They had happy hour glasses of wine for $6, so we each ordered what we wanted. I had the Sauvignon blanc and it was pretty good! I ordered the PREAM bowl from the brunch menu but the server just assumed I wanted the regular one without the egg so I had to ask for a side of soft boiled egg after my meal was brought out. Unsure what the real difference is between the brunch and regular and didn't care to look into it. The bowl was ok. I didn't love it. If I do end up returning I'll try something other than that. I was in the area for an evening movie and decided to stop in for a quick bite. I went with the Meatballs and the OMG Grilled Cheese, and both totally hit the spot. The grilled cheese comes with this creamy tomato soup that's so good I could eat it every single day. The meatballs were served with goat cheese sprinkled on top, and they were super flavorful. If you need charcuterie or some type of a spread on short notice, order delivery of their hummus, table cheese, or charcuterie, and some olives for good measure. They'll hold up well for delivery, and you can serve them in their boxes or shift them to serving trays of your own. They're that good. The hummus is fresh, richly textured. Order some extra bread or add a couple sleeves of crackers or some sliced vegetables. It's a lot of hummus. The cheese selection for the table cheese is varied and fun. Something creamy, something strong, something mild (a delightful whipped burrata), and a couple of lovely, traditional cheeses as well. Honey, nuts. You could add something, but it's got enough razzle dazzle, you dont need to. The olives come in a decent quantity and variety, so there'll be something for everyone. I have only eaten in once so far, and I'll be back. Wines, by the glass and by the bottle, solid variety, and they have a club. They also have seasonal and standard cocktails. It's a perfect place to wind down, close a work day, maybe even handle some light work with a light glass and side of sparkling water. They're known for their bruschettas. They have a standing menu and seasonal one of the deliciously topped bread. They even have gluten free bruschetta. When we ate these, their more traditional ones were the best flavors. The others may have been more flashy or read more interesting, but they actually tasted a bit more boring. The bread is thin enough and firm enough. It holds up with the toppings no matter what they are, so you can share these, and it's like having a whole sandwich. The interior is light enough, not too bright though. The bruschetta was the star of the show. We loved all that we tried, no bad options, and our favorite was the prosciutto, fig, mascarpone which had a sweet kick. I also loved the sweet and spicy goat cheese one which was perfectly creamy. The burrata, bacon, tomato, and arugula one was loaded up very high with fresh chopped tomatoes and the bacon gave it a delicious crunch. Small parking lot in the front and shared parking lot in the back. The bar is huge and you can sit inside or outside. I heard that this building use to be a Blockbuster video store so that is why VHS tapes are decorated on the walls. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the $6 pitcher of beer. This time the two rotating options were a light Peach beer and a Mango IPA. The light Peach beer tasted similar to all light beers with a slight Peach aftertaste. The Mango IPA was sweet and had a great taste throughout. I got a Bruschetta boar. I tried both Bruschetta Board options. It was the Mountain berry, French onion, Salami and pesto, and Salmon and pesto. Popped in for lunch on a weekday with some legendary weather as the backdrop. The outdoor seating area did not disappoint. Prickly pear lemonade was beautiful as a mocktail and the bruschetta selection was as varied as it was fresh. Marscapone, prosciutto, and fig was divine. Service was laid back and friendly, and while the view isn't adorable, the patio area is and the food made us not care. Great concept and well-executed. 5/5 great spot to hang with friends.
